Chapter 6 – The Six Astral Kairos Blades

"So, you are Nuri's and Bell's smith? I heard you were with them when the silverbacks attacked."

Bell and Nuri had passed by the Blue Pharmacy to get a check-up as well as to reassure the chienthrope girl of the Miach Familia. When she heard about their plans to retrieve their armour, Naaza decided to tag along with the two bunnies after getting permission from Miach.

The pharmacy didn't have a large customer base so the activity was very limited. As such, Miach would have no problem in looking after the Pharmacy on his own. That, and he was happy to see her smile and make new friends who truly cared for her.

Now she found herself waiting in one of the Hephaestus Familia shops, to see how the rabbits would look like with their armour. Standing to her left was Welf, who got acquainted with her for the first time since his two companions first introduced her by word to him.

"Ah yes, it was a terrifying experience but I'd do it again with those two."

Naaza extended her left arm and shook the smith's left hand. The chienthrope did so to avoid exposing the state of her metallic limb. Though she trusted Nuri and Bell, and they him, she wasn't ready to share this secret with anyone else.

"They did tell me that someone was joining, but they haven't told me much about you."

"I'm Naaza Erisuis. I work at the Blue Pharmacy."

"You're a healer?"

"I can make potions and am a doctor but I don't have any healing magic. I have also reached level two."

"What? Level two?"

The girl nodded before turning to look at the changing rooms, waiting for the bunnies to come out.

"By the way I heard that they met minotaurus' while diving in the dungeon a few days ago."

"They did. It was even more surprising to hear that the cows got done in by them."

"Seriosuly?! I did not know that!"

"Loki Familia testified to that."

Entering the conversation was Tsubaki, she too was surprised by what she had heard.

"They really killed a couple of minotaurus'?"

"Yes, it was even more surprising to learn that it was Vanargand that testified for the two of them."

"That lousy pup? Huh, I really wonder how they did it now."

"Yes. But if you want to know how they did it, then you'd have to ask them or Vanargand. The Kenki also saw it happen apparently."

"Well, they just keep breaking records don't they? Hey Nuri want me to come and help you? I'll be gentle."

Welf facepalmed while Naaza's eyes narrowed. Her frown warned the pervy captain of the Hephaestus Familia to keep her hands to herself.

"I'm fine."

"Hehe."

Welf stared at Tsubaki for a moment before turning to Naaza.

"Ahem, anyways. How far down have you been?"

"I've been down to the twentieth floor so far. What about you?"

"Twentieth, oh man, I've only been down to the ninth floor."

"You shouldn't worry, you'll get there soon."

"Well yeah, when partying with Bell and Nuri there is no doubt about that. We'll probably be able to reach the middle floor by the end of the next month. This will help me become a better smith as well. With that I'll be able to make even better equipment for the two of them."

Naaza smiled seeing as there was someone the two could rely on.

"It also gets me out of the forge. If not for them, then I'd probably be a shut it with no one to socialize with me."

As he finished his line, the rustling of the changing room's drapes caught their attention. The curtains were moved out of the way and out came the newly armoured bunnies. Their appearance was nothing short of dashing and cool.

Bell wore light armour which covered only his vitals, maximising his agility. The design was mostly similar to the previous one but there were some notable improvements. He had shoulder pads, a chest plate, vambraces, knee pads as well as a thick plate on each side of his waist that went down halfway down his thigh. Attached to the straps that upheld the chest piece was a metal plate on his back, which covered the upper back side of the torso.

His shoulder pads had been made thinner but covered more area, while his chest piece had been made larger and thicker without hindering motion too much. There was also the addition of a thin chain mail to protect his sides and stomach from light attacks. Thankfully, his level allowed him strength that no human would be able to achieve and as such, the addition of the weight was negligible. Without a falna, such armour wouldn't have been a viable option.

As usual, the little bunny wore his black shirt and black pants along a pair of brown gloves and boots. Strapped around his right thigh was a large pouch and over his back plate he slung his backpack. All in all, Bell's armour was optimal for him. Welf had done a great job and had followed his request really well.

Coming out next was Nuri, who differently from Bell had been approached with a more eastern style, courtesy of Tsubaki saying he'd look good. Like a traditional ronin Nuri wore a half white, half red nagagi with long flowing sleeves. Gold and red sakura flowers were embroidered on the surface of the crimson and white cloth respectively. Matching the nagagi was his hakama which went all the way to his ankles, ending with red armoured rims.

To protect him Welf had forged a large and thick armoured chest plate covered his whole thorax. The plate jutted outwards slightly over his heart as the centre of the plate was thicker, becoming thinner as it reached its edges, which was mirrored on his back. Seven layered tassets covered his right and left sides of his waist, going halfway down his thighs. He wore fingerless gloves followed by vambraces which covered his forearms and were hidden under the sleeves of his nagagi.

Covering shoulders and arms were a three layered armour piece on each side. Unlike Bell's shoulder pads, the layered armour wouldn't protect the scapula and the shoulder from attacks which came from above or behind. To top it all off, he wore armoured greaves under his long hakama, to protect his legs.

Both Bell's and Nuri's armour had been made from top quality steel. Although nowhere near as hard as adamantite, orichalcum, it made for a top of the line third class armour. There were many materials which were great to make armour and weapons such as holydite, mithril, oathtree walnut, amalgamated heroic alloy or even monster drops. The list just goes on. However, those were materials that even first class adventurers would find hard to get their hands on. Tsubaki though knew one day the rabbits would reach that level.

Bell then strapped his twin blades to his back, just over his waist line while Nuri tied the sheath of his blade to the side of his waist. As they finished prepping armour and weapons the two turned to their companions. Nuri though opted to throw on a cloak as well, he just didn't like it when people stared and there was no doubt that people would stare with how they dressed.

Nuri would never say it out loud due to his embarrassment but he was brimming with excitement. He had always loved the Far Eastern culture and he loved his current attire. Restraining his childish desire to squeal Nuri kept a neutral face before joining the conversation that Bell had started.

"Very cool Bell. Very cool."

Naaza was taking Bell's new outfit in with a smile of appreciation before turning to Nuri. Her face went from happy to unamused very quickly.

"Mou, why hide it?"

"I don't like when people stare."

"Oh come on handsome, flash us a little looksy Nuri."

Tsubaki moved closer with a grin.

"Stop speaking dirty Tsubaki, you'll make them uncomfortable."

"Ah shut it Welfy."

Seeing his thoughtful look Welf spoke up.

"What's the matter?"

"Umm … eh? Oh it's nothing. I was just thinking that maybe I should try buying another weapon. It doesn't fit the colour scheme, but more importantly I'm trying not to use them too often. I really want to keep these weapons secret after all. That and I wanna try using a spear or a regular sword."

Tsubaki nodded with a serious face, as a smith she knew what he meant. She knew that the weapon was powerful and special. Her Goddess was somehow involved but never spilt the beans, which made it all the more special.

"What about you Bell?"

"I don't know. Maybe I'll buy a pair of daggers to hide them, but I'm not quite used to handling weapons like onii-sama. I am trying to become proficient with my knives. So, I don't intend to switch to another weapon right now."

"I suppose that is the best choice for you."

Welf was thinking about Bell's words with a hand on his chin while Naaza decided to speak.

"I hope you two do not try to head to the dungeon today. I'm aware that you might feel as if you've recovered, but you need too take a few days to rest."

However, the girl was shocked when they didn't even try to complain, only shaking their heads. The two then explained how they never planned to go to the dungeon in the first place. Rather, they had arranged to go around Orario to take care of other business which didn't involve fighting.

"You're going around Orario?"

"Yep, we plan to go and explore the city a little. We're new to the city and we can take this time to learn more about Orario."

"I see that makes sense.".

Bell looked at Naaza then at Welf, his face becoming brighter as an idea popped in his head.

"Say, you want to come with us?"

"Eh?"

Naaza and Welf were surprised at the question, not expecting the invitation.

"Why not? It will also allow me to keep an eye on your health."

"Well, I'm in I can teach you about Orario and the layout of the city."

"That's great!"

"Since you need to meet Goibniu-sama and Hephaestus-sama, why don't you two go on. Me and Welf will wait for you at the Guild. In the meantime I'll go tell Miach-sama about my plans."

"What about you Welf?"

"I'll check a few things at the forge then come meet you in an hour at the Guild building.

"Alright see you later.. Let's hurry Bell. Bye Tsubaki!"

The bunnies rapidly took off leaving behind a pouty captain.

"Lucky you, you get to leave."

"That's what you get for being the captain of the Familia and for going against Hephaestus-sama."

"Welf, you better get your ass going before I make it so that you never leave."

The red haired gulped before turning to the chienthrope girl.

"Umm … how about we get going as well?"

"Alright, see you around Tsubaki-san."

.

Bell and Nuri immediately headed for the office room which belonged to Hephaestus after leaving the shop. The two took the platform to go the floor above and came to a halt before the door of the Goddess' office. They knocked politely and entered once they heard the Godly smith's voice allowing them in.

"Bell, Nuri. What are you here for?"

"We just wanted to tell you that we were going around the city with Welf. We've been barred from entering the dungeon for a while."

"Hehe, well I'm not surprised. You've been pulling off one too many stunts lately."

"Sorry about that."

"Well, as long you two are fine."

"We were also going to pass by Goibniu before leaving. We haven't met him since arriving back in Orario."

"Oh, that's good. I'm sure he'll be delighted to see the two of you again."

"He'll also be happy that someone picked these weapons up, right onii-sama?"

As if remembering something crucial a look of surprise appeared on the Goddess' face.

"Oh right! I kept forgetting but I have something for you Nuri."

"Hmm? For me?"

The taller bunny asked with a tilt of his head.

"Yep, something to do with your weapons. Give me a second."

The red haired Goddess vanished behind a door, she entered her forge and started rummaging through many of her creations. Nuri and Bell patiently waited for the Goddess as the sound of many metallic objects were sorted. Hephaestus soon found what she was looking for, which the two bunnies understood as they heard her exclamation.

"Alright, this is it Nuri."

She came out holding onto a weird object that looked like a poor attempt to make the limbs of a bird.

"Are those wings?"

The Goddess stared at him with a less than amused look.

"No you dumb bunny. They are sheaths."

"These things? Looks like a membrane to me."

"Yes, you see here? Between the membrane like cloth as you so eloquently put, these rings is where you put the sheath."

Nuri did as she had explained and a look of surprise came to his face.

"If I had two more then this would really look like a reptiles foot."

The bunny was met with a slap to the back of the head.

"Ow."

"You done?"

"Yes. But … it certainly looks interesting."

"Anyways, do you know what this means?"

Nuri looked at the Goddess then stared at the sheaths before turning back to the red haired smith.

"Y-you mean that … there really are more of these swords?"

"Correct. This divine blade is part of a set of six. So you might want to go to Preblica, that's where you found them right?"

"Yes, but why six?"

"Beats me, ask that old man of yours."

"This was Zeus' idea?"

"Yea, said it looked cool. Apparently he stole this concept from an old warrior back from the Age of the Heroes from the Far East called Masamune Date."

"This looks so cooool!"

The two turned to look at Bell's glowing eyes, as they stared at the sheath in Nuri's hands.

"Bell?"

"Grampa is a genius!"

Hephaestus stared at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Do you know who he is Bell? I mean this Masamune Date."

"Of course I do! How could you not know the heroics he accomplished?! His bravery and strength?! He is a legend!"

The Goddess had to lean back at the outburst causing Nuri to chuckle.

"Allow me to elaborate. Date Masamune was a lord in one of the regions of the old Far East, back when it was all unified under the name of Yamato. He was a powerful lord and a descendant of a legendary bloodline. He was known for his tactics and for founding one of the most powerful cities to have ever existed which is now known as Sendai.

The other thing he was popular for was his swordsmanship and his missing eye. Through that he was often called the One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu and developed a sword style to resemble a dragon's attack. That is the reason he wielded six swords, to attack like a dragon would with its claws. It's ironic how he died to the One-Eyed Black Dragon, though it still had both its eyes at that time. Even so, as a legendary warrior and leader he was known throughout the lands of Yamato until his demise to the Black Dragon."

"I see. Quite the figure."

"Indeed."

The attention was then grabbed by Bell once again as he stared resolutely at Bell.

"Onii-sama!"

"E-eh? W-what's the matter Bell?"

The younger sibling was extremely excited as he leaned close to Nuri with his undeniable eagerness.

"We must find the other swords!"

"Ah o-okay. Well umm, thank you Hephaestus. We'll go to Goibniu then to Preblica to find the rest of the swords before Bell explodes. I can only guess they're there since that's where this one was left."

"Hahaha, alright. Come to me one you found them. I also want to see how cool you look with them."

"Mou, don't tease me Hephaestus."

The Goddess giggled in her left hand while she used the right one to wave the two rabbits goodbye.

.

"I just remembered, but … you really used to like Masamune's stories no?"

"Of course, though not as great as those of the Argonaut or Albert, he was still incredible. Though I have to say that Epimetheus still remains one of my favourites. Because it sounds the most realistic and the most inspiring."

"Is that so? I still prefer the Argonaut and Masamune's personally."

"Then let's see who will become the greatest hero!"

"We'll see Bell. We'll see."

The two kept walking towards the forges of the Goibniu Familia whilst happily discussing their favourite hero stories. Their laughter and smiles drew the looks of everyone passing by. Coupled with their unique and adorable looks as well as Bell's shiny armour and Nuri's suspicious cloak, the two were magnets that made everyone's eyes turn to them.

"Here it is."

Bell and Nuri looked at the sign hanging on the wall just above the door. The two proceeded to push the door open before entering inside. The building was filled with forges no different in layout to the manor of the Hephaestus Familia.

They kept walking forwards until they arrived at the reception desk, where they were greeted by a tall and slender man. His brown eyes, showed an ardent passion, and the lean muscles were proof of years of smithing experience. Although the man didn't look like a warrior his aura was not any less intimidating.

"What'ch you here for?"

"We are here to meet Goibniu-sama."

"Look kids, he is busy and I doubt you two can afford his pieces."

"Please tell him that two great bunnies have come to visit him. Just tell him. Please?"

Bell's method to persuade people was to act cute and it seemed to always work. Albeit the man was confused at what Bell said one look at said bunny and there we signs of reflections going in his head. Evidence of the effectiveness of this method was shown as the man hesitated, he sighed and with a troubled look he left the counter to go find the God who led this smithing Familia.

.

Bright crimson sparks flew as the hammer struck the blazing hot metal. The embers harmlessly bounced off the toned muscles of the man working with the forge. His grey hair was symbol of the God's ancient age, his eyes focused and his spirit unwavering. Each strike was precise and powerful.

"Goibniu-sama. There are two people who wish to meet you."

"Oh who is it that wishes to meet me?"

"Umm … they said two great … bunnies wanted to meet you?"

"Hmm."

The hammer kept striking the metal with a rhythmic beat.

"Hmm."

Then the hammer ceased moving. The confused deity turned to look at his subordinate.

"Bunnies, what is this abo-"

The God stopped talking as his confusion turned to hesitation.

"Bunnies … wait, great? Great bunnies."

The man who had come to relay the message was shocked to see the God interrupt his work. The look of hesitation and hope that was born in his eyes was unnatural. He reflected on the answer for a while before looking at the man.

"Herman, did they have white hair?"

"Yes."

"Where are they now?"

"In the reception area."

The God didn't even bother placing the metal in the water to cool down. He simply put his hammer down and raised from his seat.

"My lord? What of your work?"

"If they truly are who I think they are. What work would be comparable to seeing them again."

.

The God walked with Herman into the reception area where two people were waiting. The God gasped lightly, expecting but not being ready for them to be here. The two who were looking around, turned just int time to spot the old God. Black eyes met ruby red ones before Bell smiled excitedly.

"Oh Goibniu-sama, hi!"

Bell waved energetically at the God who seemed shocked. His eye could not believe what he was seeing. The same smile that departed on a suicide mission was now here, once again within the safety of the walls of Orario.

"Bell, Nuri, it really is you two. You … are alive! Oh heavens, it's been a while eh?"

The two smiled at the God before going up to him to give him a tight hug, much to the shock of everyone that was present to see.

"Come with me you two."

The God decided to lead the two bunnies to his forge away from prying eyes.

"I've heard that two rabbits were causing a commotion in Orario as of recently. Never expected you to come back here. Nor did I know you were alive."

The last part was whispered but heard nonetheless by Bell and Nuri.

"Hehe, it's good to see you Goibniu-sama."

The God ruffled Bell's and Nuri's hair.

"Do you know how terrifying it was to hear that your Familia was destroyed and you never came back?"

"We're sorry about that Goibniu, but Bell and I were badly injured, after all we didn't use to have a falna at that time. Honestly it's a miracle we lived."

"I know. But to see you alive and kicking. This is the greatest news I've received in a while. How long have you two been here before you decided to come visit this old man?"

"Umm … about two weeks?"

"Let me guess, that stinky lass knew but didn't tell me."

"Well, Hephaestus did discover after we partied up with someone from her Familia."

"Seriously, she could have told me."

"Oh and guess what?"

Nuri and Bell chuckled before bringing out their weapons. His eyes widened in surprise as he saw the divine blades.

"Oh heavens, you managed to retrieve them? And if you can lift it, that means?"

"Yep me and Bell seem to be able to wield the sword and knives respectively."

"Good, good. If its you using them, then I can rest assured."

"We're heading off to Preblica to retrieve the other five."

"Good, she informed you about that. Nuri, were you perhaps looking for another weapon? Not as flashy nor as powerful?"

"Eh? How do you know that?"

"Hahaha, you've always been like that. Reserved and shy, never liking when people stared at you. Don't think I forgot that in the past few years."

"As expected from you, you're memory is as sharp as ever."

"Then leave that to me. I'll make you a good second class weapon. Neither too powerful nor too flashy."

"What? But … I don't really have the money for that."

"What to do you take me for Nuri? I'm not going to charge you for this one."

"Is that really okay?"

"It's a gift from to you. To your return."

"I … thank you Goibniu. I'll come back for it once its done."

"Now do tell me before you go. Which Familia have you joined?"

"We joined the Astraea Familia."

The God nearly tripped as he moved to the forge to start Nuri's weapon.

"She allowed you to join?"

"She invited. Oh, but it's a secret."

The God laughed heartily.

"Fear not, your secret is safe with me."

The two bunnies smiled brightly, happy to see that the smithing God hadn't changed since their last meeting.

"Then we'll get going."

"Alright. Do remember that you're always welcome here. Come whenever you need or want to. I'll leave a notice at the Guild once your weapon is done."

"Thanks Goibniu. Just leave it to Eina, she's our advisor."

"Don't get yourself killed you hear me?"

"Don't worry, we'll be fine. See you!"

.

Arriving at the entrance to the Guild, Bell and Nuri found their friends waiting for them sat on a bench. The two were complaining about their everyday life when they noticed two bunnies closing in on them. Bell and Nuri then revealed the change of plans to their friends, which put a wrench in their plans.

"I see. Well then its convenient that we are in front of the Guild. Getting a permission is going to be a pain but since we're just third class adventurers it shouldn't be too hard."

"Then let's go get it."

.

"Hehe, we got the permissions. That girl Eina made it really easy for us once she heard that it was for the two of you."

"Ah well, she was lenient for us, since she is our advisor."

The little bunny spoke with a bright smile which gave Naaza an idea.

"Well isn't that a surprise? She was pretty cute."

The chienthrope was grinning slyly causing Bell to blush.

"Anyways, now that we're done and we have our permission, so how about we start going?"

"Sure thing man. By the way what's that in Bell's hand?"

The attention was drawn to the two boxes in Bell's hands. Cutely wrapped in paper, the smell that came out of the box was very inviting. Bell shifted uncomfortably as he recounted what happened.

"Oh that? Umm, how to say this. On our way here we met this cute grey haired waitress. She was insistent that we dropped a magic stone and wanted to return it to us. Though we haven't been in the dungeon for a while, so it can't be ours. Then Bell's stomach decided to make its entrance and we were tricked into accepting her lunch."

"The catch being?"

"We have to go and eat at her work place."

"Hahaha, Bell man. Feels bad. What's the place?"

"The Hostess of Fertility."

"Oh we've been there. At least it's a place that we know well. The food is also amazing."

"Well, me and Bell were planning to go there anyways, so it's not much of a loss."

Naaza was the next person to speak as she returned their attention to the permission slips.

"Alright, let's go before you two get into any more trouble."

.

The group of four arrived at the Eastern gate of Orario, where they were lucky enough to find a carriage that was going in their same direction. Being in between Orario and Rakia, Preblica was a pretty lively town as plenty of merchants passed through there. However it also meant that is was also a very risky place. After all, Rakia randomly attempted to invade Orario every once in a while, so Rakia and their people aren't very well received by the city of Orario.

Nervously looking around, the driver of the carriage kept his guard up. He'd scan the surroundings every once in a while before checking on the people in the carriage. His look was nothing other than one filled with worry and fear.

"Are you okay?"

Bell the ever kind soul tried to help the man out.

"You guys should be careful, I heard that there are plenty of bandits in this area recently.

The little bunny looked back, but none of the three who were chatting seemed to care. Not that he was worried about that either. With a level two and three level ones, how could they ever lose to a group of random bandits.

"There is no need to worry, we're all adventurers here. Naaza-san is a level two as well."

"A level two? Then I guess there is nothing to worry about."

Bell successfully reassured the man with his bright smile before popping his head back into the carriage and joining Nuri's side. He sat next to his brother who was discussing with Welf and Naaza on how to improve his armour.

Bell looked down at his own armour, which made him gain confidence. A shiny armour that was just like that of the heroes he always read about in his books. Bell felt embarrassed so he didn't say it out loud but he was really giddy. He wanted to show it off and impress both Naaza and Welf, but more importantly he wanted to make Nuri proud. He was sure that now more than ever he was ready for a true adventure.

Everyone's thoughts and conversations were cut short as the carriage stopped abruptly and the four fell on each other. Bell got off Nuri before moving forwards to the head of the carriage. The rabbit could not see outside but he heard many voices, which he was very sure that by the aggressive shouts, didn't belong to anyone with any kind intentions.

"Hey kid, you said that you would take care of the bandits. Not to impose but now would be a great time."

Bell peaked outside from the front of the carriage. Soon the heads of his fellow group members all popped out. They were met with the sight of seven bandits, all wearing ragged clothes, worn out armour and chipped weapons. The seven had the front surrounded, preventing the carriage from proceeding forwards.

'Not the best bandits I've seen.'

Nuri looked at them closely, noticing the bad state in which their weapons were in. The driver however, was in an even worse state as fear overtook him. The reins in his hands shook as his eyes were fixed on the bandits who barred the way.

"Aight old man, drop yo stuff and empty yer fucking pockets! Then scurry before we turn ye into mincemeat! Hyehehehe!"

The other ruffians all laughed maniacally as they pointed their weapons at the carriage.

"Don't worry mister, I'll take care of them."

With that the young white haired adventurer jumped out of the carriage and approached the bandits.

"Bell?"

Welf and Naaza worriedly called out to the boy who headed off to fight the group of bandits.

"Don't worry, Bell will be fine."

Nuri hopped onto the driver seat of the carriage right next to the terrified man who was giving them a ride. Naaza and Welf got off and readied their weapons. They knew that Bell fought against a minotaurus and they trusted Nuri's words, but they just couldn't stand and do nothing. At the same time they knew how Bell was, so they decided to simply get prepared in case something went wrong.

"Stop there you people! Turn back now!"

The leader, a big and gruff man, stopped to look at the boy that was at least two heads smaller than him. He began laughing at Bell which made the little bunny's eye twitch. Despite him being even bigger than Nuri, the guy wasn't anywhere as intimidating at his older sibling, even when considering the muscly body build.

"Hahaha, what you glaring at little bunny? What are you going to do, fling those flimsy knives at us? You think you're some sort of hero out of a fairy tale?! Hahaha! You want to become one of those pathetic heroes that go around saving people?! That's just disgusting, thinking they are popular just because they do some good. They are such lame stories, just made up things. A couple of cowards that perform foolish acts. You kid must be delusional, what's so good about some random people who can use the sword. I bet you I'd strike them all down in one go! Hahaha!"

Bell shook with anger when hearing the words of the bandit.

"Right, how about we learn a little about Bell? Lesson number one, don't insult heroes in front of him."

From besides the driver of the carriage, Nuri spoke to Naaza and Welf, who wanted to go and bash the bandits in the face.

"Eh?"

"Just watch."

Naaza and Welf looked as Bell launched a fist at the man's face. Without any warning and preparation, the man was met with a punch to the face which sent him flying back. The gruff man's nose and teeth were broken and the eye swollen and purple. The loud crack made so that there was no doubt that the jaw broke along with the teeth. Blood spurted out of his nose as Bell's strength completely shocked the bandits.

"He must have the blessing of a God!"

"Surround him!"

The group of men circled around Bell, in a vein attempt to defeat him. However, Bell proved too strong for them and it only took a dozen seconds to knock them all out. Bell now stood in the middle of a circle formed by the bodies of the unconscious thieves.

Naaza and Welf were surprised seeing Bell take care of them all, though nowhere near as shocked as the driver was. The strength of a God's blessing was made really obvious to the driver now that he had witnessed a fourteen year old beat a bunch of bandits on his own.

"Shall we get back on track? We still need to reach Preblica."

"Oh right. But what about the big rock blocking the road?"

The four adventurers turned to see a massive boulder, which the bandits had used to form a blockade on the road.

"That's going to take a while to remove."

Naaza huffed in frustration as she stared at the rock. Even with her level two strength, breaking it or moving would take a while. Particularly because she was still a low level two, who hadn't specialized in strength but in dexterity. As a matter of fact, her strength along with her endurance were only at D back when she levelled up to two.

Her magic was even lower since it was unrelated to her job as a doctor. Only her agility and dexterity had B and C respectively. She didn't deny that her stats were rather low, but the excitement when she heard she could level up had took over her own body.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of that."

"How will you do that onii-sama?"

"Just watch."

Nuri went up to the boulder and unsheathed his black blade. He grabbed the hilt with both his hands as he lined his feet one in front of the other. The sword was raised over his head when he took a deep breath in and the wisps surrounded the blade. The wisps ignited into bright blue flames which enveloped the entire blade.

Nuri brought the flaming sword down onto the boulder, with strength that made the ground explode into a cloud of dust. The rock was sliced in half, each side rolling apart from one another. It was a shocking scene for all but Bell.

That on the other hand, was not the end as Nuri used his skill to lift the two boulders and have them float out of the way. As they were removed from the road, the tall rabbit stopped using the skill, dropping the two rocks down with a loud bang, accompanied by a dust cloud under each which showed how heavy the two sides were.

"W-what? Since when can you do that?"

"Since the silverback attack."

"Keep it a secret for me, alright?"

"Y-yea, I got you man."

"Don't worry about that, I swear to Miach that it will stay between us. But what about the driver?"

"I don't think that will be a problem."

Naaza and Welf followed Nuri's finger as he pointed at the carriage, where the man who owned the carriage was passed out on the driver seat.

"Oh, well I suppose that works."

After spending a few minutes waking up the driver, they asked him a couple of questions and found out that he forgot what happened after the bandits were defeated. It was amazing how it all seemed to work fine in the end. With that out of the way, the journey to Preblica proceeded without any further hitches.

.

Last time, the two hadn't had a chance to take a look at the town. With the company of Naaza and Welf, the two rabbits enjoyed the town's landscapes, markets and food stalls. Based on Welf's experience, apparently the town is closer to Rakia than Orario in style, being situated nearer to the Kingdom led by Ares.

"So, where are we going?"

Naaza started asking questions as she took a bite out of her meat snack.

"It's near here. Just follow us."

"Are you sure you want me and Welf to follow you?"

"Yea, I mean, it feels personal."

"Thank you, you two. But it's fine. The two of you already know about the weapons in our possession. The thing is that after talking to Hephaestus and Goibniu we discovered that my swords are part of a set of six. That is why we came here, to recover them."

"Oh so this is where you got them? Wait! There are five more of those special swords?!"

"Yep."

"Oh dear Hephaestus. Say where was that place?"

"It's a secret."

"Oh come on."

Welf rolled his eyes as Nuri and Bell refused to reveal anything about the location of the divine blades.

"Just follow us."

.

The two followed Bell and Nuri to a collapsed abandoned building. Turning their confused faces to the bunnies, they were met with a frown by Nuri.

"If I knew that I had to search the place, I wouldn't have collapsed the building."

The two companions raised their eyebrows as they heard him speak.

"You what?"

"O-oh, um … ignore I said that."

"Kinda hard to ignore man."

"Anyways, help Bell look around."

"You going inside?"

"Yes, but I don't remember seeing them last time I was in, so I don't think the other five were hidden inside."

Welf nodded before following Bell and Naaza who began scanning the surroundings for any black blades or details that might stand out. Meanwhile Nuri raised his blade and with a deep breath he brought it down slamming the ground with the force of a waterfall. The explosion rebounded through the town as rocks and debris were sent flying into the sky.

"WHAT THE HELL?"

"Calm down Welf, that was onii-sama's doing."

"That was?!"

The little white haired bunny nodded before going back to search for other black blades. They only walked for a few more minutes before his eyes went wide as he spotted a black sword stuck in the back of the wall of an abandoned building.

"Look, there it is."

Naaza's head tilted to the side as she watched where it had been stored.

"Umm, yes. What a truly inconspicuous place to hide it."

Welf carefully traced his hands on the scabbard admiring the divine work. Too curious he grabbed the handle and tried to pull it out, only to fail as Bell reminded him that no one could so much as make the divine blades budge.

"Remember Hephaestus said that only onii-sama can lift the swords."

"Damn, my only time to get a proper look without Hephaestus-sama scolding me and I can't even move the damn thing."

"Anyways, let us mark this location on the map so that we can return later with Nuri."

Welf then proceeded to place a mark on the map.

"All done. Let's keep looking then."

.

The group of three spent another two hours wondering around before returning to the place where they had split off from Nuri.

"Hey guys, found anything?"

"Yep, we managed to find two actually."

"Really? I also found two in the meantime."

Nuri then raised two raven blades for them to see before allocating them in the special sheath that Hephaestus had given him.

"Great, that means that after we recover the two we found there is only one to go."

"That's right."

The group of now four proceeded to walk towards the marked spots while Welf then asked Nuri where he found the two blades.

"Turns out that there really was a hidden sword in the building. It took me a whole hour of digging before I found it."

"Ye, we could hear you 'digging' all the way from the other side of town."

Welf quoted with his hands.

"What? You can't expect me to dig with a shovel through solid stone."

"Well … no, but-"

"Anyways. Where was the other one?"

Naaza interrupted not having the energy to deal with Nuri. He truly was clueless sometimes.

"That one was actually a little hard to recover and bothersome. I found it in full display in a church."

"A church?"

The younger rabbit tilted his head confused.

"Yes, apparently it was a divine relic, people were praying in front of it."

"Umm, as far as I know, churches are quite the hard headed people. How did you get it?"

"After thirty minutes of arguing with the priest he finally said the magic words: prove it to me. That this holy relic is yours. So when no one can lift it and I suddenly picked it up I faced no opposition."

"Hahaha, way to go bro."

Welf was laughing hard, while Naaza looked at him with a slight smirk.

"That's what you find bothersome?"

"No, it was the fact that the priest changed from calling me a heretic to calling me an emissary from heaven and begging for mercy."

The red haired smith, the chienthrope and the rabbit looking human all stared at him for a brief moment before bursting in laughter.

"Yes, yes. Very funny moment. Keep laughing at my expense."

"Man, I would've paid to see the scene. I suppose you'd rather not come here ever again then?"

"You are very correct Welf. After we find the final sword we shall leave and never return."

Within an hour, the group had went around and retrieved the first sword, which was stuck in the wall, the other one that they had to recovered, was, to Nuri's disbelief, being used as a table leg.

"Ye, we were also shocked to see it be used as a table leg Nuri. You're not the only one."

"Oh great."

The group of four adventurers approached the bar to which the table belonged just as an old man, looking in his late sixty's, came out walking supported by a stick. He had a wrinkly face and but despite his age he was still rather tall and well-built with white hair and beard. He was not hunched back, rather he looked quite fit for someone his age. To their luck he was the owner, unfortunately they would soon discover that his personality would make him a handful.

"Hello there, we were hoping to meet the owner of this bar."

"Is that so? You're looking at him right now."

"Really? That's great, because we wanted the black sword that you are currently using as a damn table leg."

The tick marks on Welf's forehead were very noticeable and Bell couldn't help but wonder if it was the correct choice to let the smith speak.

"That? No way."

"What? Why not? We'll find you a substitute. We'll pay it if needed."

"No means no. That black staff is mine."

"Look old man, that staff is a sword not something to be used as a table leg. As a smith this is just unacceptable."

"So what? That is mine."

Nuri then interjected stopping Welf from losing his mind.

"Actually that is a relic that belongs to my Familia so it would be great if you could return it."

"Nah, finders keepers kid."

"Except that relic belonged to my Familia before you got it. Besides, you can't lift it or use it. What use it to you other than being a table leg. The purpose of that weapon was to be wielded not be left to be mistreated like you are."

The old man however, didn't seem to want to back down.

"Watch it kid, my grandson will one day be able to wield that sword. He has always admired swordsmen and is the captain of the guard around here. The youngest in this town's history at only the age of eighteen. I bet you wouldn't stand a chance against him. He will be worthy of that weapon, just you wait. Certainly more than you, what can a country bumpkin like you understand about swordsmanship."

Nuri kept his smile but Welf, Bell and Naaza could see his face growing darker.

"You know. I could just take it and leave, there is no need for me to oblige to your desires. The sword belonged to my Familia and you refusing to return is tantamount to you stealing it. And allow me to say that no one ever dared to steal something from my Familia."

"Huh? You want to fight?"

The door to the store burst open as a girl came running out. She must have heard the commotion from outside

"Grampa what are you doing?!"

The girl ran to the side of the old man, grabbing his arm and stopping him. The girl was a beautiful teen with bright brown eyes. She had long light brown hair which she kept in a single braid and wore a green waitress dress.

"I'm terribly sorry about him. He has quite the temper and though I warned him a lot of times not to get into arguments with people he doesn't seem to listen."

That's when yet another person joined the group. He wore simple silver armour that covered his chest, shoulders, arms as well as his legs. He was around as tall as Bell, with brown hair and brown eyes. A standard sword that you'd see anyone in a town's guard carry laid on his waist.

"Shera? What happened here?"

"Ah my boy. Just in time, these people want to take the black sword."

The boy in question looked at the group of adventurers before focusing specifically on Nuri and spotting four black blades that looked exactly like the one that supported the table.

"I see, my apologies for the trouble my grampa has been causing you. I heard from people in town that someone was going around picking up all the black swords. Please feel free to take the black sword."

The old man looked shocked at the words.

"But Medivh, you always dreamt about using that sword."

"That does not mean we can take something that belongs to others. And we certainly cannot push our titles on others. Besides, look at his swords, it clearly belongs to him. How many times do I have to tell you?"

The young man grabbed the table and moved it away.

"Please don't mind my old man."

"Thank you, we didn't intend to start a commotion."

Nuri placed his hand on the hilt causing all the runes to glow blue before he pulled the sword out. Medivh, Shera and the old man watched amazed as the blade came alive.

"I didn't think I'd see someone be able to use the holy relic."

The rabbit look alike turned to him confused.

"You also call it a holy relic?"

"Well the church should have one and they made it well known that it is a holy relic."

"Then why didn't they take over this one as well?"

The boy however shrugged.

"Something about only that one being authentic and the others all being replicas. Matter of fact, I suppose you're missing one, no? There is one more in the centre of the city. It's embedded in a rock in the main plaza. The church called it a fake one, but it made the city popular. Though it's not well known, legend says that the sword is legendary. Many warriors and adventurers that pass by here try to extract the sword. But never succeed."

Medivh showed the way to the group of adventurers, followed by Shera and his grampa. Following the main road they ended up in the centre of the town. The plaza was filled with people and was much more active compared the other areas of Preblica.

Just as Medivh had said, in the centre was a large boulder on top of which the hilt of a raven sword that matched Nuri's could be seen sticking out. At the moment of their arrival, there was a long queue of people trying to remove the sword.

The warrior currently trying pulled with all his might but couldn't make it budge even a tiny little bit. Blessing or not, there were more than a dozen people trying their luck with the sword and many more that looked defeated.

"Please tell me I don't actually have to wait for all of them?"

The captain of the town's guard looked sheepishly at Nuri.

"Sorry, this is beyond me."

"Oh great."

"By the way, do you know what the requirements to be worthy are? And do you know if there is a chance for someone who is not you to pull it out?"

The rabbit exchanged a look with Bell who also shrugged.

"Well, the thing is that we don't know what makes one worthy. However, I do know that once the blade recognizes one as their wielder then it applies to all the other blades. They are six swords but a set of one.

The moment I was made the owner when I touched the first blade was when I became the wielder of all six. So no, no matter who it is since all six are linked together there is no chance of someone being able to use the sword. Not even Bell here can despite him being my brother."

The younger rabbit demonstrated by trying to unsheathe the sword. But no matter how hard he pulled the sword wouldn't come out. The white haired boy stopped after a while as his face was red and was puffing.

"I see."

.

The group window shopped around the various stalls and shops before Medivh invited them at a popular restaurant where they had a delicious lunch all the while the queue of people never seemed to stop growing. The group would take turns and switch the person that had to stand in line.

The first and only person who tried to argue about it was met with a punch by Naaza's level two strength that sent him flying. After that no one in the queue dared to say anything to the group who kept switching with each other. After another full hour, their turn finally came.

"Come on Medivh my boy. Give it a try as well."

It seemed like the old man still hadn't given up and the moment his name was said out loud many began cheering for him. The boy was young and very kind on top of being a symbol of security so he was well liked by the people of the town.

"But we're not here for that."

"It's fine. Give it a try for the people."

Hearing Nuri say that caused him to snap his head in his direction.

"Really?"

"I don't mind."

The brown haired captain nodded and walked onto the boulder before fixing his grip around the hilt and pulling with all his strength. But just like all the others, there was no glow nor any sign of the blade budging. After two more failed attempts the boy simply hopped off and shook his head.

"Thank you, for allowing him a chance."

Nuri was surprised when the old man who had always been aggressive suddenly thanked him.

"Oh, well we can't let him look bad in front of everyone ca-"

"Hahahaha, not even the little captain of the guard can't do it! Of course he can't he's just a wannabe brat!"

Everyone turned to see a boy around nineteen in age, similar to Medivh. While they were the same height, Medivh looked a little less buff compared to the newcomer. He had dark green eyes and short spikey blonde hair. He wore a simple yellow shirt and brown pants, with hands tucked in his pockets.

Seeing him approach made Nuri's eyebrow arch up before he leaned sideways, towards Shera and the old man who upon seeing him also imitated him. Nuri then subtly pointed at the newcomer, who walked up to Medivh to confront him, before asking about him, never letting his eyes wander off the pair.

"What's with him?"

"I'd steer clear from him if I were you and your friends. Unlike you nice folks this guy has been an ass ever since he lost his first sword duel against Medivh."

"Ah, an ugly rivalry born out of jealousy."

Speaking this time was Shera who also didn't look happy with the guy.

"As you say. I really hate that guy. He always thought he was better so when he lost it turned into anger, disbelief and hatred. He'd try anything and everything to get back at my brother. You had to see his face when Medivh became the captain of the guard."

Naaza who had overheard also entered the conversation.

"I suppose that's not all?"

"You're right about that. That little scoundrel has his eyes on my precious little granddaughter. He has been bugging her about marriage for the past two years."

"What a rat bastard the dude is."

Everyone turned to Welf but nodded after a while, all agreeing with the smith's view.

"So what if I can't? I already knew that I wouldn't be able to pull it out because there is only one person that can extract the sword."

"You've become smarter I see. You're right because that person is-"

"Not you. It's him."

Medivh pointed at Nuri, causing everyone to turn to the humanoid bunny who could only scratch the back of his head.

"What? I take it back, you haven't become any smarter. Let me show you that I am the rightful owner of the legendary sword."

It was an interesting sight for the group of seven, who already knew that he would fail, to see him walk up to the boulder, grab the hilt and then spectacularly fail at pulling the sword out. It was nothing short of a public humiliation as he used all his energy only for the sword to not move from its place.

"Good job, you really showed that you are the rightful owner, didn't you?"

As Medivh mocked him, the people around began laughing causing the blonde haired boy's face to turn red in anger.

"Shut up! You say that he can pull it out. No one has managed in a decade why would he be able to pull it out? What makes you certain about that?"

"Because the swords he carries at his waist are the same as the one stuck in the rock."

For the first time everyone noticed how the blades did look identical. It was honestly a wonder to Nuri how no one noticed until now.

"S-so what? That doesn't mean he can extract this one as well."

The old man besides Nuri sighed.

"What an obnoxious little rascal. Would you please show him and shut him up. He's getting on my nerves."

Nuri nodded and made his way to the boulder before grabbing the hilt. The engraved marks glowed blue and the boulder cracked, emanating blue light from its crevices as the entire sheath was lit with its blue runes. The rock shattered revealing the raven sword which he added to the five swords already strapped to his waist, finally completing the set of six swords.

He then grabbed his cloak put it around, he had already showed off the swords more than he would have initially liked and it was now time to head back to Orario. They had spent too much time idling about, it was time to go back to the dungeon.

"Wait!"

Nuri turned to see that the blonde haired boy had unsheathed his weapon and was now pointing it at him making his friends as well as Medivh draw their own weapons.

"Just because you pulled it out doesn't mean that you are best fit to wield that weapon. How about we have a match? If I win you hand them over."

Nuri was neither surprised nor shocked and only arched his brow.

"I never got your name."

"Troy."

"Say Troy. Do you think you're strong now that you have a blessing? You think you can beat anyone?"

"I may have only had a blessing for a few days but-"

Before he could finish the sentence Nuri had vanished from his sight and could now feel a sharp metal edge being held close to his neck. The sudden movement shocked everyone as before anyone knew it, Nuri was already behind Troy.

"Hahaha, you really thought you could beat him? The man saved me from silverbacks from the twelfth floor and has fought against minotaurus'. There is no chance that you beat him."

Nuri let him go before joining Welf's side now was smirking at Troy, who was holding his throat to check if there was blood. Unknown to them though, that only served to enrage Troy more as he was shown to be powerless against Nuri. And who would he direct it to? Medivh of course.

"Whatever! Medivh, I challenge you to a duel!"

"A duel?"

A smug smile grew on the blonde's face.

"That's right and if you lose you'll give me Shera."

"What?!"

The brown haired girl screamed.

"That's right you'll become my wife if I win."

"Now how is that fair? Medivh has no blessing."

Bell tried to mediate but was met with a furious response.

"So what does it matter? I've only had a blessing for a few days and Medivh is a great prodigy that has learnt the way of the sword. So how is it not fair?"

"It's fine Bell, I will fight. I can't let him go on with this. As such if you lose you will have leave me and my family alone forever."

"Fine! You with the black swords, how about you act as referee?"

Nuri and Bell exchanged looks before the long haired rabbit stepped forwards.

"Alright, this duel will be between Troy and Medivh. This duel will continue until one of you can no longer fight or surrenders. Now just to make sure, 'can no longer fight' does not mean to kill someone. Killing is absolutely prohibited. Purposely aiming for vitals is also not allowed.

Since Medivh has no blessing and has a standard issued sword, no falna skills, magic or magic items are allowed. Only standard weaponry also meaning that no magic swords or any weapons with special properties are allowed. If I say stop, you stop no questions asked. Once both participants are ready step up."

The two fighters walked up and faced each other before nodding at Nuri. The rabbit briefly looked at Troy's weapon, a normal looking sword if not for the dark blood red blade. It gave off a bad feeling though Nuri didn't know why. As they were ready Nuri let the match start.

"Begin."

He then backed up until he was back next to Bell and Welf.

.

The two contestants prepared their swords and stared at each other. One maintained a serious face, analysing the opponent, while the other had a creepy smile that couldn't wait to tear apart his opponent. They waited for the match to begin, their hands tightening around the hilt and their feet getting ready to dash forwards.

"Begin."

The match started and both ran forwards and begun their aggressive assault on the other with vicious blows. Though it had only been days, the sudden superior strength of Troy was very noticeable and Medivh was forced back as he could barely block the hits from Troy.

.

However, it only took a few minutes before the adventurers in the plaza noticed something of weird going on. Welf, Nuri and Bell in particular took notice of this and focused their attention on the red sword that glowed faintly whenever it would scratch Medivh. The two rabbits exchanged looks before Bell turned to Welf.

"Isn't that sword weird?"

"Yea, it is. What do you think of the sword?"

"Looks like an average sword doesn't it?"

"Yep, pretty much third rate. But it gives a weird feeling doesn't it?"

"A very bad one. Hephaestus-sama only briefly mentioned it, but could it be a cursed weapon?"

The smith was stunned to hear that the sword might be a cursed weapon but upon focusing his gaze he could make out specific details that identified it as a cursed weapon. The production and selling of those weapons had been banned by both Hephaestus and Goibniu Familias as well Orario at a later date due to how dangerous they were. Even owning and using despite being imported from outside had been made prohibited.

"Nuri-"

"I got it."

The white rabbit stepped forwards, towards the two fighters who were slashing at each other with everything they had.

"Stop!"

Medivh stepped back, but that didn't mean the other party did the same. After a momentary pause Troy launched forwards with his sword aimed at the eyes of Medivh. It seemed like he had planned to use this to kill him, but was not expecting for someone to suddenly interrupt the match.

Shera screamed at the young captain to watch out as the blade was inching closer. Blood however was never drawn. Nuri grabbed one of the ethereal knives he kept with him and launched it straight at the red sword's handle. As it impacted, the sudden powerful hit caused Troy to drop the weapon, while the knife that had rebounded towards the sky stopped mid-air.

Few eyes were drawn towards the mysterious looking knife before it flew back to Nuri's hands as it was hard to notice due to the speed at which it flew. He hid it behind his hand which retreated back into his cloak. However, the few to notice the knife were Medivh, Troy, Shera, the old man as well as Nuri's friends, none of whom had seen his knife before, to the exception of Bell.

"I said to stop, pretending to not hear and continuing was dangerous and would have not gained you a victory."

Troy however shrugged.

"It's his fault he just turned while I was attacking. I can't be blamed if I had accidentally skewered his eye, can I?"

Bell and Shera were the most shocked by his attitude and it made them livid as he just disregarded Medivh's safety like that.

"Either way killing goes against the rules and your action were unnecessary. Besides, this match is over, Medivh is the winner."

Everyone in the town was surprised but began cheering for Medivh, no one there liked Troy in the first place so they had nothing to lose from going along with Nuri's decision. Of course, the blonde man wasn't going to agree.

"What?! How is that possible I was clearly winning!"

Imitating Troy the white haired bunny shrugged.

"It's your fault for not listening to the rules. I can't be blamed if I brake the rules of the duel, can I?"

The crowd gathered around began laughing as Nuri mocked the blonde haired boy. Troy began fuming as everyone he could see was laughing at him.

"And how did I break the rules?"

"First of all you went for a vital that would have killed if I hadn't stopped you. You pretended not to hear and tried to attack after I had stopped the duel. And most importantly you cheated right from the very beginning."

Everyone's eyes were now completely focused on the blonde boy.

"Cheating? How did I cheat?"

"I clearly said no weapons with special abilities or effects. What you wield is a cursed weapon. Not only is it against the rules but it is a dangerous weapon to both opponent and to wielder. So much so that it is banned and the making, selling and owning of such weapons in many nations and cities is prohibited. As Preblica is in theory within Orario's territory, place in which cursed weapons are banned, your weapon is illegal."

Panic was now evident on Troy's face.

"But we follow Rakia's laws here."

"Rakia, despite how reckless it is with its usage of magic swords, still decided to ban cursed swords as it deemed them too dangerous. And don't think about saying you didn't know what it was. As an illegal weapon those making them and selling them would do so very carefully.

The person who sold it to you will likely have explained very well what it does in order to convince you to offer something and you must have given him that something in return. After all there is no way you could afford to pay for that weapon."

Troy made no rebuttal instead he went for the sword before immediately charging towards Nuri. The first to act upon this however was Welf who with his superior strength and large blade he swatted away Troy. Whilst both being level ones, Welf had years of experience and his falna was nearing the peak of its strength. So it was no surprise that the blonde boy was knocked out within three moves.

.

"Thank you for your help."

"Don't worry about it. We just happened to be in the right place, at the right time. What about Troy?"

Medivh turned around to see the guards taking him away.

"He will be judged by our elders but I think I already know what's going to happen. Let's just say that things are not looking bright for him."

"Then this is goodbye."

The group of adventurers bid farewell to Medivh, Shera and the old man. It was a short and unexpected adventure, an adventure that would be one of many that the bunnies would later face in the future.

.

It was late in the afternoon by the time the group had managed to make their way back to Orario. The group passed through the gate and stopped not too far past the gate to discuss their plans. Nuri and Bell had to fulfil their promise meaning that they'd have to go to the Hostess. However, that didn't mean that they had to go alone.

"Welf, Naaza? How about it? Do you want to come with us to the Hostess later for dinner?"

Welf gave his thumbs up.

"Sure man."

Naaza also agreed with a smile and nodded, her tail wagging gently.

"I would like that, I just need to tell Miach-sama. Since we have to wait for a few hours and the Blue Pharmacy is on the way, how about coming with me and resting at the pharmacy?"

"That sounds good. We can say hi to Miach and also restock on potions since we'll need them to go back into the dungeon. What about you Welf?"

"Ye, I also spent them all the last time we met that silverback."

"Great, let's go then."

.

As they entered the Blue Pharmacy, the group was greeted by Miach and to their surprise Hestia as well. Other than Naaza, the three men of the group had never seen the Goddess, but Nuri and Bell had heard of her from Hephaestus' rants.

"Welcome back Naaza. And we have guests, it's nice to see you three."

"Good evening Miach-sama."

The rabbits plus smith bowed to Miach. Hestia meanwhile stayed silent as she didn't want to interrupt, she also felt she might get in the way and didn't want that for her fellow blue haired God.

"And of course to you too Hestia-sama."

The little Goddess was startled when the two rabbits had turned to her but greeted them with a smile.

"Me, Bell, Welf and Naaza were going to go and have dinner at the Hostess, I hope that wouldn't be a problem."

The God shook his head with a smile.

"It's no trouble and we're past closing hours anyways, there is no reason to keep her from going."

That put a smile on the two rabbits when it occurred to them that he said that the store was now closed.

"Then what about you Miach-sama? If the store is closed how about coming with us as well?"

The God smiled but politely refused.

"We have little money to spare and I couldn't ask you to pay. Besides, Hestia here needs someone to keep her company."

"There is no need to worry about money Miach-sama. We invited you so of course we'll pay for you. Please let us worry about the payment. And Hestia is also welcome to come along."

"Eh? Is that fine? I really wouldn't be able to repay you. My funds are probably worse than those of Miach."

The Goddess was awkwardly playing with her thumbs. It must have been embarrassing for the Goddess to reveal how poor her situation was.

"As we said, there is no need to worry."

"T-then I guess I'll accept your offer. Thank you."

The rabbits offered their usual smile before helping Miach close down the pharmacy before leaving all together for the Hostess of Fertility. While Naaza walked at the front with the rest of the adventurers in the group, Miach hang at the back of the group with a nervous Hestia.

"You know them?"

The question posed by Hestia was quite obviously referring to the three men in front of them.

"Yes. The red haired smith is a member of Hephaestus' Familia, I don't know him that well. But the rabbits I do know a bit about them. They're strong adventurers despite being level ones and more importantly, they are good people. They are humble and honest, if you wish to know the definition of noblesse then look to them."

Hestia knew the two were in a Familia or they wouldn't be level ones. But she just hoped, perhaps they were looking to move to a new Familia. But that hope was shot down by Miach, as much as he felt bad, there was no point making Hestia hope.

"Sorry Hestia but I wouldn't keep hoping. The two keep it a secret, but they are no doubt part of one of the biggest Familias here in Orario."

That really made the Goddess pout while Miach smiled awkwardly at her misfortune.

.

In the end, Naaza was glad she came along so she could keep an eye on the two young rabbits and make sure they didn't go along with Welf's idiocy. As good of a guy as he was, he wasn't a good influence on the two. Not only that but the Hostess' staff were all females and she didn't like the idea of leaving them alone to be seduced by the sly waitresses.

At the same time, it was hard to imagine them getting seduced, no matter how bashful they got. More importantly they weren't the type of guys to just randomly jump on the first invitation they got. That much was obvious despite the short time they've been together.

A thought shared by Nuri who fought Bell was impossible to seduce, due to his inability to understand a girl's feelings. Even if they were to be as direct as to say 'I love you' he would take it for them teasing him or joking around.

The irony of it all laid in the fact that Nuri was a hypocrite without realising so. The older bunny was no better if not worse. It was honestly vexing for their old man when he found out. Nuri had an incredible ability to read people. He'd be able to perfectly notice the affection one felt for another. But it just so happened to be because he wasn't in their position for when it was directed at him the roles would be reversed.

"Why keep them in that sack?"

Welf asked curiously as Nuri had packed his black swords in a sack that Miach had provided.

"Didn't you notice all the stares I got when we came back in the city before when I was hiding the swords under the cloak? Besides as I said before I'm trying to keep them a secret and my God told me not to use it in public."

"I see. I suppose this works out then."

Nuri and Bell were glad that neither Naaza nor Welf questioned their home and Familia any further than they wished to divulge, it showed that they were trustworthy. It would be huge shocker for Welf in particular if they were to discover that they were part of the Astraea Familia.

When they arrived, the Hostess of Fertility was already packed full of people, mostly adventurers relaxing after a day of hard work in the dungeon. As they walked in, they were immediately spotted by two waitresses, one was Syr the other one was Chloe, for two different yet quite similar reason. But the one to go up to them was Syr while Chloe observed from a distance.

"You really came, for a moment I thought you had forgotten."

Bell and Nuri greeted Syr with a smile in return. Naaza on the other hand was focused on the girls in the establishment. It didn't help that she noticed quite a few predatory looks from a number of different girls, including the staff's black haired cat.

"I see you brought your friends."

The two Gods, Naaza and Welf presented themselves to the grey haired waitress.

"Please follow me, unfortunately as you can see we are pretty full today and the tables are all full or booked as such we only have those places at the counter left for you. Moreover, since we are very busy it will take a while to serve your order. I hope that is fine with you."

Getting a nod of approval from everyone in the group, Syr proceeded to show them over to the small table.

"Mama, these are guests of mine, so treat them well!"

The large dwarven woman turned to them and laughed heartily.

"So Syr caught a couple of new adventurers today, didn't she?"

"Well she caught me and Bell that's for sure. We just brought our friends along."

"Well that's good. More customers for me. But didn't I see you before?"

The dwarf wondered out loud. When Welf confirmed her guess, Naaza began looking at him with a suspicious look, luckily for him Nuri intervened before she could kill him.

"We were here with Welf to celebrate his contract with us."

"I see. Well, I'm Mia Grand, the owner, but people call me Mia or Mama Mia. Anyways, I'll get you served so you enjoy yourselves."

While a little expensive, the food was definitely worth its values. They were quite literally delicacies that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. The two rabbits checked that the mugs were not filled with alcohol out of safety.

The two had gotten drunk once due to their grampa's idiotic pranks and it was a very embarrassing moment to say the least. Mostly for Nuri who had expressed his extensive love for a certain aunt of his, expressing how beautiful and lovely she was. As for how that event ended up, that is for another time. What did happen however was Nuri not coming out of his room for days and their grampa getting the beating of his life.

But going back to the present, throughout their time at the Hostess Syr had come by to chat with the two bunnies every so often, but had to keep it short due to the busy hour. Then an unexpected group of people showed up at the Hostess.

"The big party reservation has arrived!"

Nuri and Bell happened to glance at the entrance just Astraea, Alise, Kaguya and Lyra entered the pub. Soon behind them was the rest of the Familia followed by Loki and Ganesha Familias. As they passed by Lyra winked at them before giggling and returning by Astraea.

"You shouldn't admire them."

The ominous tone and the hostile glare was very noticeable and caused a lot of confusion for the two rabbits.

"Forgive her. Her hostility towards high levelled adventurers is due to … you know."

Miach tapped Naaza's silver arm which made the white haired adventurers understand why she disliked them so much.

"They are selfish and arrogant. Hateful beings that are full of the strength that the Gods let them borrow."

As she was slowly reminded of memories that she'd rather have forgotten, her grip on the silver arm began becoming tighter.

"I can assure you that the Astraea Familia isn't like that. But perhaps you should go Miach-sama."

Both Miach and Naaza were surprised by the bunnies' consideration but quickly showed their appreciation with a pair of soft smiles.

"Yes. I suppose perhaps we should head back to the Blue Pharmacy. Thank you two for the meal. I'll make sure to repay you in the future."

"There's no need to. It's just dinner. Take care."

Naaza, Miach and Hestia bid goodbye to the three boys before leaving the Hostess.

.

"Oh, Miach-sama and Hestia-sama just left with the chienthrope girl."

The pink haired girl informed her Goddess who turned her attention to the group of adventurers that now consisted of her two favourite rabbits and Hephaestus' smith. Astraea was going to get up and approach them when a cheery red haired girl beat her to it and jumped on the back of an unsuspecting Nuri.

"Wah! What? Eh? Alise?"

"Hehehe, hey Nuri. Why don't you join us at our table?"

"Surely we can't Alise."

The girl however didn't relent as always.

"Come on, it's fine."

"Wah! Wait Ali- slow down!"

Without being able to resist her level six strength Nuri was dragged over to the table where not only the Astraea Familia was but the Loki and Ganesha Familia as well. Weirdly though the captain and vice captain of the police force of Orario were nowhere to be seen. Bell too followed at that point as well as an incredibly stupefied and jealous Welf.

Sitting Nuri next to Astraea, Alise sat back down at her place on the other side of her Goddess. Meanwhile, Bell sat on the other side of his brother with Welf following and much to his dismay he was sat between Bell and a very much glaring werewolf.

"So how did things go? Hephaestus informed me about your swords."

Astraea had leaned in as the mood was restored and people were back to eating and laughing. Bete was too distracted glaring at Welf to realize who the bunnies were and Ais much too distracted by thoughts about the dungeon, food and memories of the bunnies to realise that those same bunnies were sat at her table.

"Good. We found all six and though we encountered a few problems we managed to deal with it all. However, there was one thing that worried me."

"Do tell."

"One of the problems we encountered was a guy who wielded this weapon here."

Nuri had confiscated the weapon back at the town and had brought it back to Orario to give it to either Astraea or Hephaestus. Opening the sack inside which he kept the divine blades, he showed her the red blade.

"A cursed weapon?"

"Yes, the man didn't know who sold it to him. Besides, leaving it to the town's guard seemed too dangerous so I decided to bring it to you or Hephaestus, I thought you'd know what to do with it."

The Goddess of justice took a moment to think and nodded.

"I see. Well, keep it for now. We'll talk with Hephaestus and Goibniu at a later date to deal with it."

That's when Bete finally realized that the white haired bunny next to Welf was the adventurer who had been attacked by the minotaur that had escaped from his Familia.

"Ah, it's you!"

Loki, Riveria and Finn were quick to warn Bete not to pick a fight. After all Bete was never a person who liked others. If he searched for someone it was almost always to go beat them up. Yet he showed neither a scowl or the usual mocking grin.

Soon after the very visibly drunk wolf began praising the two and slowly recounted how he had met the pair of bunnies and their impressive fight against the minotaurus'. Everyone was definitely amazed to learn about the stand they put.

All except for an orange haired elf. It wasn't to say she wasn't amazed but at the same time it made her question her own ability. How could they be so strong despite being a lower level than her.

"Oh my."

The sudden surprise in Astraea caused Nuri to turn to her with a raised eyebrow. The Goddess however only responded by pointing behind him. Turning he spotted Shakti, who gave him a pitying look before she raised her hand and with her thump pointed to someone who was standing a little further behind her. Leaning back a little Nuri quickly paled as he was met with a very angry looking Ardee.

"Umm, hehehe, hi Ardee."

The others, unaware that the two adventurers knew each other, silently watched from their seats. Though it was clear that Ardee was upset, everyone around the table was simply curious as to the nature of the relationship between the two.

"You!"

"Me?"

"You get attacked by a silverback in your first week of adventuring, then I hear that you challenged three minotaurus'!"

Nuri shrank as she shouted and at every word she spoke, she took a step forwards.

"Umm, well it … was an accident really."

Ardee however only frowned, not impressed with his answer.

"You charged forwards instead of running didn't you?"

"…"

The bunny looked away, not being able to meet her eyes out of shame. Seeing the unsaid answer Ardee began fuming before flinging herself onto the rabbit boy. Nuri squeaked as the blue haired girl began pulling at his cheeks whilst reprimanding his foolishness.

Bell and Bete were going to come to his aid and defend his actions when they saw Ardee go crazy. The two stared for a brief moment before sagely deciding that interjecting perhaps wouldn't be the best of ideas and simply sat back down, offering a silent prayer to the long haired bunny.

"How many times do I have to tell you?!"

The onslaught kept on going as Nuri's cries for help went unanswered. The people around to busy laughing and giggling, though people like Riveria could understand very well Ardee was mad. She had to admit that the bunny seemed to be even more reckless than Ais was in her early years.

Their little interaction was cut short by Bete when he suddenly patted Nuri's shoulder. The boy took his eyes off of the blue haired girl and turned to the werewolf with a raised eyebrow. Bete eyes however looked elsewhere.

Following his gaze, as did Ardee and the others at the table, they set their eyes on gruff man a little shorter than Nuri and a bit taller than Bell. The man wore a simple beige shirt with short sleeves that looked to have been torn off. Dark brown pants and boots with a belt made out of a rope. A standard sword at his side. All in all, your typical ruffian.

With his grubby hands, the man attempted to grab the bag Nuri had forgotten by the counter. The man however was interrupted by the terrifying glare of the level five werewolf. The man must have felt it because he spun around looking around for the source before landing his eyes on Bete.

"Oi back off."

The rough looking man, however, didn't shrink even before a level five, though it could probably be attributed to the fact that the man was clearly drunk.

"How about you piss off, ay? It's none of your business."

Bete growled loudly enough to hint to everyone in the room that his blood was boiling as his anger was threatening to take over. But it was the eldest bunny to stop it from happening as he walked forwards towards the man, with a smile.

Ardee and the other members of the Loki, Ganesha and Astraea Familia however, looked confused. Glancing at Nuri then at the empty space below Ardee then back at his back. None of them had noticed the young rabbit move. Particularly interested by this were Riveria, Finn, Alise and Kaguya.

"While it is true that it isn't his business, it certainly is mine. Would you kindly mind taking your hands off my bag?"

"The bag's yours? Then how about you let me take a look and see if there is anything I like? I'll leave anything else."

Nuri smiled brightly, much too brightly for the situation. So much it confused the staff and the members of the three Familias behind him. Bell though, knew that smile all too well and it terrified him. He knew it meant trouble. Trouble for whoever was on the receiving end. Astraea then noticed the wide eyed expression on Bell's face as he shrunk back.

"Bell? What's the matter?"

"Ah Astraea-sama, no it's just … umm, whenever onii-sama smiles like that, your best option is to run."

The Goddess looked back at the scene wondering what to expect from the long white haired boy, just as he answered.

"Why of course. If you prove worthy and lift the black sword, it is yours."

"!"

Everyone in the pub looked at Nuri with shocked eyes. Ardee got up to stop him just for Bell to hold her back from interrupting.

"Though there is nothing else other than the six black swords in the bag. As for the red blade unfortunately that's a cursed weapon that is to be taken over to Hephaestus or Goibniu, so you can't take that."

The man however grinned madly.

"That's plenty."

With a greedy smile, the man reached inside and grabbed the hilt of the black sword. The runes of the raven blade, however, didn't shine nor glow at the presence of the wielder. So as the man began to pull and lift, the sword didn't budge. The man bent his knees and grabbed the hilt with both hands. His muscles tensed and bulged as he put in all his strength, only for the sword to remain unmoving.

It goes without saying that anyone in the pub would have been left confused, to the exception of Bell and the Goddess of justice, who giggled with hand covering her lips. It was apparent to anyone that the thug was quickly getting angrier as he made a fool of himself in front of everyone in the pub.

"You runt! What have you done?!"

"Whatever might you mean?"

The blinding smile on Nuri's face as he answered set off the rough looking man.

"I'm from the Soma Familia you know?! I'll cut you up!"

The rabbit however looked unaffected by the threat, instead turning his attention to Mia.

"Sorry about that. I'll make sure to take it outside."

"Don't sweat it kid. As long as you don't destroy anything you can fight him here."

The member of the Soma Familia didn't wait. He took the moment of distraction to attack and grabbed the cursed weapon before rushing towards Nuri. Seeing him approach Nuri let out a sigh, many of whom thought out of frustration, but it was easy to notice that was not the case as he was rapidly enveloped in a white aura. Meanwhile, with a defiant shout, the man swung the blade again and again, but was surprised as he missed every time. The slashes cut through air, sailing past Nuri's body harmlessly.

"Shouldn't we help him?"

Alise asked the younger of the two siblings with a raised brow, but the boy only shook his head.

"No need. The attacks aren't connecting anyways, so just let him. I'm sure onii-sama has a reason for doing things like this."

"If I may Cranel-san, what is that mist covering his body?"

Bell turned to the blonde elf of the Astraea Familia to answer but was stopped by the two's patron Goddess.

"Now, now Ryuu. It's not appropriate to ask about someone else's skill, isn't it now?"

"M-my apologies Astraea-sama."

The elf was quick to back down, but the defensive approach taken by the Goddess wasn't missed by her fellow Gods nor the leaders of the other Familias.

"HAAA!"

But their attention was turned back to the thug, deciding to brush off Astraea's behaviour for now. For ten minutes straight the man lashed out with pure rage driving each and every strike of his. So focused was the man, that he did not even realize that he was wedging himself into a corner. So focused that he did not realize that his life was draining, nor that his fatigue was building up quicker than ever before.

"Haa … Haa … Haa."

Nuri watched with a blank stare as his opponent was hunched down with his hands on his knees. His breath was short and ragged, panting as he tried to fill his lungs with the air that he very much needed. It was whilst looking down at the flooring, that he first noticed blood. The red fluid flowed down the side of his face, dripping down to the wooden surface with a small and quiet splash. Bringing his hands to his face, he now recognised that the blood belonged to him. Trickling down his face the man turned to look at the rabbit standing before him. Nuri's lips then curved up into a cold smile, one of his index finger tapping on the left extremity of his lip.

"Ah, it seems I forgot to mention one crucial detail. How careless of me. You see, the cursed weapon apparently increases one's strength in exchange for vitality. That meaning the more you use it, the closer you step to death."
