After touching down and finding a missile launcher in an excavation site I realized who the ancients of this land were, Chozo. They had set up this place and they hid it from Lyric but why? I know the snake made them sick accidentally, but still I wonder if Lyric didn't cause the sickness but something else did, but what? As I made my way through this excavation site I fought many enemies, they were in a way corrupted somehow by a strange substance I have dubbed Endergon.
Then I found myself an abandoned research ability that had a portal that lead me 1000 years ago to a weapon facility, then I got the idea that I could restore my abilities using the weapons from this facility, hence how I acquired my morph ball bomb and charge beam, turns out I could use the portal to go Back to Future (no pun intended) Heading back to the excavation site I came across Shadow, as he was in my way we engaged in an epic combat. Though Shadow the Hedgehog did have power I managed to come out on top. Then what he dropped next turned out to be a Varia Suit, it was clear he wanted me the prove myself in a test of strength, if I won the battle and Shadow gave me the Varia suit he seemed to think I was a worthy adversary, acquiring the Varia Suit I set out to figure out a mystery that began 1000 years ago: How did Endergon come to poison these Chozo?
