Chapter Twelve – The King of Stealth
Sukko successfully pulled significant information from Tails and Knuckles about the prison and with a lot of guesstimates, managed to put a map together. They were both gobsmacked at the incredible level of Magical skill involved, and just stared. Unfortunately, this made the Sorcerer very uncomfortable, and he promptly vanished. Sonic noticed, grilling his friends for it. They apologised, but it made the Sorcerer super illusive, as he no longer wanted to talk to anyone anymore. Sukko sighed, that wasn't a problem, he'd got what he needed from them. There were more important people in his life, who now deserved his attention.
Suddenly he appeared between them, only for the pair of them to jump on him. He giggled.
"Boo!" He smiled, as Everglade and Arthur landed on top of him. They completely forgot Magical rank as the three of them just hugged each other. Sukko pulled them in close. The missed them terrible, his own kind, but he'd been too unwell to face talking to them. He managed to completely block out the attempted corruption in order to fight the Order of Elden, but when he went Super, and the trauma of that triggering the rebellion, the unpleasant memories of the corruption came flooding back, and took him by storm, making him very ill. Now, on the road to recovery, he was more willing to see them again. He sniffed, closing his eyes. He cried.
"Forgive me." He whimpered, still incredibly guilty for walking out on them. But despite that, and how much he'd changed. His new tattoo, outfit, and super reserved demeanour, they were just incredibly glad that he was here with them. But Everglade grabbed his head, the Skunk wiping away his tears. He could still see the suffering in Sorcerer's eyes. He smiled.
"Sukko, you been to hell and back, and no, you didn't abandon us. We knew you'd come home when you were ready, and yes, this is home. The Princess had granted you your visa. You let us know you were still around, in your own unique way." He smiled, indicating a finger snap with his hand, letting the Sorcerer go. Sukko obliged, lifting up his hand and snapping his fingers, and without even his eyes glowing, the singular Blue Flame appeared on the end of his thumb. He smiled, but Everglade just stared. "How do you do that?" He gasped. "I have been trying to work it out for months." He heaved. "Plus, when were you going to tell us that you had Pyrokinesis, with the fabled Blue Flames, none the less." He added, grilling the Sorcerer. He just shrugged. He smiled, somewhat tired, and very reserved.
"Where was the fun in that." He added, to the massive grins of his friends. Then he heaved. "As to this." He added, indicating the the blue flame on end of his thumb, which he blew out. "I have no idea. I have been able to do that since I was a very small child. It was one of the very first casts I learned, or more accurately, stumbled upon." He admitted, and it was only now that Everglade properly understood just how self-taught Sukko's Magic really was, which made even more amazing that he could do, what he could do. But even in this very reserved state, Everglade could still read the Sorcerer, and knew he wasn't revealing the whole truth to everyone. He grabbed the Hedgehog again. He growled.
"Sukko, what are you planning back on Mobius?" He asked, grilling him deeply. Sukko gulped, but then heaved. There was a long pause. He nodded, telling them what he was planning, straight into their minds, down the Telepathic link. He heaved.
{But Sonikku's not coming with me.} He spat. {Despite what he might think. Can you please look after him for me?} He asked, of which Everglade nodded, but Arthur squealed, also inside their minds. He panicked.
{Hey.} He spat. {Your coming back.} He cried. But Sukko sighed. Arthur, still only a Wolf pup was just a little to young to understand the true extents of what was happening here. The Sorcerer sighed, thinking of how best to explain it. He sighed.
{Arthur. I have every intension of coming home. But we have to make preparations just incase I don't. That is what it means to be a Hero. Sonikku taught me that.} He smiled as he looked over to his brother, now laughing and joking with his own friends, Tails and Knuckles. He sighed, they weren't going to happy with him either, with what he was planning. Suddenly, having thought of something, he rounded on Everglade. He frowned.
{I need your help.} he asked. The Skunk smiled.
"Name it." He hissed, quietly. The Sorcerer then explained but Everglade heaved. "I can help you with that, but I don't think you should do it on your own." He added. But Sukko growled.
{But Sonikku's not coming.} He hissed again, but then Arthur piped up, somewhat excited.
{Why don't you ask the Princess. Your one of us now. She should help you, if you tell her the truth.} He smiled. Both Everglade and Sukko looked at him. Everglade smiled.
"He's got a point there." He smiled, but Sukko looked worried. Everglade beamed. "Go talk to her. Don't worry about the cast, I'll sort it out for you, before you leave, and as for your brother, we've got him." He grinned, of which Arthur nodded. Sukko sniffed, smiling deeply, water in his eyes. He'd never had real friends like this, who, not only knew about the Magic, but embraced it, just like him. Here, in the Sol Empire, he could truly be himself. He hugged them deeply. He beamed.
{Thank you.} He heaved, of which Everglade just shooed him away, telling him to get out of here, and then they promptly vanished. As did Sukko, behind his Cloak of Invisibility. He felt so at home here. He'd been hiding behind the cloak for months but now it knew it was time to take it off. He walked though the Palace until he found Blaze absent-mindedly staring out of the window, near the main front doors. She was just taking a break from some admin work but it was obvious that she was deep in thought as Sukko could see his brother in her eyeline, outside. He smiled, diving deep into her minds.
{A penny for your thoughts, Princess.} He giggled, but Blaze didn't move a muscle, she just smiled, but then she growled.
"I see your still sneaking around my Palace." She hissed unimpressed, under her breath, to the completely invisible Hedgehog, looking vaguely in his direction. Then she looked back at Sonic. She sighed. "You not taking him with you, are you?" She asked, quietly. Blaze knew just how much Sukko had fought to get Sonic here, there was no way, he'd allow him to go back. The Sorcerer smirked.
{Your good, Princess.} He praised. {No, I'm not.} He admitted. Blaze smiled, suspecting exactly where this was going. He was here, because he needed her help. She heaved, agreeing. He'd saved her kingdom, it was the least she could do.
She smiled.
"So what's the plan?"
Coincidentally, night and day lined up exactly between Mobius and the Sol Empire, and therefore dusk as the Palace, was also dusk at the prison. So as darkness fell, they gathered at the very edge of the Palace where the visitors had landed. Sonic, Sukko, Blaze, Tails, Knuckles, Arthur and Everglade. The plan was for Sukko to use his Magic on Tails' now dead inter-dimensional portal generator, and create the equivalent power of that of seven Chaos Emeralds. He could do it, but it would take incredible delicacy. He had to activate the device, and generate the portal, but without triggering the Super Form in himself. Which in turn would trigger the intense drain and trauma causing another rebellion.
Sukko really didn't fancy that. He'd just recovered for from one rebellion, another one so soon would break him. Plus, he smirked, he was running out of space for another enormous tattoo. He was meant to open the portal and keep it open for himself, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Blaze. But the Sorcerer had no intension of doing that. He was going to open the portal but for himself only. Blaze would transport there via her own means, the Sol Emeralds and Arthur and Everglade would used their Magic to forcibly keep the Sonic here in the Sol Empire. As for Tails and Knuckles, Sukko suspected they'd be too shocked by the level of Magic to react fast enough. He was right.
Sukko concentrated, the inter-dimensional portal generator in his hand, his eyes glowing blue and the bright blue luminescent vapour-like hue began to swirl. Suddenly, the Sorcerer turned the Magic on himself and the Illusionary lightning began to fall. Everyone jumped, but Sonic was transfixed as he watched his incredible brother go vivid pale blue, with light pouring from his heart, and his long black coat, now a stunning shimmering silver, his eyes a deep rich blue. But Sukko roaring hard, he stopped the Magic short from going full-on Super and then immediately poured it into the the inter-dimensional portal generator. It whirled into life creating a purple and white portal. It was enough power, just.
But as Sukko suspected, as soon as the portal opened between Mobius and the Sol Empire, it immediately began closing, very rapidly. So fast, in fact, that Sukko, grabbing the inter-dimensional portal generator, wrapping it around his wrist, to take with him, was forced to run for it. So did someone else, but then he screamed, realising he was being held back. He was fast enough to make the portal, but someone was stopping him. Well, some two. Arthur and Everglade, each glowing green and yellow respectively, had thrown their Magic at Sonic to stop him. They gave everything they had but as soon as he activated his Super-Speed, they'd got nothing against his power, and he easily broke free. But by the time he did, it was too late and the portal, and thus his brother was gone. This friends hadn't helped, they had just stood there numb and gobsmacked.
Suddenly, Sonic turned to Blaze, desperate for help but again he was too late, as the tornado of flames announced she'd already left. Suddenly, he rounded on Everglade.
"What did you do that for?" He squealed, not quite believing what had just happened, but the Skunk just got very defensive. He growled.
"This was all your brother." He snapped. "You have no idea how hard he fought to bring you here, there was no way he was going to allow you back." He snarled. "He just wanted to keep you safe." He added. But Sonic just screamed and cried, in frustration, then suddenly he fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. He was trapped again, and his brother, gone.
But Sukko wasn't gone, but he was hating himself as he landed back on Mobius. His brother's cries were fading away, as the Psychic Link was becoming stretched. It was pitch dark as he looked around, and soon Blaze, in her roaring fiery tornado landed next to him. She too looked somber, also having heard the Blue Blur's cries, but they had a job to do.
Sukko had landed them, near Empire City, near the quiet intercity motorway, the lights of which would mast Blaze's entrance. It worked. He knew Empire City quite well. He been to many a medical conference here, as a Doctor, and had gotten the chance to explore. He heaved. It was weird being back on Mobius, but he now hated the place, with a vengeance. He was extremely keen to go in, get the job done, and get out, as soon as possible. As Blaze looked around, and she immediately agreed. There was a huge sense of foreboding that she didn't like at all. They were not far from Westnorth Prison but Sukko had no intention of running, or even flying there, as he offered Blaze his hand. She smirked, taking it, as they both immediately exploded into hundred of bright white Orbs, teleporting straight there unhindered.
What Wizards were good at and Sorcerer's, not so much, as casting at distance. Sukko had in the past combined his Telepathy and Telekinesis to cast at a little distance, but at only extended to simply unlocking doors, and that was only within the confines of a singular large building. But what he was planning here, required significantly more complexity that that. That was what he asked Everglade for. To teach him how. Wizards could used a technique to cast their Magic, tens of miles away, and still kept the control and Sukko wanted to learn. But they were unsure if a Wizard technique would work for a Sorcerer. Up to now, the Magic didn't really cross over. Each had their own paths in Chaos Sorcery, but Everglade was willing to try. Researching the technique, he then converted it to how he believed would work for a Sorcerer.
Just before the call to leave at dusk, Everglade taught the new technique to Sukko, and using the Sorcerer's Telepathy, he allowed him into his mind. They went through the new technique in detail, which was quite challenging, because Sukko was struggling to understand. But as Everglade realised, he'd never had any formal training in Magic. Finally, it clicked, and he was now ready to practice. Arthur had taken a horse, and ridden to the far end of the town, next the Palace, several miles away. He was waiting for Sukko to cast.
The idea was for Sukko to do a very straightforward cast for him, like snapping a blue flame but instead of it landing on his thumb, it was land on Arthur's open palm, several miles away. The Sorcerer heaved, a big ask, but if he Mastered this, then he could do what he planned on Mobius. With encouragement from Everglade, he held up his hand, and positioned it ready to snap. He concentrated, his eyes glowed deep vivid blue. Then at the peak of the power, he snapped his finger, creating an almighty bang. Then nothing. They looked at each other, Sukko panting heavily, but then Sorcerer heard it, down the Telepathic link. Arthur squealed.
{Master Sukko, you did it. I have the blue fire in my palm.} He hollowed. Sukko grinned, absolutely delighted, passing the message on to Everglade, who was pleased. It worked, but then there was outright panic from Arthur. He screamed. {Help. Master Sukko. I can't put it out.} He cried, to which Sukko immediately grabbed Everglade and Orbed straight to Arthur's location. The Wolf pup was indeed struggling. Even though the fire was in his hands, it was still Sukko's cast, and ultimately he had the control, and therefore only the Sorcerer could put out the flames. None of them had realised this, as Sukko apologised, healing Arthur's burns. But all was forgiven, as the new technique had worked, and Everglade showed him to transfer it between other cast the Sorcerer knew. Now he was ready.
But, as Everglade pointed out, if Sukko was going to cast from outside the prison, then who was going to go in and guide his brother's friends to safety, as the Sorcerer unlocked everything. That was what Blaze was there for, as she agreed to do all the running around. She also agreed that outside of the prison was the safest place for Sukko.
As the Orbed to Westnorth Prison, they handed on the roof, and immediately had to duck for cover, from the search lights. The prison was heavily fortified, with barbed wire and guards everywhere. With it being a prison for Chaos Creatures, it was also Chaos reenforced to some degree, but as Sukko quickly learned, with enough Magical power, he could punch through it. As they ducked on the roof, Blaze noticed with there superb Cat night vision a dark grey door on the roof, leading down to the complex. Time to go.
She turned and faced the Sorcerer, who with a single snap of a finger, unlocked the door. He smirked, but Blaze just hugged him. They embraced for the first time, the Sorcerer absolutely stunned. She let him go, and nodded.
"Good luck." She whispered, and Sukko heaved back.
"Same to you." He smiled, and with that he ran and disappeared over the edge of the building, disappearing behind his Cloak of Invisibility in the process, as she ran for the door. She burst through it into further darkness, and down some stairs, where she found another grey door, and this time, she heard voices behind it. She quietly waited, until they had passed and then she silently slipped though the door. She came out into a corridor. Painted entirely white, the walls and ceiling, but the floor had a beautiful terracotta tile pattern, of which her shoes clinked on. She sighed, not ideal, but down the corridor, there were barred windows on one side and the prison cells on the other. She smiled as she hide in an alcove out of view. She heaved.
"Sukko, I'm in." She hissed under her breath, desperately hoping the Sorcerer could hear her, wherever he was outside. There was a long pause, where Blaze almost panicked, when finally he answered. Sukko heaved, deep inside her mind.
{Hi, sorry. Got delayed outside. It was more difficult that anticipated to find somewhere suitable to cast outside. It looks like a garage, an outbuilding some distance away from the prison complex. I'm next to some vehicles. The place is heavily locked and sealed. I should be safe in here.} He reported, to the relief of Blaze. Sukko couldn't cast anywhere where he could be seen, as he couldn't hide what he was about to do behind his Cloak of Invisibility. She then smirked, again barely speaking under her breath.
"Can you see me?" She asked. Sukko in the garage, sat on the floor and cross his legs. His rest his arms on his thighs and bent his elbows slightly. Then concentrating hard, he turned his hand up, the palms showing, and clawed his fingers. His eyes glowed a deep vivid blue as two small balls of bright blue light in the centre of each palm. The streams of Magic exploded from then and swirled all around, as he brought forth the map of the prison, as as bright blue illusionary image, hovering in front of him. He then concentrated hard, send out a Telepathic scan of the entire prison and overlaid it with the map. A cast that expanded out across the entire prison and found every biological mind in the building. The inmates and guards were completely none the wiser as they showed up as bright blue beacons, but the two maps didn't exact match. Sukko swore, sighing. He's just have to wing the missing sections. Suddenly, he searched the Telepathic scan for a mind he knew, and he found her, hiding in one corner of the prison. Then, using his new technique to cast at distance, his entered her mind and tickled her. He giggled.
{Hello there.} He smiled, as Blaze giggled. But then she growled.
"Sukko, behave." She spat, a little louder then she'd like. She growled then grinned. She was seeing his brother in him, but the Sorcerer just giggled, but then she really lowered her voice. "Can you hear me?" He asked. Sukko frowned. That was really quiet, and he concentrated harder, until finally he heard her. He heaved, panting heavily.
{Yes, I can hear you.} He reported, it was a just, but yes. She smiled, still standing completely still in her hiding place.
{Can you see them?} She asked, obviously talking about his brother's friends. They had spoken about this at length. Sukko couldn't identify minds in a Telepathic scan, he didn't know, and unfortunately, other then Blaze, Sukko didn't know his brother's friends. He knew them by name, and some of them by face, but that was it. They hadn't met, but he could identify species of a mind and gender. So they were looking for two female Rabbits, most likely being kept together as they were mother and daughter, Vanilla and Cream. A female Hedgehog, Amy. Two male Hedgehogs, Silver, but they were unsure if Shadow would even be here or elsewhere. The Chaotix, A male Crocodile, Chameleon and Bee, in Vector, Espio and Charmy respectively, and finally, a female Bat, in Rouge. Nine people in total. Everyone else in the prison had to be left behind, because if Sukko's plan to stop the Mobian Authorities in it's tracks worked, then it shouldn't matter anyway.
The reason why he wanted to rescue Sonic friend's first then deal with the Mobian Authorities, is that he want to get them out of harms way first. That's what he'd promised his brother. Just incase it all went wrong, which was entirely possible, knowing the success rates of his plans. He huffed. Technically his plans do work, they just constantly have to changed half way through in order to succeed, with usually a major hiccup along the way. He sighed. This was just going to be one of those nights. Let hope he survived to see the dawn. He concentrated, looking the Telepathic scan along the corridor where Blaze was. He smiled.
{I see a male Hedgehog in the final prison cell on the end of the corridor, ahead of you.} He reported. Blaze heart leapt. She gulped.
"Silver?" He hissed. But Sukko just growled.
{I have no idea. We discussed this.} He spat, of which Blaze apologised and quickly moved down the corridor and to the cell in question. The inmate was sleeping, a cover over him in the darkness, but his brown Chestnut colouring gave him away as the wrong Hedgehog. Blaze swore. She heaved, under her breath.
"No. Try again." She spat, frustrated. But Sukko just smiled.
{Patients, Princess. I can see the prison guards long before they see you, and I have already disabled or more accurately, rewired the cameras. They can't see you either. Relax, we have time.} He beamed, the King of Stealth at his best. The more Sukko talked, the more confident he got. He was further coming out of his shell. Blaze took a deep sigh and close her eyes. One deep breath later, she was ready and nodded. Sukko smiled. {Right, another male Hedgehog directly beneath you. Stairs to your left.} He smiled, of which Blaze just grinned. How did he know? But now she was really beginning to understand how good Sukko really was, and fully understood why he'd never been caught. She also realised just how dangerous he was and she was extremely thankfully that he was on her side, and not against her.
She took the stairs down, Sukko Telepathically disbanding several guards on the way, only to find yet again, wrong Hedgehog. It was frustrating, but the pair kept going. Cell after cell, floor after floor, the kept looking for anything that came close to any of Sonic's friends. After nearly an hour, Sukko finally got a hit on a female Bat, whom Blaze's absolutely joy, was Rouge, and she wasn't surprised was still awake. The Bat immediately ran up to her at the cell door.
"Blaze!" She whispered, absolutely gobsmacked. It was the last person she expected to see. She was hoping for Sonic, Tails or even Knuckles. Not the Princess of the Sol Empire. Rouge frowned. "Are you the rescue party?" She asked, looking down the corridor, either side. "On your own?" She asked. But Blaze growled.
"Shh." She spat. "I'm not on my own. I've got powerful backup." She whispered, smiling, of which Sukko just giggled.
{Your not kidding.} He sniggered, only for Blaze to heave and then roll her eyes.
"Sukko, shut it, now get the door." She hissed. The Sorcerer smiled, as the Princess's tone of voice pulled extremely hard on his heartstrings. He heaved, allowing it to. He knew where this was going, and now he allowed it. He obliged. The completely confused look in the Bat's faced, turned into absolute astonishment as suddenly they were surrounded by bright blue luminescent vapour-like hue, as Sukko Magically pushed extremely hard on the door, and it finally broke open. But Blaze swung into the cell, grabbed Rouge and immediately pulled her down the corridor, to the staircase where they hid. Sukko had warned her of oncoming guards. Rouge was panting.
"How did you do that? That door was Chaos reenforced." She stammered, but Blaze rounded on now.
"Not now." She spat. "I'm here to get everyone out, but you have to trust me." She heaved. Rouge looked around. She didn't really understand, but right there and then, she didn't have a choice. Suddenly, Sukko got at hit on two female Rabbits a short distance away down the stairs.
"Cream and Vanilla." She breathed to herself, of which Rouge just stared. Their eyes met. "Come on." She smiled, and Sukko guided them straight there, and they were indeed in the cell in question, fast asleep. He opened the door, and Rouge and Blaze had to run in and wake them. The Bat was delighted. She beamed.
"I don't know how your doing this." She beamed, cuddling the Rabbits. Being in this prison had been hell for everyone. "But I don't care." She whispered. "It's working. Who's next?" She heaved, as she grabbed Cream and Vanilla by the hands, kept them quiet and ran back out into the corridor. Blaze concentrated, as Sukko careful talked her through what he could see. Suddenly another hit. Female Hedgehog. She smiled.
"Amy." She grinned, and soon all four of them were off running down the corridor, down some stairs, dodging further guards until they got to her cell. Blaze heaved with relief.
"Got her." She sighed. Sukko again opened the door, and Amy, having to been awoken, was delighted to see everyone but a little too noisy. Rouge put her in her place.
"Quiet." She spat. "You don't want to get caught, do you?" She spat. She violently shook her head. They had all be tortured here, and none of them wanted to go back. She rounded on Blaze. "Right, you've got the girls, where are the boys?" She asked, but Blaze concentrated, staring off into the distance. She could feel Sukko's power waning. She gritted her teeth.
"Come on, Sukko." She encouraged. Amy frowned, looking at Rouge.
"Who?" She whispered, but Rouge just shrugged. "Her backup, apparently." She added, none the wiser herself. They all waited. Sukko was struggling to find them. The prison had significantly more males in then females, hence the girls were easier to find, and he was having difficult trying to single out a potentially male as a possible friend. Finally, he found one. He heaved.
{Male Chameleon.} He strained. {Two corridors down on the left.} He panted. Blaze absolutely beamed at him.
"Nice work, Sukko." She heaved, turning to the other. "He's found Espio, come on." She whispered and no one argued, everyone desperate to get out of this place. Several corridors later and another cell, whose door was opened by the mighty Sorcerer. Espio had been hiding behind his camouflage, but he immediately showed himself as soon as the girls ran him, him hugging them in delight. Suddenly, Blaze had news. She heaved.
"Vector and Charmy, down the corridor. Come on." Blaze encouraged, desperate to not have the group hang around for to too long. They had to keep moving. They ran down the corridor, and quickly found them in a cell together, the Crocodile desperately trying to settle the crying Bee. The door opened and Espio ran in for a hug. Again, everyone was delight but Sukko frowned.
{Blaze, how many is that now?} He asked, he was struggling to keep track of everyone. She looked around, smiling.
"Seven." She heaved. "But Shadow and Silver are still missing." She heaved, but Sukko frowned, then he swore. What he was seeing wasn't good, and now he had to make a judgement call, for the safety of everyone. He growled.
{I think I've found them. They're both at the very top of the highest tower of the prison. Stripe's Chaos signature is unmistakable. With the Ultimate Lifeform being half-alien, it's definitely him. I'm just glad he's in the same building but getting to him his going to be difficult. There's a second Male Hedgehog close to him in the tower.} He heaved. But Blaze's frowned, though she sniggered slightly at Sukko's nickname for Shadow.
"A trap for Sonic?" She asked. But Sukko giggled.
{Almost certainly. From what I can see, this place had been entire set up to trap the Blue Blur as he rescued his friends. I don't think they were counting on the wrong Blue Hedgehog turning up. They were hoping for the King of Speed, but got the King of Stealth.} He grinned. Blaze giggled, agreeing wholeheartedly. She smiled, actually realising that they were going to do this. Sukko, as much as an expert in Stealth as his brother was in Speed. A absolute Master, the Magic just significantly enhanced it. The Mobian Authorities were not going to know what hit them. They would all be gone before they even knew what happened, when morning came. Quiet, silent, deadly. That summed up Sukko beautifully. But with Sonic's name being said everyone's stared. As the Cat continued mumbling, Vector frowned.
"Who's she talking to?" He asked Rouge, indicating Blaze. Rouge hunkered down and whispered.
"Her backup, apparently." She said, again. But Espio cut across them. He frowned.
"Her guy on the outside." He asked. Rouge nodded. But Vector sighed, as a Detective, he understood and trusted that. It would have been very dangerous to come in here alone. But he gulped.
"Well, I hope he has an idea of how to get out of here." He stammered. Sukko, of course, heard him, as Blaze immediately cut across them. She heaved.
"Yeah, he does actually. Shadow and Silver are being kept in the tallest tower of the prison. For all of us to go up there is suicide." She explained. Everyone nodded. "Vector, you and the Chaotix take the girls and get out of here. Sukko will show you the way. I'll go after the Hedgehogs." She growled. But Vector frowned.
"But how?" He stammered but Blaze rounded on him, her temper flaring. They had hung around long enough.
"Go." She ordered, pointing to the door. Immediately everyone filed out into the corridor, to see a singular thin line of bright blue luminescent vapour-like hue on the floor leading away from them and around the corner. They all stared. Sukko was struggling to maintain that cast and knew they had a matter minutes before it failed. Suddenly, he heard voices outside the garage. Sukko gulped.
{Blaze, get them moving. I can't hold that line for long, not on top of everything else. The light from my Magic is beginning to attract attention here. But I think I can distract them.} He heaved, as suddenly, he used his Telepathy on the guards getting to close to send them the other way. Then he threw out his Telekinesis right across the garage, finding whatever he could to block out the light. Suddenly, he was plummeted into darkness, and soon all was quiet, again. He smirked. {Got it, they've gone.} He smiled to Blaze, happy to getting back to the task in hand, but Vector panicked, looking at the line in the corridor. Magic was the reason, they were all in here. He squealed.
"But that's Chaos Sorcery." He stammered, but Blaze just lost her temper. She pointed in the direction it showed. She growled.
"Which is legal in the Sol Empire." She spat, to the stares of everyone. "Please trust me, he's one of mine." She heaved. It was now obvious that his 'guy on the outside' and the Magic were all one and the same person. Not having much of choice, everyone nodded. From the way she rescued them, she was telling the truth. Blaze heaved. "Now go." She ordered, and immediately Vector picked up Cream and Charmy and they all ran down the corridor, following the line of Magic out of the prison, through the guard's entrance, which Rouge thought was a stroke of genius, Sukko just about holding it as they left.
Vector quickly stopped and turned round just as the Magic dissipated, back into the darkness, as they ran from the prison. He heaved, in absolute relief, now believing that Chaos Sorcery might not actually be that bad. It depended on the hand that wielded it. It had got them out. They were free.
"Thank you." He nodded, and quickly joined the others. Blaze then ran the other way, alone, deeper into the prison.
