Ken had hoped that his past wouldn't catch up with him. Yes, he constantly beat himself on the head about it, but he had hoped that maybe, no one else would. Especially when he had people in his life like Daisuke, who smiled at him and told him that he wasn't the Kaiser anymore, there was no need to worry…

Then a group of Digimon hellbent on revenge captured him, and then left him in one of his old cells with a dislocated leg and a lot of blood.

The pain started to fade away too fast for Ken to be comfortable with it. One moment he had been full of pain, having to bite on his own lips to stop himself from screaming, and the next, he was about ready to slip into unconsciousness, eyes drooping, the pain fading away…

"Ken!"

Ken forced his eyes open. "Motomiya-kun?" He whispered, recognizing the voice.

Daisuke ran into his sight, a concerned look on your face. "Ken, are you okay?"

Ken tried to get up, only to let out a cry of pain and fall to the floor once more. Daisuke winced and, after throwing open the cell door, went over to his leg. "I, uh… am not really good with anatomy?"

"My leg is dislocated," Ken supplied weakly.

"Ah, that's probably a bad thing," Daisuke muttered.

Ken squinted up at him. "...are you here to break me out?" he whispered.

Daisuke rolled his eyes. "Of course I am! Come on, I'll support you." He pulled Ken up to his feet and together, they slowly walked out of the cell.
