Chapter 7

We'll Meet Again

Despite her worries, Yozakura and the others assured Asuka that they would survive, but she believed that they were wrong, because they had no idea who Fubuki really was at all.

"Fubuki, this tournament can only end when one of us is declared the champion. However, your belief in what Kurokage once believed can't be done, even though he's gone. And now, it's time to prove that we see that this battle of truths can decide who is right, and who is wrong," Sora told her.

"So what is it you both plan to do?" she asked.

"We're going to fight and win this battle, and then we'll show you a new type of justice for everyone around us," remarked Yumi.

"The justice of the moon? Talk about naive," scoffed Fubuki, then she pulled out a fan from beneath her bandages.

Yumi and Sora were shocked, until they heard her ask if they were ready to fight. Everyone else sitting on the stands saw what was going on, as they all saw Sora and Yumi prepare to battle Fubuki in the arena. However, Kagura began to explain everything she knew about what Kurokage once was. It all began when Hanzo and Kurokage, back when they were young men who were fighting to keep the peace, as well as ensuring that the people were protected, despite the statute of secrecy. However, the young Kurokage was still acting distant, as well as callous towards his friend. They did share a few drinks together, but then they were greeted by Yume, a young woman, who seemed to resemble Yumi, even before she was born, and toasted his success. However, things slowly started to go wrong, as most of their companions got hurt by a deadly trap, set by those who used the darkness, the evil ninjas, who desired destruction. Hanzo and Yume tried to warn Kurokage that he was about to walk the road of vengeance. The loss of his mother and father had affected him, and that hatred would always be his tool to repay them in kind. The way he was acting, it began to turn him into something worse, and he even went up against the council by saying that he would wage his own personal war against those who had fallen into darkness. Even still, the other kunoichi in the present saw the fan Fubuki was holding looked very similar to Yumi's, although Senkou and Gekkou saw that their leader was far more powerful than anyone they'd met. The three of them charged at each other, and their deadly clash began. However, below them, both the Hebijo and Crimson teams were now at a standoff with Rasetsu.

"Ah, it would seem that Fubuki has finally begun her match," she said.

Suzune was quick to explain that although yoma could form words like humans would, this was much worse, until Miyabi discovered that its intellect was different. Despite this, Rasetsu warned them not to underestimate her, as her aura shot up, making everyone afraid. Above them, Sora fought with all he had, with Yumi at his side, and even deflected the dark projectiles with his Keyblade.

"Thank you, Sora," she said to him.

Fubuki was impressed.

"Counter attack! Snowsky!" cried Sora.

They unleashed a barrage of ice based attacks on her. Fubuki deflected it easily away from her, giving him the advantage he needed, and attacked with his Keyblade, only to force him back.

"You're strong, Fubuki. But unlike you, I don't plan on going down that easily, and neither will Yumi," he said to her.

"I see. Then let's go all out!" remarked Fubuki, and she lunged at them.

But Yumi knew what she had to do. She soon attained her ultimate form, Ice Queen.

"No way. This is Yumi's super form?" he asked himself.

He shook his head, and focused on the battle.

"Embrace your dreams. And whatever happens, protect your honor as Warriors of Light," Sora and Yumi said together.

"Come and get it!" he shouted, lunging at her.

As they continued the battle, Kagura explained that the council was now outraged by Kurokage's actions, stating that he had been relieved of all duties, and placed under probation. However, the man still believed that he wanted evil expunged from all living things, but the council still adamantly believed that what he was doing was wrong, and that the yoma were an even greater threat, as well as believed that ninjas from both sides would form a common cause against an even greater darkness that was pulling at their strings, thus leading to gray, where black and white would merge together. Outraged by what he was hearing, Kurokage declared that everyone was truly pure evil, and even warned them to leave Hanzo and Yume out of his actions. Back in the bar, Hanzo tried to warn his friend that destroying all that is evil, would turn him into something much worse than evil. Unknown to them, something from the shadows made Kurokage snap at him, and even declared that if the world would brand him as evil, then he would destroy it with his own two hands. A fight broke out between them, and the mysterious figure smiled proudly at what he was seeing.

"Heh heh heh heh… That's it, Kurokage and Hanzo. Let your personal differences turn you into the most bitter of enemies, so that your descendants can continue this curse I've placed on you," Kurai said from the shadows, and he walked off leaving them behind, as they continued arguing about what they believed most for the world they lived in.

He stormed away, declaring that there would be a world pure and bright, so that no darkness would ever contaminate it. But as he was leaving, he saw Yume looking disappointed at him, until he heard Hanzo tell him about the sword and shield, and how they would also define something different.

"Forget it, Hanzo. I have no need for swords and shields. My path is laid out with blood and vengeance. That is my destiny," Kurokage said as he walked off.

It was then that the council declared that since he was now a traitor to all that was good, they branded him as an enemy of mankind, after what Hanzo told them. Both parties soon began their hunt for him, but a few years later, Yume gave birth to a healthy baby, and was now caring for her child, just as he arrived with supplies. The new mother believed that Kurokage was still alive, despite what he had said, and that she would ensure that her legacy would live on, so that they would be the greatest of all ninjas. This made Hanzo feel at ease, but one night, Kurokage was still on a bloodthirsty rampage, slaughtering everyone who was on the side of darkness, until he met Kurai Izunia who had traveled back in time.

"Who the hell are you?" he asked.

"I am the one who made you say that your path is laid out with blood and vengeance, like my own father, Ardyn Izunia. My name is Kurai," Kurai replied in a calm tone.

"If you are evil, then you must die as well," Kurokage said bitterly.

Sadly, he did not win, and he fled after bandaging his wounds, just as the snow fell. Again and again, he killed without mercy, hesitation, or remorse, his morality now truly pitch black. Unfortunately, Kurokage heard the people talking about what happened to Yume, and that her children had survived. His heart suddenly sank, until he heard the sound of a young Yumi in the snow. To his surprise, while keeping himself composed, he saw that she did indeed look like Yume, and asked if she was by herself. The elderly ninja's gaze softened, and for the first time in his life, he saw great sadness in her heart. After telling her that she would be his granddaughter, Kurokage took the young Yumi under his wing, even when she told him about the scar on his cheek, proud, but also sad like she was, and they walked off with each other, holding hands. Back in the present, the battle continued to intensify, while everyone watched in horror.

"This is the end!" shouted Sora, and he lunged at her, but was forced back by Fubuki.

"Well, well, Sora. You really do remind me of Grandfather Kurokage, even by the way you fought and defeated my subordinates. But this battle is only beginning. Time to show you the truth you don't know," she remarked.

A dark aura surrounded her, and she was engulfed from head to foot. When it vanished, she was wearing a darker set of clothing. A revealing kimono mixed with ankle-length loincloth, all lined with gold that mostly exposed bits of her chest and legs, and small white flowers on her neck, the middle of her chest, while her shoulders were adorned with black straps, connected to a pair of stockings.

"What in Kingdom Hearts?" he asked in shock.

"Now then, shall we continue?" Fubuki asked them.

"Okay, fine. You asked for it!" replied Sora, and both he and Yumi attacked her, only to find that they had blocked their attack.

"Is that the attack you thought would beat me? How sad!" she smirked with a cruel chuckle.

The battle now intensified even further, making everyone even more worried. Suddenly, they saw her be blasted back by a burst of wind.

"You'll pay for that, Fubuki!" howled Sora, and he lunged furiously at her.

"Come, Sora! Prove to me you are indeed Grandfather's reincarnation!" cried the dark twintailed kunoichi.

But Yumi saw the terrible truth. She saw that Fubuki was indeed very familiar to her, until Sora was forced back by her yet again.

"Do you see, Sora? I lived with Yumi when we were children. We trained together, with Grandfather Kurokage," she said to him.

"N-no way. You and Yumi were raised like sisters? By Kurokage himself?" Sora asked in shock.

"It appears you are correct about that. Yes, we are indeed foster siblings. But our destinies are actually very different from each other. Unfortunately for you, Yumi's justice of the moon means nothing to me at all," Fubuki explained to him.

This made Yumi even more shocked, until she heard something that made her truly afraid.

"Listen well! I now declare war on every shinobi in this world!" she announced.

"Oh, wow. So that's her goal," observed Kagura.

"That's insane, Fubuki! Do you really want to slaughter all shinobi, good and evil, just so that you can sate your own personal vendetta!?" Sora asked in dismay.

"If you wish to know the truth, Sora, then you must know that everyone in this world is nothing but pure evil, just like all shinobi. Hence why I've pledged myself to Jenova's justice!" cried Fubuki, and out from the ground appeared the four Hanzo girls, bound in chains.

Asuka was shocked, until the Crimson and Hebijo teams appeared, along with Team KRYYSTAAL, who warned them of the yoma that was after them.

"A yoma!?" Sora and Yumi asked in shock.

"Why are you doing this!?" he demanded angrily.

"As I told you before, I will destroy this world and follow the justice of the great Jenova, Mother of Sephiroth. And this world will die once I have fulfilled my mission!" she answered him.
