Sprx peered off to the side.
He, Antauri, and Gibson decided to have a day out and Chiro wanted to come along. Antauri and Gibson weren't too sure at first, though in the end they allowed him to come. They figured it'd be fine, just as long as Sprx didn't flirt with Chiro out in public or do anything else romantic with him.
Chiro suggested that he could get everybody food and drinks, which they all thought was a good idea. They told him what they all wanted and he left. All three of them talked while they waited for Chiro to come back. However, it was taking him longer than expected. It made Sprx wonder if anything happened to him.
It just so happened he was on his way back and he ran into a couple people. Sprx could tell it was those BT and Glenny kids Chiro occasionally mentioned. He couldn't hear the whole thing, but by the look on Chiro's face, it seemed like the two were bullying him again. He knew that they didn't bully him as much as they used to, but it didn't seem like they gave that up completely.
He then heard the two throw accusations of unfaithfulness. Sprx clenched his fist. He wanted to get up and help him out. Antauri placed their hand on top of Sprx's.
"Whatever you're thinking of doing, Sprx, don't do it." Antauri ordered. "Chiro can handle this on his own."
"Even if he can," Sprx stood up, "I'm not letting him deal with that by himself."
He ran over to Chiro, no matter what Antauri tried to do. He sighed.
"I fear we will be doomed."
"Put some trust in Sprx. He wouldn't bring up his relationship with Chiro when he knows he shouldn't." Gibson reassured them.
"But will he? You know he tries to flirt with Chiro even though we tell him not to." He countered.
Gibson stared at him for a few seconds before his tail held onto theirs. He laid his face onto his hand, looking straight at the table.
"...We're dead."
"That we unfortunately are."
In the meantime, Sprx climbed onto Chiro's body. His tail wrapped around Chiro's waist as he leered at BT and Glenny. Chiro blushed as much as a human could. Sprx could tell how much Chiro was shaking and how much his heart raced. Not only that, but the teen's grip on everything he ordered tightened.
"Look you two, I don't know everything you said, but I've heard enough." Sprx started. "Chiro's a good kid, and I can tell ya both that he wouldn't be unfaithful. He feels the slightest bit of guilt if he does something and even thinks of not tellin' his partners any of it! Hell, if ya don't believe me, you can ask them what they think of him and the whole relationship in general! Don't ever assume somethin' about him without knowin' everything, otherwise you'll hafta-"
"Okay, okay!" BT held up his hands, waving them. "Yeesh, what a protective chimp. Have fun with 'em, monkey boy."
He grabbed Glenny's arm and dragged him as he walked away. Glenny merely stuck his tongue out. Sprx smirked with satisfaction and jumped off Chiro. Chiro looked at him with his face still reddened.
"Sp- Sprx! You can't just do that in front of people!"
Sprx chuckled. "What, wrapping my tail around you like that? I can't help it if I'm feeling protective of one of my lovers."
He took his stuff from Chiro's hands.
"Just… Just don't do it again please," Chiro looked away.
They walked back to the other two. Chiro put everything down and Antauri and Gibson grabbed their individual drinks and food. However, as they were doing that, Gibson eyed Sprx.
"You didn't say anything about your relationship with Chiro, did you?" He asked.
"And give two of my partners heart attacks?" Sprx scoffed. "Of course not! If I wanted to do that to ya both, I would've done somethin' else."
"That is… not as reassuring as you think it is, Sprx." They said.
Sprx could only laugh at that.
