"Now why are we searching this cave again?" Obi-Wan questions as he makes his way down the abandoned mining cave.
"Because there might be Death Watch hiding here, so I need you to come with me in case there is." Satine replies.
"Oh yes, of course, I forgot you don't know how to fire a blaster." Obi-Wan teases, and Satine hits him in the arm.
"I know how to fire a blaster, Ben, I just merely choose not to use it." Satine counters.
"Yes, I forgot, you won't fire a blaster to save your life." Obi-Wan says, smiling.
"Stop being such a tease." Satine says smirking.
"So, then you're saying not be myself." Obi-Wan replies, and Satine huffs.
"As if that would ever stop you." Satine states.
"You know me so well, Duchess" Obi-Wan says and kisses her.
"Yes, well, we have been together for some time now." Satine whispers as they pull away. Obi-Wan turns around and looks to the front of the cave that is a few feet away now. "What's wrong?"
"The Force is warning me of something." Obi-Wan states. "As to what, I don't know." All of the sudden a beeping sound appears, and it's beeping rapidly. Satine looks to Obi-Wan in alarm.
"Satine, get back." Obi-Wan shouts. He Force pushes her away from the front of the cave and she lands a few feet away, then all of the sudden the front of the cave blows up, smoke filling the air. She scrambles to get up and runs to the now caved-in entrance and gasps, she can't see Ben, all she sees are rocks.
"No no no no no, Ben, no." Satine exclaims. The smoke clears a little and then she can see a hand sticking out. "Ben!" Satine shouts and rushes over, as she gets nearer, the rocks start to fall off him as he tries to get them off himself, she moves to him and helps take the rocks off. "There we go."
"Satine." Obi-Wan stutters, his face is covered in debris and his whole body is quivering in shock. She gasps as she sees a wooden beam on top of his torso, cutting into his stomach, blood staining his robes and the beam. Tears start to fill her eyes as she looks down at her beloved, she kneels by him and grabs his quivering hand.
"Ben." Satine says, managing to get her voice under control. "Look at me, okay." Obi-Wan looks too her and squeezes her hand.
"Looks like you were right." Obi-Wan manages to say, referring to the Death Watch.
"Since when have you known me to be wrong?" Satine softly says, a tear sliding down her cheek in the process.
"On uh, on many occasions." Obi-Wan stutters, his breathing growing heavier. "I think I broke my legs, um, I uh, I can't feel them."
"Don't worry, we'll get you fixed up." Satine comforts him. She then hears someone shouting behind the closed-off entrance.
"Mayday, mayday, we need an extraction team. We found the Duchess." Someone says, but she doesn't much care, all her attention is focused on her beloved right now. Ben's eyes start to close and her heart breaks, he's not making it out of here and she knows it.
"You have to stay awake, Ben. Please, for me." Satine pleas.
"Am awake, just tired." Obi-Wan replies back. "When we get back, I need a shot." Obi-Wan says, breaking the tragic silence.
"Why is that?" Satine asks, tears rolling down her cheek.
"Rusty nail. Going to get infection if I don't." Obi-Wan whispers back.
"How did that happen?" Satine manages to say, her voice almost betraying her.
"Got pricked on the way here." Obi-Wan says, his eyes start to drift, and she shakes his shoulder.
"Please, Ben, you need to stay awake." Satine pleas with him, his body goes still, and she hangs her head down, he suddenly jerks awake and then looks at her.
"I can't, I can't feel my legs. Can't feel my legs." Obi-Wan says then stills for one final time, Satine grasps his hand and lays her head on his arm, crying finally.
"Please wake up, Ben, please. You can't leave me like this. I need you, Ben, I need you." Satine cries. "I can't lose you, Ben. You are supposed to leave the Jedi after the war, remember? You would get to become a Duke and we would get to be happy, together! I can't lose you, Ben, I can't. I need you to wake up, please."
"Please!"
