Here's your request Arkzero. I do hope that everyone will enjoy this rather different story. It's a one-shot and it's about twice as long as any other one-shot that I've written before.

"Why don't you make it and I'll stand by to make sure you do everything correctly?" The mother suggested.
"Ok sure. I'd love to learn how to cook." Himawari excitedly declared.
"Oh silly girl, were just making a few sandwiches not really cooking. Your father won't be home for very long afterall and I have quite a few house chores to take care of." The mother calmly explained.
"Awww... Well. Ok I guess this will still be fun." Himawari was disappointed but none the less resolved herself to learning how to make a sandwich with her mother's instruction.
The young girl went over to the stove and grabbed the ingredients from the bag she brought home while her mother grabbed some cheese from the fridge.
"We'll be making some cheese sandwiches so the thing that matters the most is timing, go ahead and spread the butter across the bread." Himawari's mother said as she turned the stove on.
"Ok." Himawari focused on following the instructions until she had spread butter across both pieces and then took the cheese looking at her mother as if asking if the cheese comes next.
"Go ahead and put the cheese in the middle of the pieces of bread while making sure it's not touching either of the buttered pieces and put it in the pan."
The girl did just as she was told and listened to the pan as it started to sizzle. While the duo was working on lunch the front door was opened and someone walked in.
"Hinata I'm home. What's for lunch?" A blonde man walked in the kitchen and took a seat at the table.
"Welcome home Naruto-kun. We'll be having cheese sandwiches." The woman turned around and greeted her husband with a sweet smile.
Himawari also turned around and her face lit up with excitement.
"Papa! I've missed you so much!" She ran over to her father and hugged him tightly causing the man to chuckle and embrace her back.
"I've missed you too sweetie. Have you been a good girl for your mother." Naruto asked as he looked down at his daughter.
"Of course! I've been helping her make lunch for you today and I've helped with all the house chores as well." Himawari happily recited the recent activities of her daily life as her father listened with a calm and happy smile.
Hinata smelled something starting to burn and heard a loud sizzling, she looked to see the sandwiches starting to burn and quickly turned it off while moving the pan to a cooler area of the stove.
The sandwiches were dark brown causing Hinata to sigh in defeat.
"I should have paid a little more attention." She muttered to herself while grabbing a butter knife to scrape off the burnt crust giving it a more properly cooked appearance but even with that it didn't necessarily look perfect.
"Alright lunch is served." She spoke with a gentle smile as she turned her attention towards her loving family.
Naruto chuckled as she laid the sandwiches in front of him.
"Thankyou sweetie."
Hinata looked at her daughter and spoke to her next. "Would you like to make yourself a sandwich now? You'll need your strength as we have a lot of work ahead of us today."
"Okay sure I will." Himawari smiled and ran back to the stove.
The two adults turned their attention towards each other as Hinata took a seat across from Naruto.
"It really is nice to have you back home even for a short while. You look tired though, how is work going?" Hinata expressed her kindness, concern, and curiosity all at once.
"Well... it's as tiring as ever unfortunately. I don't understand how a kage could have so much paperwork on top of having to run around town every now and then to finalize businesses and structural decisions on how to renovate and expand upon portions of the village." Naruto tiredly explained as he rubbed his head as he recalled all the cons of the hokage position.
Hinata's face slightly scrunched up in concern as she felt saddened by her beloveds despair, the woman stood up and walked around the table till she was facing behind Naruto. She then pulled his jacket down showing more of his undershirt.
"Hinata... what are you... ohh... ahh that's nice." Naruto groaned in comfort as his wife had taken to giving a back rub.
"Your so tense. You've been spending too much time hunched in that office chair again haven't you?" The concerned woman inquired.

Many long business trips to the other nations as well. Interactions... are... basically nonexistent now." Hinata grew saddened near the end as she realized how long it's been since she saw her family and how distant they've become from one another.
"Oh I see. But what's changed? Last I knew your sister was still heiress to the clan and effectively in charge of everything, she should still be pretty busy with all of their business affairs shouldn't she?" Naruto wondered curiously.
"Yes you are absolutely right. But here's the thing... I've been speaking with my father and sister. Lord Hiashi has agreed to take the position as clan leader back for a little while so that Hanabi can... become your new secretary."

"Come on now just look at how things are now. You spend more time in that dusty office than you do anywhere else. Shikamaru may be of some help yes but he's still lazy and would rather give you most of the paperwork even if he did more there's too much work for just you too. Your barely ever home anymore and even when you are it's mostly just to sleep... Which you do more of at the office." Hinata laid out her points in order to try and convince the man.
"Lord Hiashi is getting old, his time as a leader is behind him and you know it. Hanabi was groomed for years to be heiress, if she became my secretary then it'd just cause more problems down the road for everyone." Naruto stubbornly short back.
"My father's body may be worse for ware but his mind is as sharp as ever, he's led the clan for years. He'll do more than manage, I can assure you. Please Naruto. Please consider it... for me." Hinata begged him.

"No. I worked to become the hokage my whole life so at the end of the day for that very reason I don't regret becoming the hokage one bit but even so the paperwork is just horrible. Even if Hiashi is still capable I would never wish to impart that hell onto someone else. It is my burden alone Hinata."
Hinata was on the verge of tears now. "It isn't just that! I thought this might be a good way to bring our families closer together. Naruto you need help, you've been overworking yourself for months, my sister is very capable when it comes to things like paperwork. She will lighten the load immensely I promise." "Can you at least tell me if you'll be home tonight? I won't accept anything less than a basic yes or no response." Hinata spoke seriously.

"You really have grown out of your shell darling... Yes. I'll be sure to come home tonight, now I really have to go."

About ten minutes later Naruto had reached the office and opened the door where a familiar man with black hair was waiting for him.
"There you are, something of the utmost importance has come up. There's no time to waste." The man spoke with urgency.

"What is it Shikamaru?! Are the Otsutsuki back?! Did Orochimaru betray us?! Is Shino drunk again?!"
The man shook his head no and pulled a paper out as he looked Naruto in the eyes with a calm and stoic expression.
"The annual music festival has arrived and Killer Bee has contacted us to find out where in the village we will be setting up the festivities. Kumogakure will be playing a vital role in the construction of the stage as well as setting up all the stands."
Naruto dropped his jaw speechless as he raised a finger in the man's direction.
"Wh... th... are... you can't be... WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!"
Shikamaru tilted his head to the side as he looked at him in confusion.
"What? The festival brings in more revenue than any of the other seasonal events. It also promotes tolerance and understanding amongst the five great nations as well as bringing our respective cultures together under one banner. Of course it's a matter of immense priority."
Naruto facepalmed himself in annoyance as he heard his assistants explanation.
"You ass. It's just a damn festival regardless of all those facts, you made it sound like the village was in danger. I wish you'd stop overplaying the severity of such matters... it's stressful." The valiant and noble hokage spoke defeatedly as he trudged over to his desk and looked at the mountain of paperwork that sat on top of it.
'How did Granny Tsunade and Kakashi-sensei ever manage when they were hokage.' The blonde wondered.
"So what do we have left besides that?" Naruto asked slightly nervous about the answer he would get.
"Well let's see. There have been more bandit attacks on the traders and merchants which will have to be addressed, you have an appearance to make for a new business opening, and we still have to plan for the upcoming field trip to the land of lightning. There are more things of course but they can wait a day or two" Shikamaru explained.
Naruto processed everything and took a deep breath resigning himself to what's to come. After accepting the situation he was in he steeled his resolve.
"Let's get to work. I need to see my wife tonight."
And with words of infallible determination Naruto summoned a clone to go take care of the opening and began furiously skimming through paperwork.
Later on everything was starting to look in order for the day. Naturally there was never a shortage of things to do but Naruto had met the criteria for what needed to be done in a day without needing to work overnight.
"Nice work Naruto. I'm surprised you had it in you." Shikamaru complimented seemingly very impressed.
The blonde sheepishly chuckled as he made one final print out of a form for the field trip.
"Well thanks for the vote of confidence... ehh who am I kidding? I'm surprised by myself too." He joked as he grabbed his jacket and prepared to depart for home.
"Oh and one more thing." Shikamaru suddenly added.
Naruto pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance as he felt the relief of having everything done ripped away.
"Yes what is it?" He asked fearing the worst.
"I'll be away from the village for a week. Temari and I are going back to Suna for our honeymoon." Shikamaru informed him.
"Oh... that's really all?"
Being given such a simple answer to something he didn't have to jump up to fix surprised him but then he realized he'll be without his assistant for a week.
'Well that's an issue for another day.'

The black haired man nodded with a smile and the two headed their separate ways for the night.
Later on Naruto opened the door to his home and placed his jacket on the nearby rack.
He looked around and saw that the house was lit only by candles and that a trail of rose petals was leading through the hallway.
'Hmm... what is she up to?' Naruto thought to himself confused but decided to follow the trail which led to their room.
He opened the door and looked around, no one seemed to be there. The room was quiet and dark but illuminated by many candles.

Naruto closed his eyes and reciprocated her loving touch. He hadn't spent much time with Hanabi like this but he found it pleasant even though a part of him felt guilty knowing it should rightfully be his wife laying there he had grown attached to Hanabi.

Naruto shrugged and went to grab a snack. Before he could get to far he heard a sleepy yawn coming from his wife.
"Eeerrhhhh... N-Naruto... H-Hanabi... what are you... doing on the ceiling?" The sleepy Hyuga groggily asked.
Hanabi giggled uncontrollably and Naruto had to hide his amusement by turning to the kitchen for a minute.
"Where not on the ceiling silly." Hanabi playfully scolded her sister with a knowing smirk and her hands on her hips.
"Ohh... Why am I on the ceiling?" The elder Hyuga asked even more confused.
Hanabi thought for a moment on how to inform her of her current predicament
"Well you passed out at lunch. We were really worried about you... but you seemed fine, so we thought it'd be a pretty funny prank if we just tied you up there." Hanabi spoke in a vague manner preferring to leave many other details unsaid as they weren't necessarily any of Hinata's business from her perspective.
Hinata giggled and looked at the two people she loved more than anything besides her daughter.
"You guys... your so silly." Hinata said with a sweet smile.
The next day Naruto, Hinata, Hanabi, and Himawari were all on the outskirts of Konoha having a picnic together.
"So how are things at the office now? You know, since Hanabi's been helping out." Hinata asked curiously.
"Well it's actually been great. Thanks to Hanabi we've gotten completely ahead and then some. Now we just have to take care of all the incoming each day which between the two of us easily gets done before it becomes an issue." Naruto happily responded feeling more refreshed than he has in awhile.
As they were all talking Himawari came back with a basket of fruit and set it down for everyone to enjoy.
"Papa can we play after lunch?" The sweet girl begged her father with pleading eyes.
"Sure sweetie, I'd love to." Naruto said with immense enthusiasm.
This made the young girl very happy as she hadn't been able to spend much time with Naruto since he became the hokage.
"Yay!!! Thankyou papa!" The girl joyfully shouted as she plopped down in her aunt's lap and started to munch on her food like a glutton.
Hanabi stared down at her beloved niece and wrapped her arms around her.
"After you finish your food how bout we play some tackle ball just you and me." Hanabi proposed to the girl.
"Ok let's do it!" The girl said in between eating.
A few minutes later Himawari finished and went with Hanabi to go play leaving Naruto and Hinata alone together.
Hinata smiled happily as she rested her head against Naruto's shoulder.
"You know I'm really happy you have Hanabi to help you out now. Moments like these would be nothing but dreams if not for her." Hinata said dreamily as she gazed at the clouds.
Naruto looked up at the sky with a smile as he was thinking before grabbing Hinata's hand.
"She really is something special." He said relaxed as the two enjoyed their time together.
