Apple Zap is a red pegasus with green eyes, and a rainbow mane and tail. Her cutie mark is a rainbow apple, a zap apple. She is technically part of the extended Apple family, and works selling apples. However, since she lives partly in the sky and has her own way for doing things, her relation with the rest of the family is a bit distant, and awkward. She can be aggressive, but it's mostly just a rough exterior.
Bluster Blues is a blue unicorn with red eyes. His mane and tail are mostly blue, with a few thin red stripes. His cutie mark is some sort of magic symbol that resembles a firework. He got into Celestia's school with a spell where he and his sister combined their magic in a way not seen before. While he is taught by Celestia, he's happy to be average, and not an overachiever. He sometimes is an over thinker, but less in a worrying way, and more in a making theories way.
Melody Midnight is a dark blue pegasus, so dark she can be mistaken for black in certain lighting. Her eyes, mane, and tail are purple. Her cutie mark is a musical note. She teaches music. She used to be friends with a bully, who escalated what he did until he got into a bit too much trouble. After that, she became nicer, but her confidence plummeted and she has a hard time trusting herself with decisions.
Bling Bling is a pale pink unicorn with blue eyes. Her mane and tail are two different shades of blue. Her cutie mark is an origami swan. She is Bluster Blues' twin sister. She helped him get into Celestia's school by combining their magic, but on her own, her magic skills aren't very good, and she didn't have interest in going to that school herself. She would've been happy to live her life without doing anything significant, sticking mostly to art. But she's always ready to help out when her brother needs it. This can be good too. And maybe she's a bit worried if she doesn't help, they'll drift apart.
Comet is an orange earth pony, though he has black fur that looks a bit like flames going part way up his legs. His eyes are gray, and his mane and tail are black. His cutie mark is, no surprise, a comet. He works as a performer, doing things like acrobatics and shooting himself out of a cannon. He's pretty high energy, and wants other ponies to be happy, though he sometimes should dial it back. He told Bluster in their first meeting, that he'd set fire to himself on stage multiple times. And that was not the worst of it.
Frost Scoops is a white earth pony with blue eyes. Her tail and mane are blue and light gray. Her mane and tale also look a bit like newly scooped ice cream. Her cutie mark is a scoop of ice cream in a cone. She had recently opened an ice cream shop when she met the other five. She seems to be the most settled of the group, but she does give away too much of her business and time to others.
