"I cannot stay Anakin, I must fight this war with what is left of the Jedi order." Obi wan told him as he got Anakin and Leia to safety after their flee from Polis Massa.

"You cannot do this alone." Anakin said simply, he was angry at Palpatine and what he had done.

"Anakin, you must control your anger, this is no longer your fight. You have a child to protect." Obi Wan told him firmly. "I will do my duty as you will do yours." He repeated again.

"We have never gone to war without one another Master, forgive me for my concerns."

"I do not like that I will not have you by my side Anakin but your duty is to your daughter and to Padme. I promise you, I will do what I must to stop the Sith." Obi Wan promised.

"If you find her first, or hear a word of her, please bring her to me."

"I will." Obi Wan said. "Goodbye old friend."

"May the force be with you, Master."

Anakin replayed that last memory of his master in his head as he zoned out. He had not heard from Obi Wan since, that was 5 years ago and he felt like everything around him was falling around. He replayed the moment he found our Palpatine was the Sith lord, the moment he almost fell to the dark side, the moment he was named Darth Vader, the moment the Sith tried to kill him and his family on Polis Massa, the moment Coruscant was destroyed by the sith, he hated them and it fuelled his anger. He felt his fists clench as he let out a deep and heavy breath, anger surging through him like the aggressive flow of the lava rivers back on Mustafar, he wanted revenge, he wanted to kill Palpatine. He was clouded by darkness and there was only one thing that could force him back to the light.

"Daddy!" Leia called to him, skipping up to him from across the living room. Instantly, he snapped out of it when he heard her voice.

"Hi sweet girl." He smiled, lifting her up onto his knee. He felt guilty for even feeling the pull to the dark side, but it was something he struggled to control.

"We have to leave again soon don't we?" she said with a pout, she was used to having to leave places every so often.

"I'm afraid we do, it is the only way we can find mommy and Luke." He said softly.

"I just wish we can stay in one place."

"I know, me too." He whispered.

"We'll find them soon, daddy…"

"I hope so."

"Me too."

Padme and Luke were walking around the sandy markets getting the last of their supplies to last them through the upcoming sand storm. Padme struggled at times to know whether to stay for a little while longer or go.

"I got the fruit momma." Luke said with a smile, carrying them for her.

"Thank you, Luke." Padme smiled, stroking his hair slightly.

"What else do we need now?" He asked, looking up at her. He loved her so much and truly valued this time with her.

"We need some bread and then we can go home and get ready for the sandstorm." She said softly.

"Okay." He said with a smile, skipping a head slightly.

Padme smiled watching him before her attention was drawn to the horrible screeching sound of tie fighters in the distance. Clenching her jaw she looked up and saw them approaching and fast, there were a lot of them and she felt her heart race. "Luke!" She called to him, before grabbing his hand. "We have to go!" She said simply, dropping everything and picking him up in her arms as everyone scrambled around to get away.

"What is it mommy?!" He said a little scared, clinging to her.

"The war baby." she said softly as the tie fighters began shooting down onto the market, things exploding around them, fires starting, blasters going, people screaming and crying. Padme dodged as best as she could but things were getting so bad.

"OVER HERE!" She heard a voice shout, looking up she saw a familiar face waving her over.

"Owen?!" She asked, she remembered him from her time on Tatooine with Anakin during her protection mission.

"No time. Let's go." he said, helping her onto the pod before speeding off into the distance.

"Why are you here?" She asked confusedly, holding Luke to her chest.

"Tatooine's supply is running low. There is barely enough food to feed Beru and I. With the other planets practically destroyed we have had to travel as far out as we could to get the simplest of things. Here seemed like the safest place to stay right now."

Padme swallowed hard, "It's really that bad huh?" She asked him.

"The galaxy is losing Padme, if we can't stop it I fear we will soon be under the rule of the Empire." He said honestly.

"The Jedi will stop it. They must."

"There aren't nearly enough of them, most of them were killed in Order 66 and the remaining ones are in hiding out of fear of being hunted by the sith."

"Wait, they are being hunted?" Padme asked with an arched brow.

"I have heard word that the empire's current mission is to destroy the entire Jedi Order, as if it never existed. Only then will they have complete control." Owen said softly.

"Anakin…" Padme whispered slightly, worried for his life, for her daughter's life.

Anakin and Leia walked the streets of the city, one of the few places not yet hit by the war. Leia held his hand tightly as they walked through the busy streets. "Hood up Leia.." He told his daughter as it began to rain. Leia followed the instruction and skipped next to him, before she noticed a large crowd ahead of her.

"What is happening daddy?" She asked curiously, looking up at him. Anakin arched his brow suspiciously.

"I don't know. Stay close to me, Leia." He said in instant protective mode.

As the pair got closer, he noticed imperial guards patrolling the streets, people looking terrified and trying to sneak away. He instantly pulled Leia closer to him, holding her hand a little tighter.

"Those men are scary, daddy." She said softly to him.

"I won't let them hurt you, Leia." He promised, trying to get close enough to find out what was going on but far enough to keep them safe. There was some scattering and a few noises before an old woman grabbed his arm, "You're Anakin Skywalker…you have to go, quickly before they find you." She told him, using her body to shield him from the guards sight.

"Who find me? What is going on?" He asked.

"The sith, they're storming every planet in search of the remaining Jedi. They are trying to destroy the order, if they find you they'll kill you and her." She warned him. Anakin clenched his jaw.

"If they destroy the Jedi order, the Sith will have complete power over the galaxy." He said simply as he figured it all out. He could see the guards getting closer and clenched his jaw once more, knowing he could not fight, though he wanted too, so much. His pull to the darkside was creeping through and he wanted to slaughter every last imperial guard that caused so much pain, but he had to control it. He had to.

"Go!" The woman told him. "Go." she said once more. Anakin swallowed hard and nodded, picking Leia up and turning around heading back to the ship.

"Where are we going?" Leia asked him, holding onto his neck.

"We have to leave. There are some very bad people here, Leia." He told her honestly.

"Are they going to kill you Daddy?"

"No, they're not going to do anything." He promised her. As he walked through the streets, he watched every corner and was so careful not to run into any guards. Everyone knew who Anakin Skywalker was and they at least knew his face, he would be recognised in an instant.

"Daddy they're behind us." She whispered in his ear, seeing guards in the distance.

"Don't look at them baby, just look straight at me." He said softly, kissing the side of her head. "We're nearly there." He mumbled.

"Daddy they're coming, go quicker." Anakin swallowed hard as she tried to walk faster without looking suspicious, he could sense them close by but the ship was close by too.

"Stop there!" One of the guards yelled, Anakin could see the ship close by and ignored, but felt them begin to run towards him. "Stop!"

"Leia, you need to run." He whispered. "Run to the ship and start it up like I showed you, I'll be right behind you."

"No daddy, no." She said, clinging to him.

"Leia, you must. The force will guide you, trust me…" He told her. "I won't let anything happen to you." He promised her, looking at her. Leia swallowed hard and nodded.

"Okay…" She whispered, taking a deep breath before he put her down and ran as fast as her little legs could take her, letting out moans and grunts at the pressure she was putting her body under. When she got to the ship she started it up like Anakin had shown her, watching out the window as Anakin fought off the guards with his lightsaber, before blocking them with some rocks and running to the ship.

"Let's go." He told his daughter instantly flying off.

"That was scary." Leia said in a breath of relief.

"You were so brave, Leia. I'm so proud of you." He said softly, taking her hand as he flew the ship out of the atmosphere.

"We've located Skywalker, leaving the Bandomeer System." Said the imperial guard to the holographic image of the Emperor.

"Follow him and bring him to me…alive." Palpatine said simply.

"Yes, my lord."

"Vader is a strong warrior, strong with the force. You are no match for him, but fail me and you no longer live to see the empire in its prime."

"Understood."

Padme had let Luke sleep in a safe place when they were back with Owen in a safe and far enough place away from the invasion. Going back out to Owen.

"Can you take us back to the outer rim territories? I truly believe Anakin is there." She said softly.

"I can try, but it is heavily guarded by the imperial fleet." He said softly. "No one gets in or out. I managed to flee just in time." He said softly.

"I have to go back, Owen. I have too." She told him she was desperate.

"Padme it is not safe."

"The galaxy has never been safe, I have fought in countless wars and I will do the same again. I have to get to Anakin and my daughter!" She told him again, her firmness was harsh but still in quite an inspirational leader like way.

"What about the boy?"

"Luke will stay with you. You are his family and I trust you will keep him safe until I return." She said softly.

Owen clenched his jaw and looked at her, "And what if you cannot find us again, there is no way to keep in communication with you."

It was a possibility that Padme would leave and never see her son again, but she didn't believe that for a second. "We just have to trust in the force."

"The force? The thing that got us into the mess in the first place?" Owen was a bit skeptical about it all.

"There is more good in the force, than there is bad. We must remain as loyal to the force as we do ourselves. We will come out of this, I believe so." She said softly. Owen sighed softly before nodding.

"I know someone who may be able to help, but it is a risky game you are playing Padme."

"If it was Beru, you would do the same thing." She said softly.

"I would…"

Whilst Luke slept, Padme went to his bedside stroking his hair. "I love you so much Luke." She whispered, "Please know that whatever I do next is only out of love, it is to protect you. You are my life and I will always protect you." She whispered. "You are my life, Padme." The words of Anakin rang through her ears, she missed him so much and she longed for her daughter. "You are my life…" She whispered once more before kissing his cheek and going back to Owen to devise a plan.
