I have seen the full moon rise

Disclaimer: I don't own pokemon. I own this poem, however.

Author's Note: What AM I doing? Have I lost it? Most likely. This is just a short little majorly angsty poem I wrote in about 15 minutes. Oh, by the way, it's in the eyes of some other pokemon, I dunno what, though. And the creature described is a Vaporeon. Have fun and please review!

I Have Seen…

I have seen the full moon rise

Above the shining bay

Illuminating every shadow

Lighting up the darkest gray

I have seen that highest cliff

Where the crying creature stands

Her tears fall from the peak in height

Creating ripples below in the arid sands

I have seen her stare with such longing

At the ocean she once could freely roam

But now she can only see the shadows

Of the waves that used to be her home

I have heard her singing softly

About the sunsets she's seen here

And how the ocean gave her courage

But now she only feels fear

I have seen her close her eyes

As she sings with all her heart and soul

When she says through tears her heart is empty

Yet still she remembers when it was full

I have understood her song

She's saying that she used to be free

But now her body has been captured

Still her heart belongs to the sea

I have grown to know and love her

Although she's never once seen me

So my heart was totally shattered

When she leapt into the stormy sea

I have seen her body wash up

It was bruised and battered; the waves were violent

Her eyes were no longer wet with tears

And it saddened me so to see her silent

I have seen what capture can do

To one who's heart belongs elsewhere

I will make sure her legend lives on

So others will see captive life is unfair

I have seen those peaceful mornings

When I'm walking along the sand of this coast

And I look up to the cliff with her song in my heart

And sometimes I'll see her glowing blue ghost

I have seen the truth in her song

She's saying that she used to be free

But then her body was captured

And now she herself belongs to the sea

Author's Note: Oookay…. That was angstier than I intended…. Oh well, didja like it? I'm writing it to get rid of writer's block or… something. Oh well, I'm proud of myself for finally writing a pokemon poem! Please review; I want to know if I should write more of these! Feel free to flame if you want….
