Another Perfect Day
This is a song fic. I wrote while listening to American Hi Fi's song "Another Perfect Day" the song comes in at one of the other chapters that I have yet to post, so just hang in there... PHOEBE N' COLE ROCK
Phoebe sat nervously by the phone. She was supposed to get the call any minute. The doctor said from 1:00 to 1:30 and it was 1:29... *What if it's yes, what am I going to tell Piper and Paige?* she reflected. The clock hit 1:30, the cookoo went off one time like it always does at half past the hour, Phoebe gasped. The phone remained motionless.
"Dammit!" Phoebe slammed back into the upholstery on the couch. She looked over at the clock once more. 1:31. The phone rang, and Phoebe nearly jumped out of her skin.
"Hello?" Phoebe said cautiously. She listened as the voice on the opposite line explained what she had been dreading all along. Piper came into the room just as Phoebe put the phone back into its cradle.
"Who was that?" Piper asked her younger sister.
"Umm, wrong number," lied Phoebe. Piper just shrugged and left the room to get back to the kitchen, where the wonderful smell drifting through the house originated. Phoebe's stomach began to churn and swivel as the effects of the situation really hit her. How was she going to tell Cole?
