In my first story True Leader's Never Know I didn't write a summary or a disclamier, which was a big oopsie on my part but I didn't really know what I was doing. So hear goes. I don't own any of the charaters I mentioned they all belong to good old Gene and all the people that produce EFC. This story is about Renee Palmer and how a nameless peron in the Resistance sees her. It's sort of a response to They Just Don't Get It that Katie wrote.

Made of Stone

I'm a simple girl I joined the Resistance as soon as I could and have been here longer than just about anyone, but some times I just can't figure that woman out. I know she's been hurt and to keep the pain away she puts a wall between her and the world trying to distance herself from people. We all have tried the "I'm made of stone" trick at one time or another but she is so heartless. In all my years I have never seen such ruthelessness as I do when I'm around Renee Palmer. I watched the movie 'Sabrina' when I was youger and she reminds me of this scene when Sabrina and Linus were at the beach and she was telling him what people think of him, that he was the only living heart donor, that he thought morals were paintings on walls and scruples were money in Russia.

Some times I used to feel sorry for her, she's lost so much. But then I'd see the way she acts, they say that actions speak louder than words and from her actions I can say that Renee just doesn't give a damm. In the begining I think she really was concerned with the wellfare of humanity but some where along the line I think it just became revenge. She's out to get the Taleons and anyone helping them and Renee doesn't care who she has to crucify or kill to do it. She is really good at getting the job done and her actions will help decide the outcome of this war but I don't care how much control you have on your emotions, I don't care how long you've been swiming in the shark infested pool of corprate business there are just limits to how much of your soul you can sell and still be considered a good person. I think she passed those limits a long time ago. I just don't know if Renee's realized it yet.

I heard her say once that Liam Kincaid was a bleeding heart and that was his weakness. That it would get him killed. The thing is he actully cares about his people about all people. You can see it in his eyes, but when you look in Renee's all you see is calculation and the burning determination to win that has become her life.
