What is home?

What is home, anyway?, Phoebe Halliwell pondered for the millonth time. Ever time she asked herself, she came up short of an answer. She never found an answer satisfying enough for her. Her home was four walls, a roof, and a ceiling. Ok, so it was little more complicated then that, but still.....

However, there was one place that she felt lots of warmth. It was safe and secure. It made her feel like she was queen of the world. The sky could be falling down on her, but it wouldn't matter as long as she was in-

"Phoebe?", someone interupted her thoughts. "Are you here?"

She realized that she had been starring out the window of her bedroom into the rain. She felt surprizingly num. That could be easily fixed, though....

"Yah! I'm in here! Can you grab my sweatshirt when you come in? I'm freezing!" If she had realized who it was she wouldn't have asked.

"I've got a better idea!" The guy wrapped his arms tightly around her and kissed her cheek. He had come up behind her, so she was still watching the rain fall.

"Mmmmmmm...", she moaned. "This is a better idea. I like it alot more!" Her eyes were fixated on the glass.

"Whatchya watchin?", he asked, seeing that she was a little side-tracked.

"I was just thinking about something. It's not important, just curious. Me being me."

"I wouldn't want you any other way!", Cole smiled at her faint reflection on the glass. "Tell me about it. Maybe I can help?"

"Ok, I was just wondering what home was. Not in the where-I-live sense of the word. The feeling you get of being at home. I was just trying to find it. Where it is for me, you know? Sounds stupid and corny, I know, but I just was thinking and...."

"When you're in my arms. That's where I feel most at home. I don't think I could ever live if you never put your arms around me again. That's my home. Keep searching, you'll find it! I know you will."

Cole pulled her on to the bed and under the covers. He could tell that she was tired and needed to sleep. To be perfectly honest, he needed to sleep, also. But he was hoping that she wouldn't be so sad in the morning. It made him sad for her to be sad.

"Goodnight, Phoebe. I love you." And she knew. She instantly knew where her home was. She could tell right in that moment where she found her homey feeling and she didn't have to pay rent on it. No one could ever take it away from her, she wouldn't let them. Sisters and Demons alike.

"Cole?"

"Yeah."

"I know where home is."

"Where?"

"With you. I love you."

She smiled and closed her eyes. If she had kept her eyes open, she would of seen Cole's face that said nothing could make him more happy then he was right then. He felt her fall into sleep and decided he should do the same.

He heard one last thing before he dozed off.

"I love you."
