Once upon a time I saw

Once upon a time I saw

These guys with flapping lips

And movement so different from

Those funny `Loony Tune' clips

I asked just why they moved so weird,

Just why they were this way

Someone smacked me in offence and said,

"You idiot, it's anime!"

So I began to watch this stuff,

I was greatly in awe

It seemed in this Anime everything

Followed a common law

Everything explodes, my friend,

From trucks to men to beasts

And everything speaks the same way,

And the series don't seem to cease

Most things in anime attack so violently,

Most things are made of steel

Very rarely in anime,

Are things portrayed as real

In anime the fights are harsh,

And frequent, I should say

Not one episode can pass by,

Without a bloody spray

Anime has an obsession

With small, furry monster things

And over half, by my mark,

Have spikes or cannons or wings

And hair in anime is odd,

It makes a characterization

It shows the person's mood or feelings,

It often changes with mutations

Hair, as well, seems invincible,

Rarely falling off

And a bald anime hero,

Causes anime buffs to scoff

I watch with great perplexity,

This Japanese animation

Its dubs alone are not enough;

I need a culture translation!

But swept away, indeed I was,

By a single, stupid show

Pokemon has mired me,

The anime craze will not let go!

I draw it now, aye, watch it too,

And forever will it stand

It spread into my cerebrum,

Just like Viruses in Digi-land!

Like Mew2 on his Island perch,

They watch us sit and drool

Like the Negaverse, it conquers us,

At home, at work, at school

We'll never escape this binding trap,

Until the craze dies out

But while I still watch anime,

Pronounce it right, you great lout!

(I'd like to note, before I go,

An amazing little fact-y

As far as ff.net goes,

Anime has the majority!)
