Little Mountain Range A/N: To the tune of "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver. The thirty-seventh year of the park (Disneyland) was 1992. The first part of the third line is a reference to the inscription over the entrances to the park.

He arrived in the summer of the thirty-seventh year
Of the park, when it wasn't such a big resort.
When he left today behind him, it felt like being young again;
It was unlike anything he'd felt before.

When he first came to the mountains, it was a Saturday,
Anyone could get lost in the throng,
But the ride on any coaster is like flying through the air,
It keeps moving fast, and it don't last for long.

Chorus:
On the California little mountain range,
Like everything else there, it will change,
The experience you get is wonderful and strange . . .
Little mountain range, California . . .

He rode on all the mountains, he saw summer crowds below
He saw everything as far as you can see
And they say that he was stupid once, riding with his mouse ears on,
So he lost a hat, but kept a memory.

Now he walks among the theaters, the forests and the streets,
Seeking thrills in every ride he takes,
But he sometimes has to hurry up to try and utilize
The adrenaline from a speeding mountain race.

repeat chorus

Now his life is full of wonder, but he still does not approve
Of the buisness thing that we all understand:
Why they always tear the good rides down to bring in a couple more -
More people, more profits from the land.

(repeat chorus to end)

Disclaimer: I do not own Disneyland or the song. No money is being made off this; I write because it's fun. :-)
