Disclaimer: I don't own the X-men or the Brotherhood. If I did I wouldn't have the Brotherhood missing for three, count them, three whole episodes! Where the heck did they hide these guys? Well "Adrift" did give me one idea….
On the Phone Again
"Hello?"
"Kitty?"
"Hey Lance!" Kitty lay back on her bed. "What's new?"
"Nothing much, um…What's new with you?" Lance twirled the cord around his end, not sure of what to say.
"Nothing much," Kitty shrugged.
"Oh this is such scintillating conversation."
"Pietro get off the phone!" Lance shouted. "Sorry about that Kitty."
"Hey no big deal. I know what it's like to have your privacy violated. Right Kurt?"
" Is he listening in on us too?" Lance groaned.
"No he was just in my room. If only Rogue would go with him," Kitty glared.
"All right, all right, I can take a hint!" Lance could hear Rogue on the phone. "Just tell the Rockhead to stop shaking things up around school okay? Otherwise I'll punch his lights out!"
"Uh…Rogue says hi," Kitty said.
"I can feel the love," Lance rolled his eyes. "So um…Kitty…I …uh…I was wondering if you weren't too busy if you'd like to…you know…"
"Oh for crying out loud just ask her out already!"
"Pietro I told you to get off the phone!" Lance screamed. "Oh man…"
"You are really losing your touch you know that?" Pietro snickered.
"Pietro!" Lance shouted. "Well, I guess you have a pretty good idea of what I wanted to ask you. So you wanna do something?"
"Like what?" Kitty asked.
"I dunno, what do you wanna do?" Lance asked.
"I dunno, what do you wanna do?" Kitty asked.
"Whatever you like," Lance said.
"Well whatever you like," Kitty said.
"It's like listening in on an echo…"
"Pietro is that you again?!" Lance shouted.
"No this time it's me," Todd said.
"Like what are you doing on the phone you little slimeball?" Kitty shouted.
"Well we thought it was time to teach Toad here about girls," Pietro said. "We thought he could pick up a few tips. Boy did I pick the wrong example."
"Pietro, Toad I swear if you two don't get off this phone right now I'm gonna have Freddy duct tape you two to the trees!" Lance shouted.
"I wouldn't do that!"
"Et tu, Freddy?" Lance groaned.
"Huh?" Fred asked.
"I suppose Tabby's listening in on us too!" Lance snarled.
"I don't have any choice," Tabitha said. "They're using the extension in my room."
"Will you losers get off the phone and let me talk to Kitty in peace?" Lance snapped.
"Maybe this isn't a good time," Kitty said.
"No!" Lance shouted. "No! Don't hang up! Please! I'm sorry! I…I really want to talk to you. Really. I miss you."
"Lance how could you miss me?" Kitty rolled her eyes. "We just saw each other a few hours ago at school?"
"Well I just do," Lance shuffled his feet. "I miss you Kitty."
"Really?" Kitty asked. "That's so sweet."
"That's pathetic. That's what it is."
"Pietro I'm gonna kill you!" Lance shouted.
"Boy Kitty you really warped this guy's mind," Todd said.
"He's got it ba-aa-d," Tabitha snickered.
"Lance and Kitty sittin' in a tree…" Fred began.
"K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" The rest of them joined in.
"For the last time knock it off!" Lance shouted. "Kitty I am so sorry. Kitty? Kitty? Are you there Kitty? Kitty? Hello? Hello?" Lance slammed the phone down. "You are all DEAD! You hear me? DEAD!" Lance raced upstairs to the maniacal laugher above.
