He woke up to the slight drizzling of rainfall, comfort to what he was currently feeling. Not only that, he had awaken to the sight of her - Kitty. With a subdued groan, he struggled to lift his body, and turned to face her.

"...You're still here?"

She nodded slowly. In a reproving tone, she spoke, "What you did was stupid, you know."
He laughed that rebellious laugh of his, and she couldn't help but smile at his brute cuteness. How ironic.

He stood up carefully, brushing off the grassy debris that clung to his suit. With a curt nod, he thanked her, and began walking off.

She was motionless for a moment, standing there idly as he walked off. She closed her eyes, and inhaled deeply, emotions distraught. Indeed, such feelings she held for the Brotherhood member seemed....inappropriate. Good and Evil never did reconcile ever since the birth of mankind, so should dismiss the feelings altogether? There was so much to consider, and so much at stake if she gave in to this relationship - namely the X-MEN. She contemplated all this, and tried to rationalize these feelings the best she could. "A stupid crush" or "true romance?" Either way, she couldn't answer the question.

Then unexpectedly, he stopped. His walking ceased, and he turned around and gazed at her.
Still there.

"Kitty...you have to know that I ca-"

She cut him off before he could speak. "It's not going to work."

It was a response he wasn't surpised to here, either.

"The more important question...would you stay with the Brotherhood if we did...?"

She needn't directly state the prospect of them forming a relationship, everything was understood. He looked down upon her...and pondered how innocent she seemed, her damp, ponytail clinging to her shoulders. It was then that he shook his head.

"You're right. It wouldn't work."

Someday then, she thought to herself. Taking off one of her diamond earrings - the ones she cherished so dearly - she handed them to him.

"Just know, I won't ever let harm come in your way."

They smiled at one another, and left it at that.
