A/N: I'm back! I know I haven't written anything for a while and I'm sorry for it. Seeing how today is Remembrance Day, also known as Veterans Day, I thought I'd write a fic to honor those who fought to keep us free. No names are mentioned but none are really needed. And don't be too shocked, but this one is a quick one shot and is VERY short. Plenty of angst with couples. Since no names are mentioned you're going to have to imagine your own couples this time. Have fun and please review!
Warnings: Not too many this time, just watch out for the angst.
Disclaimer: Gundam Wing and its characters belong to their creators. I am in no way making a profit from this fic.
The sun had begun to set and its wide array of reds and oranges cast a warm glow across the field. White crosses dotted the field of wild red poppies. A large stone cliff overshadowed the field giving it an eerie shadow. Ten war-hardened teenagers stood at the edge of this cliff looking into the field below. Some of them carried poppies and others carried rose petals. All of them were crying. Each teen had come as a couple with another. Some couples stood holding hands while others hugged each other. Each stood, lost in their silent memories. Some memories brought images of dying soldiers and blood stained battlefields. Others brought back images of lost friends and allies. All the memories brought back the pain and misery caused by war. One teen with loose blonde hair quietly spoke and said, "We must remember those we have lost lest we forget and repeat our mistakes." At the same moment he spoke each teen released their flowers. A gentle breeze picked up their falling petals and tears and wove them among the rows of crosses. Some petals settled on the cold November ground while others perched atop the crosses and poppies. Their tears made dark marks on the crosses, which were soon erased by the cold autumn breezes. A whisper followed the departing teens. It said:
"Please remember…"
