Each glorious summer that arrives, I come down to my family's beach house that sitight upon the water front. It over looks the azure ocean as it calmly flows in the faway distance. Crashing waves come up to the shore, leaving salty bubbles on thurface. The white sandy shore is always seen with streams of joggers, familierowding around, or surfers looking for a peaceful day alone. Just them, the watend the sand. I must say that I always find that peaceful.
Each morning a new day starts, a day where I am awakened by the waverashing up at shore. The sun shining through the bay window. Tiny birds chirpinpon my window sill, always making me smile.
When I go into town, I'm greeted by the smiles upon friendly faces and fits oaughter. Wherever I may be, someone always makes time to say hello, or they asow am I doing. I never get to have that back at home. When I leave to go home, I'lways missing those small things that some people would take for granted, but I don't.
Each summer that comes, I always come down to the beach no matter whaoes on back in my life at Salem. Trust me, thats alot. All the while, I am left thinkinhat there are sometimes where I just wish I could stay there forever.
That life is totally opposite to my hectic life in Salem. Back home, I awake bhe bright orange sun picking it's way through the cracks in my blinds, reminding mhat today is a new day which meant more decisions to make. More headaches. Moronfrontations with angry employees. Another day at Basic Black.
My best friend, Kristi wonders why I don't take days off from work and let mrother, Brady, run the business, but I can't do that. He is already Vice President, anhat's just as important as my job. He couldn't handle both my job and his. Kristlways just stands there, laughing at my persistence. But that's who I am. Belle
Black, stubborn as can be.
I guess thats why I look forward to coming home to the beach house. It's juso serene, full of life, so friendly. It is a life that everyone always read about. The lifhat everyone wants. A dream life, I call it. Everyone knows everyone. Everyonnows what is happening. Everyone is there for another. Back in Salem everyone io concerned with their own affairs, they never make time for others. But I guess I
can't say much, can I?
The house here is always my consolation to what I have back home. It's whaolds me together. Mimi, my best friend who stays on the beach during the yealways makes everything better for me. I have other friends too there that just maky time their more enjoyable.
Jason Welles who just always makes me laughs. There are sometimes when homes out with a joke that just pops up on the top of his mind. And they are alwayunny no matter what.
Then there is Chloe. We just met two summers ago, but we instantly becamriends. There was just something about her. When ever I'm feeling down, she alwayakes time to listen to whats going in my life, or what I'm feeling. She's there for me.
My other friend is Phillip. He's just Phillip, the Golden Boy, as I call him. Hiiller dimples, his smiles. Those big blue eyes. He is always there, telling me what I
want to here.
At one point during the summer, Brady flies down, but he only stays for two three weeks. A month if he is lucky. It's just nice to spend time with him withouhinking about the trades going on between us and Titan INC.
My life here is just perfect. I don't know what else to say.
Now, I'm here at last. The beaches. The house. My friends. My life here on
Atlantic Beach.
