Ranma and Ryoko (working title)
A Ranma 1/2 and Tenchi Muyo crossover
by Shea McIntee
Disclaimer: Neither Ranma 1/2 nor Tenchi Muyo belong to me. I wish they did, but, well, they aren't.
Prologue
Genma was shaking in fright.
This wasn't exactly a new thing: the balding practicioner of Anything Goes Martial Arts was a notorious coward. However, he was rarely THIS afraid of something.
The last time he felt this was was when the Master was still free. But even thought of the Master didn't reduce him to such a quivering lump.
At least, not without effort. And the Master, perverted and evil as he was, didn't want to actually KILL his students. Just punish them.
However, he wife, when she found out, would be quite enthusiastic about ending his life.
His son, Ranma, was gone.
He didn't think the old man looking for a fiance to take care of his granddaughter would have been so sneaky as to leave the night before, after Genma had celebrated his good fortune in the bar (ie, drank away the 1500 yen he got for selling Ranma this time).
He was doomed unless he could rescue the boy (ie, steal him back). In a panic, he ran down the road towards the next village. Maybe someone had seen them...
Nodoka was going to KILL him!
He was a small bundle by the side of the road. Maybe... maybe the old farmer abandoned the boy after all!
Black hair... blue eyes... looks kinda like him...
Make that black spikey hair and blue cat-slitted eyes.
Not Ranma after all.
He was somewhat similar, though... maybe he could take this one instead. He looked to be about four or five, and Ranma was five.
Perfect.
He'd just have to take him away on the training trip earlier than he planned to keep Nodoka from noticing the differences.
As he picked the child... Ranma... up, he noticed a flash of gold. A strange-looking golden pendant with an odd clear jeweled, rainbowed, with three small blue-green gems surrounding it.
It could be valuable - best that he held onto it for the child...
He reached to take it. It would undoubtedly bring enough to feed them for a while, and he deserved a drink or two for taking such good care of the boy. It -
- didn't want to be touched.
A blackened figure staggered down the road, carrying a rather noisy bundle with him. He needed to find some contacts and some hair gel...
