Drove to the church
In my suit and tie
But I just couldn't bring myself
To go inside
He couldn't believe that Harry Potter had out done him again. Ginny Weasely was the first person that Draco had loved, and now Potter was marrying her. He was actually going to go and wish them the best at her wedding, but he just couldn't make himself get out of the truck he had borrowed from the ministry.
So I sat alone
In my truck across the street
Watched that chauffeur smoking cigarettes
By that long white limousine
I could just imagine
What was goin' on in there
Sunlight streamin' through the stained glass
And those flowers in her hair
She must look so beautiful, Draco thought. "Damn, that should be me!" he exclaimed, slamming a fist on the dashboard. He caught the attention of the chauffeur, but before the chauffeur could come over to him, the church bells rang and the door opened.
And in less time that it takes a tear to fall
Those bells rang loud as thunder
As they opened up the doors
Now I don't have to wonder anymore
Laughin' and a cryin'
Tossin' that bouquet
And when you got in that limo
I drove off the other way
Draco quickly started the engine and drove off. He didn't know where he was going to go. He just knew that he couldn't go home just yet.
And I still don't know
Why things happened like they did
But I parked that old pickup
On that lonesome river bridge
The day Draco proposed to Ginny was still fresh in his mind. It was the day after her graduation. She had told him that she needed to talk to him. He had replied, "So do I." When he asked, she burst into sobs.
"Draco," she had replied through tears. "I can't bear to tell you this, but I have to. I'm in love with Harry"
I took your ring from my pocket
And I held it one last time
Watched that diamond sparkle
I drew back and I let it fly
And in less time that it takes a tear to fall
Oh that old ring went under
And now it's gone for sure
And I don't have to wonder anymore
Is it really that easy, thought Draco? Can something disappear that quickly? If only hurt could. If only the heart could heal that easily. And, with a clear mind, he thought, yes.
Well the angels sang like thunder
As I felt myself go under
Now I don't have to wonder anymore
And Draco Malfoy knew no more.
