1.1 MELODIES OF LIFE--the power outage

2 Dagger_12

This is my demented version of a final fantasy IX song, Melodies of Life. (all disclaimers apply... I do not own ff9, squaresoft does!! Awww, too bad...)

As my dear friend nadare_69 put it, "It's about Vivi Ornitier talking to Zidane about his "experiences" with Kuja. Vivi-kun doesn't have electricity anymore cuz he's a dependent...Kuja-sama used to pay for his necessities."

With those in place, here goes...

Alone in the dark

I'm so scared I wet my pants

I tried to find my flashlight

But Kuja stepped on it (crack!)

And so I kick him in the you-know-where (ow!)

Melodies of Life, my own version

Our fuse box blew up (KABOOM!)

Though I really don't know why

When I checked, I saw Quina

Gnawing on the wires (chomp, chomp)

And then angry Kuja came with a high mage staff in tow

He wonked Quina on the head (me seeing stars!)

T'was a fatal blow (aaaah! Me dying.I go to frog heaven now.)

In my dearest memories,

Do you remember electricity? (bzzt-bzzt)

'cause you're gone,

I cannot pay my monthly bills (ka-ching!)

YOU BASTARD!!

A voice from the past,

Tryin' to creep me out

Telling me to leave this godforsaken place

And so I leave, bye-bye Kuja. (hah! Good riddance-umm, I mean.bye.)

Melodies of life

Through the potties beyond the stinking poop (barf)

Forever and ever

So far and away, see me as I fly by (flutter, flutter)

Gliding under your purple thongs and crashing smack on a pie (ouch)

As I try to rebuild my broken wings

A grand dragon chases me all the way to the Iifa tree

In your dearest memories, do you remember tryin' to save me?

Was it fate that made the beast go crazy and trample you.?

I sit by your bed, you gently stroke my cheek (do I have one?!)

Scolding me for running away and being such a geek

And then we hug, really really tight

Melodies of life

Could you please let go of me now?

I cannot breathe anymore.

If I should leave this lonely world behind

I'm sure you'll remember my silly parody

Now I know we'll carry on

Melodies of life, come circle round and grow deep in our hearts

As long as we remember
