A/N: Thank you all, so much for your reviews! I never thought anyone would like this story, but I guess I was wrong. Thanks again!
Final Decision
She stood in front of them, oblivious to everything around her.
How had this started? She couldn't remember. But now she had this final decision, maybe even the last one she'd ever make. Well, not if she did it right. The only problem was, she didn't know how. It wasn't in a book, like everything else she dealt with. It was in her. She thought about what Giles had said, right before she'd left,
'It's in your heart Buffy. The only way to stop it, is to listen.'
She felt pain in her heart. The pain of knowing she could only take one of them home. The pain of knowing one of them would destroy the entire world unless she finished them. But through that, there was something else. That something else told her what to do.
She met his eyes, taking him in one last time, and then she plunged the stake deep inside his chest.
And he was gone. Where he once stood... dust. She felt a brief pang of regret, but as two strong arms wrapped around her, she felt it melt away. And a small smile crossed her face.
She would miss Angel, but that didn't even compare to how much she would have missed Spike.
