Notes: I love Dib. I love Eiffel 65. This is a songfic. Dib reflects on Zim's arrival. First IZ fanfic. It's short.

Dib watched the stars twinkle in the nightsky, up above. Up a bove a world where his visions were limited, but his mind simply wandered. Wandered about what was beyond the stars, beyond the planets, towards the farther extent of the galaxy. He knew he was right, when a light fell from the nightsky, and crashlanded on earth. In the form of a tiny green alien. A green alien from planet IRK. One that came in search of domination. The alien that had showed up at skool that day. And his name was ZIM.

it's another race from outer space.
it's another race away, away.
it's another race from outer space.
it's another race away, away.

It had been a few months since he looked up at the sky, and caught transmission from up above. A few months, since the alien had landed on earth. HIS home planet. He turned on his side, and fingered his trench coat sleeves. It was unusually warm that night. Too warm for a night set in November. It was also very quiet that night. Of course it would be, it was nearly 2 in the morning.

they seem to walk on air,
and they act pretty strange.
they live around us,
but you can't recognize them
we can't communicate.
with they're one way brain.
no matter how you try,
you just won't understand them.

He had been clever. In researching the best he could. It seemed that nothing he did ever worked. It was true, he had saved his classmates from a doomed fate with a moose. But why did he even try? Nobody ever believed him. Nobody took his seriously. The paranormal agent was a outcast. An outcast with a obsession for a red eyed, antennae clad alien. How could people be so stupid? Dib rolled on his back, the pale moonlight against his face, as his hazel eyes twitched from the warm light.

it's another race from outer space.
it's another race away, away.
it's another race from outer space.
it's another race away, away.

and they think they got it made,
they're right, but they're wrong.
and they try to use our words
but it's a lie.

To them, everything was normal. To him, everything his arch rival did was a living lie. He saw, only truth through those eyes. Everybody elses' clouded over with disbelieve. Even his own family. His father was a very busy person. So he couldn't get two words in each wise. And when he did, it woudl always be: 'Oh very good then.' And he'd usually run off sighing to himself, about wasting his time. Dib would prove himself. That another being was living right on earth. And he had to be stopped, before it was too late. Dib relaxed his mind, and watched the messages written in the stars.
