Where I Belong

This world is just too strange

It's not right for me

I want to go where I belong

And let my true self be

That world is in a book

In a movie too

In every imaginer's mind

And in a realm beyond the blue

I know it may sound silly

Naming it like this

It is called the Labyrinth

Aboveground, I wouldn't miss

The Labyrinth is a place

Where all my dreams come true

Magic and adventures

But most of all you

Maybe you're like Jareth

Of the Goblins King

Or you could be his son

Who writes of me and sings

I know it's where I belong

I can feel it, I just know

It's just the matter of getting there

And making not too many a foe

I say the right words

And all I do is wish

This is the right thing to do

It isn't childish

But despite my good wishes and words

Jareth never looks

I can only get there

Through movies, my mind, and books

The dreams are nice adventures

The movie is special, yes

But really trying to be there

Is just a big mess

I fuss over the words

Am I saying something wrong?

I'm almost there

I can hear Jareth's song

I can write this poem on

But I wouldn't have much to say

The Labyrinth gives me a feeling

I can't get any other way
