Future thoughts
Davis was walking home from graduation. He knew that he was going to leave. He wasn't going to move, but he was leaving anyways. He just wanted some space. They all had tickets to Matt's concert, he was going to leave when they were all there.
Matt was just finishing band practice. And was heading home when he saw Davis coming towards him. "Hey Davis what's up?" "I'm leaving." "Whoa, that's too bad. I'll make sure I tell TK for you." "NO! I don't want anyone to know." "Then why are you telling me?" ".I wrote a song that I qwant you guys to play at the concert you invited us to. I'm leaving then, so can you play this song for me?" "Sure Davis. I'd love to play your song." "Thanks Matt." Davis said as he left.
"Hey bro! What's that paper you have with ya?" "Uhhh, it's a song that we're going to play on our concert." "Can I see it?" "Sorry, but this one is top secret." "Okay."
the next day.
"Matt! How can you expect us to learn this song in three weeks?" "GUYS! This is for a friend who's leaving on the night of that concert. I promised we would play it for him." "S-sorry Matt. We'll try to learn it." "Thanks guys."
Two weeks later.
"Man Matt, I'm glad you told us to play this song. I bet the crowd will love it!" "Yeah, I'm surprised that Davis is so good at writing songs. Well, I'll see you guys at the concert!"
One week later.
"Yeah Matt!!! You rule!" Mimi screamed as Matt finished his second to last song. Davis had disappeared about intermission but no one really noticed it. Then Matt said something before playing his final song. "I'd like to dedicate this song to Davis's friends. He left during the concert but he wanted me to play his song for his friends.
"So many people I must meet"
"So many places I must seek"
"All that I ask is just one thing,"
"And I say it in the song I sing"
"Please, please, please"
"Please don't forget me"
"That's all that I ask of you"
"Please, please, please"
"Please don't forget me"
"And I will never forget you"
"I, will always, think of you."
"Please, sometimes, think of me"
"And your true friend, I will always be"
After the song, there was silence. Then, someone started clapping. Another person applauded with him, and soon, everyone was clapping for the song. Davis's farewell song to his friends.
As soon as the song ended, Kari and Ken rushed out of the concert hall to see if Davis was still there. Unfortunetly, he had already left.
Davis was almost to his grandfathers old house. He wanted to stop at is childhood home away from home. After checking it out, he grabbed a few items that he still loved, and left. He would be gone for more than 10 years.
