Well, here's more! It's a little short, but I'll write more, I promise. Here we go..

"Des?" Gunn poked his head in the offices. Desiree was there, looking out the widow up at the sky with a almost worried look on her face.

Oh shit, Desiree thought, I gotta go now. I'll never get to Redondo by tomorrow night if I don't leave now.

"Des?"

Desiree jumped and looked to see Gunn looking at her with a look of brotherly concern on his face.

"Are you ok?" he asked.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" she asked, trying to mask the sadness in her voice at the look on his face.

"Well, let's see. You always look sad or ready to bolt, if we say just the slightest thing about your past, you go into a brooding session that Angel would be jealous of! That means, to me, that something's up. While we're at it, why won't you tell us why you're here and how you know how to kill vamps? I'm pretty sure that's not something they teach you in high school. You're story's gotta lot of holes kid. I just want the truth."

"I can't tell you anything about my past. You might be in danger if I do."

"From who?"

"Me."

"Care to elaborate?"

"No."

"Does this have to do with 'The Dark Savior' or whatever?"

"What is this, 20 questions?"

"Just answer that last question."

"What about the 'Dark Savior'?"

"Does this have to do with him?"

"Yes. He and I go way back."

"Whoa whoa whoa. Hold up a second! You've been living here two weeks and you never told us you KNEW the guy we've been trying to find?!" Gunn exclaimed.

"Did you ever bother to ask? And anyway, yeah. I knew him. Or at least I thought I did." Desiree suddenly looked very tired, and she closed her mouth and walked out of the room, leaving behind a very confused Gunn.
