The floor gave way and they went crashing through, landing entangled on the ground of the basement. Sepia debris rained down around them, coating their bodies in a fine antique powder. Buffy's pale hair spilled forward onto Spike's forehead as they recovered from the fall and resumed their unexpected liason. She moved against him, watching the vampire's face spasm with pulses of pleasure. Something wicked inside her screamed for Spike to slip into game face; she ached to hear his gutteral resonance.

He touched her cheek, his icy blue eyes ablaze with excitement. He understood that to Buffy this romp was all about the sex, but for him it was the chance to finally make love to her. Spike could sense the Slayer's need, could feel her power surronding him, and all he wanted to do was return every bit of it. "Oh, Buffy."

His voice surprised her. The usual rough undertones of his sleek purr were nowhere to be heard, his sharp accent dulled by tenderness. She was suddenly aware of the fact that he truly did love her, finally filling those words she believed to be hollow. She could feel it in every inch of his vampiric body, could hear it in his useless breath, could taste it in his razor mouth. It shocked her that this souless creature-- this *demon*-- could make love so purely.

He felt William the Bloody surging through his veins, the monster known as Spike being pushed back into his cells. He felt vulnerable and weak, terrified in the colossal presence of this powerful woman. The animal within him clawed and clawed at the walls of his dead heart; he began to lose control. His teeth began to metamorphose into ivory daggers, his forehead bunching around his eyebrows. He couldn't stop it. His hands shot up around her neck and--

"And cut! Great. That's a wrap."
Sarah climbed tiredly off of James and smiled, extending a hand to him. He took it and she pulled him onto his feet, embracing him quickly.
"Nice job, James. I was really feeling it," she said.
"You, too," he replied. "As usual."
She shrugged. "Well, I try. Anyway, I'm off, Freddy and I have reservations on The Strip. You doing anything tonight?"
"Shakespear at Joss's. With Emma, Amber, and Nick."
Sarah nodded. "Nice. Have fun."
"I will," James told her. "See ya tomorrow."
"Buh-bye."
