Disclaimer: I don't own Max nor Zackā¦..I wish I owned Zack, I would've treated him a lot nicer.
Chapter1
There he was, smiling, at her. The familiar suspicious expression on his face was gone. Instead, it was replaced by a friendly tone.
"Do I know you?" he asked. "No, I don't think so," said she. And with those words, he turned his head, and never looked back.
It was one of those moments where one would feel a part of them has died forever. For Max, it took all her strength to not lunge after Zack and make him remember her. To make him realize how much he meant to her, how much she really loved him.
Max silently followed Zack out of the hospital. She had to make sure he was all right. She watched as Zack was helped into the truck, and continued watching until it was out of sight.
All in all, Max had suddenly begun to weep. She felt utterly useless. She had let the one who she trusted the most, out of her life. She had lost more than a confidant, but a childhood partner, who merely stood out against all the others.
In the end, if you really love someone, you let them go...right? And if they come back.......it's yours. But still, you never know what have, until it's gone. And no one was more aware of this than Max that day, who saw her self as the sorriest soul.
