CHAPTER 5
I don't even really like this book BTW! Please R&R :)
Napolian called an emergancy meeting in the barn.
"Comrades," he said, "It has been drawn to our attention that Molly, who we all thought of as a friend, has been telling the farmer across the street our secrets."
The were gasps around the barn.
"She has now run away, of course, and we don't know what she has been telling these men. They could be planning an attack this minute."
Even though a few of the stupider animals couldn't tell time they knew that was bad.
Napolian stood proadly, his front trotter raised in the air, "We must now think of defence tactics aswell as working, comrades. If we didn't, the humans could come in and we'd all be buried under the orchad with that sheep, or else sold back into the slavery we were in before."
He did a shifty-eyes thing and looked very evil. "This is what we must do..."
Squeeler had taken a trip out the farm to send a message to some rebellious pets in a shop in the town, and they had prepared the parcel for him.
The plan was for the pigs, boxer, the cows and other large animals to stampede down the road, sending the humans fleeing.
"But what's in this parcel?" Asked one of the dogs, supiciously glancing at Napolian.
"Details, details." He muttered moodily and carried on ordering the cows about, as they were the most easily distracted.
So they ran out the gate and into town. The pigs had forgotten about the cars in the road, but as soon as they realised this they gave the order for everyone to stampede on the pavement. It worked just as well, and cleared the street for the minute it took for a very fat looking chihuahua to give snowball the parcel.
But on the way back, Mr.Jones who had been drinking in the Queen Vic came out and reached for his shotgun that Peggy was holding and aimed into the mass of animals. The bullet hit Boxer on the leg, but he maneged to limp back.
Late the next day the animals gathered in the barn, where a soft evening light trickled through the windows. Napolian was looking evil again, and Snowball and Squeeler kept looking suspiciously at the door, or the other animals, as if they thought someone would find something out.
"So what's in the parcel then?" Purred the cat, lazily scratching.
"I'm sick of waiting." said the donkey, ripping the brown paper back.
He stepped back in horror at what he saw.
"Guns?!" said boxer, shaking.
"Yes." said Napolian, picking one up and pointing it around, "WE are the head animals, so get used to it!"
The animals seethed with fear and anger.
"Bwhahahahahahahahahaha!" Said Napolian, encouraging the pigs to join in his evil laughing, "Mwahahahahahahahahahaha!"
He looked very evil.
