Disclaimer: DragonBall Z is not mine. It does not belong to me. I don't make money off of it. SO DON'T SUE!!!
Okay this is a non-yaoi fic!!! This is not Goku/Vegeta. This is about Vegeta's thoughts on Goku. Thank you and have a nice day. Oh and this takes place before the android saga.
SLAM!!! With a backbreaking crack Vegeta hit the ground. "Ohhhh. That position can't be natural." Goku said.
Vegeta struggled to get up and continue his fight with Goku. "Vegeta maybe we should call it a day."
"Never." The words tasted bitter in his mouth. He was in as much a position to fight, as he was to give birth.
But his pride blinded his logic and brought him to the air. "Let's continue Kakkorat…" Vegeta didn't have the strength to say a sentence let alone fight with Goku.
"Vegeta…" Goku paused trying to think of a way to leave without insulting the might saiyan prince.
"Vegeta, Chi Chi said I have to be back in time for dinner or I won't get any of it. I better go or I'm going to be late."
"Fine…Kakk…Kakkor…Kakkorat. We will set a re-match."
Goku smiled seeing that Vegeta understood the concept of wanting to get home for food. He took off to go search for some.
Vegeta struggled in keeping airborne during the flight home. He was lucky it was so close. He collapsed into his bed after flying through the open window. "Damn you Kakkorat." He said.
Vegeta lay in his bed considering the damage done to him. His spine might be fractured. He wouldn't be able to walk straight for a while. There was a relatively small scrape across his forehead and several gashes on his legs. But the thing that had taken the most damage was his pride. It lay inside of him in several cracked pieces.
"Goddamn Kakkorat, will I always be looking up at you?" Angry tears spilled off Vegeta's face.
Kakkorat. It was a curse word on Vegeta's tongue. A plague to Vegeta's existence. Destruction of everything he had worked so hard to attain.
He remembered now. Remembered why he hated him so much. It was that he had killed Frieza, someone who had held Vegeta captive all of his life.
It was that he had attained super saiyan as a mere third-classmen and Vegeta, the prince of all saiyans could barely keep up.
It was that he saved Vegeta's life.
But most possibly it was that he knew. Knew that Vegeta was deeper than the angry façade. Knew that Vegeta was a good person. He knew Vegeta had a heart…
He was even Vegeta's friend. Well at least Kakkorat considered himself Vegeta's friend, but Vegeta certainly didn't see it that way. Kakkorat was the opposition, the enemy, and the prey.
Vegeta wanted nothing more than seeing Kakkorat die at his hands. He wanted it so badly he could taste it. But he had had his chance to kill him. But he had made a fatal mistake. And baldy could have killed him. But Kakkorat stopped him. Kakkorat saved him. Would he do the same for Kakkorat?
Of course. He wanted to see Kakkorat die at his own hands, not the hands of another.
Would he really kill him?
Vegeta paused. Would I really kill him? He thought.
Yes. No. Maybe. I'm not sure. "Damn." He cursed out loud. "I've lost the guts to kill someone."
Vegeta laughed at this mere thought. It was funny. It was funny how things had changed. How he would have killed Kakkorat in a second a couple of years ago, but now he wasn't so sure.
Vegeta strained his vision in the darkness of his room to see. To see that picture she kept on the wall opposite his room. That picture. It was Kakkorat. Smiling that goofy smile at the camera. "My best friend." He said sarcastically.
But he meant it.
Sappy, crappy, dumb fluff. Flames will be used to keep me warm. :-D.
