"'An we're continuing 're lesson wit' Unicorns," said Hagrid. He was the keep of keys and grounds at Hogwarts, and the Care of Magickal Creatures teacher.
A couple of girls out of both Gryffindor and Slytherin ran towards the Unicorn and began to stroke it. The boys stayed back, for they knew that Unicorns do not take kindly to boys.
She stood sat there on the branch watching the girls stroke the Unicorn. Laughing and giggling while doing it. She sighed and thought back to the conversation she had earlier...
*Flashback*
"Go to the... But...but that's impossible now. You know that..."
He raised his hand and cut her off. "The gate is open."
She blinked twice and stared at him. "Wha...what?"
"The gate is open. It drained most of our power when we opened it, for it is usually opened from the other side."
She looked down at her feet, then back up at him. "But, why me?"
He smiled slightly, "You were the only one we could locate. Everyone else is either far from here, or they've disappeared as well. Our world is disappearing. People are forgetting it. When something is forgotten, it ceases to exist." He turned to her with a serious expression upon his face. "It is time for the new ones to be brought here."
"But how will I know if they are.."
"They will figure it out for themselves. Just as the first ones did. You will only be there to guide them if they need you. You were one of the first ones, so I trust that you know what they will be going threw."
She smiled and nodded.
"Now, it is time for you to go."
"Yes." With one last smile his way, she unfolded her wings and took off into the portal...
*End of Flashback*
'Could one of these kids be one?' she thought to herself as the Unicorn glanced up at her. She gasped and flew onto a higher branch where she couldn't be see by the Unicorn. She had never seen a Unicorn in this world. The Unicorns in her world weren't really Unicorns, but they were the closest thing to this world's.
'I wonder how long it is going to take them to select the new ones...'
Suddenly, there was a loud clap of thunder. Pansy Parkinson, a Slytherin 6th year, screamed and ran inside Hagrid's hut.
Hermione Granger, a Gryffindor 6th year, laughed as she watched Pansy cower inside the hut. "Well, well, miss tough-guy's scared of thunder."
While the kids were wondering where the thunder came from, she didn't have to. She knew. Looking into the distance towards the Forbidden Forest, she saw a large mass of fog begin to assemble. She smiled slightly, "Show time..."
