Title: Unnoticed
Author: Ekat
Date: December 2001
Rating: G
Disclaimer: I don't own anything related to the show "Farscape", except a handful of DVDs. The concepts and characters of the production are owned by guys with more money than I have and, I'm guessing, much better lawyers. I do this for fun, not profit.
Why: Answer to the challenge to write a snapshot story about the Farscape bunch in 155 words or less.
Spoilers: None
*******************
For its entire memory it had existed on the giant ship, yet the crew and passengers never seemed to notice its existence. Not that it minded. The creatures were constantly bringing harm to its home. No, it didn't need social contact with them as well.
There was damage to an electrical conduit. The crew was too occupied to repair it themselves. But, if the Leviathan was to remain alive, somebody or something had to fix it. Cautiously it removed the access panel that granted entrance into the walls of the living space ship. Once inside, it quickly found the injury and with some careful splicing, it repaired the damage, leaving no trace that there had been anything wrong with the conduit.
The ship shook. With the efficiency found only in a biomechanoid, the DRD headed to repair the newest injury. Soundlessly it glided down the corridors, as always, unnoticed. Not that it minded.
