Naryu's Poem

Deep blue eyes,

Hair dark as midnight,

Skin alabaster in the moonlight,

As she watches the tides begin to rise…

"As the moon to the sea

Fate shall be to us three…

Raise thine eyes unto the stars

Clasp your hands and pray for the destined day

We shall look on it and say:

'This land is ours.'"

Naryu would give her life

To placate the gods

To suffer the rods

To end suffering and strife.

"Spirit of the land,

We are in need of your command…

"Bring to me the girls of incomparable power

O goddess of the lotus flower…

May you hear and heed my cry,

Lest we all be left to die…"

AN: Well, there you have it. It's finished. If anyone is interested, I woke up in the middle of the night, grabbed my notebook, and began to write this all down. Of course, the original was much shorter, but I made it longer to accommodate for a more in-depth look(@ this point anyway) at the situation, and not so much Naryu herself. Now I can get started on the story itself! BTW, if anyone is interested, I have fanatically detailed footnotes, profiles, etc. if you want me to send you some ^.^ Bye!
