Making Things Right
Summary: A half self insert... what I would be like in the "Lois and Clark" / "Smallville" universe.
Author Notes: Ok, I know the timelines don't match up, but... I don't care.
Disclaimer: I own no one but half of myself... I lost the other half in a bet involving apples, balloons, chocolate flavored body paint and a sewing needle... Don't ask.
*~*~*
"Clark! Lois! Get over here!!" Clark Kent and Lois Lane got up from their desks and made their way over to Perry White.
"What's up, chief?" Perry took a step back to reveal the medium height, brown haired, blue eyed woman.
"This is Alexia Luthorberg. Alexia is working for us now as a new reporter. I want you to show her the ropes." Clark turned his smile to the new comer, only to have it fade with the look she was giving him. Alexia had wide eyes, her mouth hung slightly open, she gasped.
"Oh my god!!!" Lois looked at Alexia and looked at Clark. Looked at Alexia, looked at Clark...
"You two know each other?"
Suddenly the look was gone. "No, I just thought Mr. Kent would be... taller." Clark gave the woman a puzzled expression and shook his head.
"Come on, we'll give you the tour."
*~*~*
Clark was filling up his mug at the coffee machine; Alexia Luthorberg had been glancing at him all day, sometimes out and out staring.
"I need to talk to you." Clark jumped at Alexia's voice and turned to her, showing her the coffee stain in his tie and the exasperated expression. "Oh give it up, this is more important than a two dollar tie." Clark frowned and before he could say anything, he was being pulled into an empty office.
"Alexia, what's this all about?"
"You're Superman!" Clark gaped at the whispered yell.
"No I'm not! I-I-"
"Oh come on Clark! It's so obvious!" Alexia snatched the glasses off Clark's nose and put them on. "Ooo, I'm Clark Kent!" Glasses off. "Now I'm Superman! Flying around in blue tights with my underwear over top!" Glasses on. "No, I'm Clark Kent, the reporter who works with other dumb reporters who can't see past my ingenious disguise of glasses!"
Clark gaped as Alexia made fun of him.
"I bet you even have that suit on!" Alexia darted at Clark and ripped open his shirt - thankfully the buttons remained in tact. Clark gasped again, hurrying to cover himself. "I knew it!! How can you expect to get away with that! It's a white shirt, you can see the blue through it!"
"I-I-"
"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone Clark... but you have to do me a favor." Clark looked at Alexia with caution and suspicion.
"What?"
"Go see my brother?"
"Who's that?"
"Lex Luthor."
"Lex!?"
"Lex."
"When?"
"How's today for you?"
"Uuuh.."
"He's been looking for you... finally found you today, that's why I'm here."
"Lex?"
"I thought we established this."
"I'm very tired."
"Go home and get some sleep. I'll pick you up at seven." Clark nodded numbly and went home. Strange day... very strange.
