One Way Escape
Dear mother,
I wish I could tell you how I feel. But since I can't I'll tell you in this letter.
I don't even know why I'm still alive. I had to watch as the ones I cared about died. Gohan, my only friend and teacher died in front of me. I know you say my wounds will heal, but these are wounds that just won't heal. I'm sorry but I have to do this. I hope you understand. Don't blame yourself. You were a wonderful mother. But I just can't take this world of death and destruction anymore! Soon I'll lose you also. And I don't think I could take that!
I don't think I'll ever show you this but I'm sure you'll find it. Live your life to the fullest. Don't drop as low as I did. Just to let you know mom…I love you.

By now tears were streaming down Bulmas face. If only he had told her sooner! She could have helped! She looked at the coffee table where his sword sat. His blood glistened in the light. She didn't have the heart to clean it off the blade. She never did find his body. He most likely fell in the river when he fell from the cliff. Bulma hand found the note as she was packing his things. It fell from a book as she picked it up. A light-knocking cam at the door. Bulma whipped the tears from her face before turning to look at Chichi. Chichi enveloped her friend in a hug; she too had lost her son. Chichi let her friend cry on her shoulder. It was all she could do, so they cried together. Cried for their husbands, their sons, their friends. They whipped their tears and sat in silence. Then Bulma spoke.
"Thanks."
"Any time."
