Gray Scale World (Julian's poem)

I live in a gray scale world

The sky is black, the ice is white

Everything else is gray.

It's a bleak world

Not much lives here except for my ancestors and I

And they are cruel.

They killed me, then brought me back

Their horrid little mouths twisting in laughter

They are jealous of me

For they once were as I am

A beautiful devil.

But fate took their angelic looks away

And turned them into my future.

A devil with the looks of an angle in a gray scale world.

What could I do?

I traveled the Worlds

Trying to find color.

Then I saw you.

You had something my life didn't

Light.

A light that burned.

A light that melted the gray world away.

I needed that light.

I needed you.

But you didn't want me,

Didn't need me.

You didn't understand

You called me cruel for loving you

But it was you who was cruel.

I needed you to live.

I needed you to get me out of this gray scale world.

I offered you anything

You called it a bribe and threw it back

I just needed you and you refused.

I loved you.

I saved you.

I died for you.

I was recreated back into this icy world.

An devilish angle in the dark

Suffering in a gray scale world.
