My Sunshine

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
It had started out the most beautiful day. The deep golden rays of the sun peeped out over the horizon and shone it's beams of gold over the glittering green grass and through the gaps of the thick green forest canopy. Below along a dusty brown dirt road trudged six friends, Lina, Gourry, Amelia, Zelgados, Filia and Xellos. Xellos suddenly stops as a beam of the golden light hit his face, causing Filia to bump into him.
"Baka!! What the hell do you think your doing?" She had screamed at him.
"A storms coming." Was all he stated and continued his walk along the road. It was then that the other four some to a halt and gave the purple haired mazoku a weird look.
"How the hell do you know that?" Lina remembered asking.
"Sore wa hitimsu desu." The mazoku smiled.
"Fruitcake." Filia muttered before the group ran to catch up to Xellos. They had only walked a hundred meters or so when Dynast had decided to show up unexpectedly. Lina remembered chanting the incantation to her Dragon Slave, she even remembered the explosion and the colours of red, orange, and yellow. Then all she could remember was black.

"Lina are you okay?" Gourry asked the redhead, his eyes filled with worry and concern. Lina snapped out of her daze.
"Yes Gourry, I'm fine." Gourry didn't look relieved.
"Gourry?"
"Yea Lina?"
"What happened after the explosion?"
"You don't remember?! Well the explosion was really strong and all of us were blown into different directions, I found you but you were unconscious so I brought you here, started a fire and went to look for the others. That's when the storm that Xellos told us about came so I had to stay here."
"Oh.." She looked around at her surroundings. They were in a cave. The cold clammy grey stone walls had patches of green mould growing on them, out side the heavy rain pounded the roof and grass outside. The stars in the dark sky tried to twinkle bright, but instead looked bleak and sad to Lina. Thunder roared and flashes of lightning lit up the dark land for a split second. Inside Gourry had started a small fire, that was now crackling away in the center. Lina shivered as she pulled her cloak around her small fragile body. She stared deep into the deep red and orange of the fire, losing herself in thought.... What happened??!!

You make me happy,
when times are sad

She felt a hand on her shoulder, she turned her ruby eyes to meet the deep blue ones of Gourry.
"Lina don't worry, I'm sure everyone is fine, after this storm we'll go out and find them. I promise"
"Thank you Gourry." Lina smiled, maybe he wasn't as dumb as I thought.

You'll never know dear
How much I love you
"Lina, It'll be fine I promise." Gourry whispered, turning the girl so she faced him.
"Gourry, I'm scared." Her tears began to fall.
"Shhhhhhh, Lina, don't be scared, there's no need to be. I'm here with you and I'm not going to leave you ever." He slowly leaned forward and kissed her softly on the lips.
"Lina I love you."
"I love you too Gourry."

So please don't take
my sunshine away.
