Thoughts of an Elf
by Galatyn Renner
Take the midnight watch
Dream of home and peace
Never sleep
Green and brown
The colors of my life
Though surrounded by stone
They are in my heart
Alone
The only Elf
Even in Lothlorien
Not my home
And the bow
Given me by Galadriel
The arrows that never miss
Whether by her magic or my skill
I believe it is magic
Gimli seems at home
The mountain to Dwarves
The forest to Elves
And the sea to me
If I ever find it.
Author's Note: Legolas belongs to Mr. Tolkien. The poem is mine.
