Waves of Darkness

Disclaimer: I do not own Gundam Wing or any of it's characters. I also do not own the song With you in your dreams by Hanson.

Note: This story was created for a friend of mine (Heero's Arch Angel) when her horse died. She took it pretty hard and I would be eternally grateful if you would review this story and say something for her. (I know most people think oh it's just a horse, but he was her best friend so please review!)
This is also my first songfic so tell me if I did it right.
Yaoi or Non-yaoi depends on how you look at it.
PWP- There is no plot. Sorry!

Waves of Darkness

The mobile suit crashed headlong into the ground.
The sound of metal twisting filled the air. The noise twisted like a knife through Duo's stomach, a pain and dread so terrible he could barely breath.
"Heero!" He screamed through the intercom.

Duo landed Deathscythe Hell and jumped to the ground. Pain shot through his legs, but he ignored it in his hurry. He rushed over to the
rubble that had once been Wing Zero, his heart beating in his ears. He dimly heard the sound of other suits landing near him, but his histeric mind
wouldn't register them.

Duo pushed his way through the tortured metal, shredding his hands as he shoved the pieces away. Finally, he reached what used to be
the cockpit of the gundam. There, laying in a pool of his own blood, was the proud perfect soldier. His body crumbled and torn, his breathing shallow,
he was barely alive. Duo pulled his barely concious form into his arms, tears burning a path dow his cheek.

"Duo..." Heero let the boy's name slip past his lips so quietly it could have been mistaken for a trick of the wind.
"God Heero, I'm so sorry. I should have been there. I should have..." Duo stammered, tears falling from his eyes like rain.
"Shh..." Heero whispered, lifting a trembling hand to wipe the crystaline drops away. "It's not your fault."

Footsteps crunched through the wreckage toward the pair. Violet and cobalt met in a moment of understanding. They both knew his
injuries were to severe. The knew... he wouldn't make it. The perfect soldier would die on this battlefield of honor. A fresh wave of tears
overcame Duo's defenses. For wasn't he himself the one that said boys don't cry?

Heero smiled graciously, a real true smile and went limp in his arms. Duo cradled the body even as the warmth left his flesh,
knowing he was gone, but unable to let go.

Quatra held Duo close as trowa eased Heero's body from his lap. Duo's clothes were stained with blood and he had a far
away look in his eyes. 'Shinigami had stolen another life. Another death to torture the braided boy's mind with. 'How death would
smile at that.' Duo thought dejectedly as Quatra led him away.

I don't want you to cry and weep.
I want you to go on livin' your life
I'm not sleepin' an endless sleep Hoo ohh
cause in your heart you'll have all of our good times.
All of our good times.

Duo stood before a large gray head stone wrapped snuggly in a dark black trench coat against the wind. He placed a
small red rose before the grave. A tear fled down his cheek as he turned away to walk back to the safehouse.

The wind picks up, carrying the rose with it. The rose floats away, over the trees, never to be seen again....
