Dedicated to Empress of the Eclipse and KoNy The Half-Wit for being such
awesome writers and for keeping me feeling squishy with lovely Taito and
Kensuke fics when I was feeling bad. It's short, and a crap excuse for a
fic, but I took a year-long break from writing and I don't think I'm
getting it back.

"Bye Daisuke! Thanks for coming. Watch out Hikari, don't let Daisuke jump you at night!" Tai called. He waved at the retreating group down the hallway.
"Don't worry! We'll keep Daisuke locked up. Ken and Iori can guard the cage." Miyako smirked. Daisuke chose to ignore Miyako's remark.
"No problem! You always throw the best parties!" Daisuke turned around and continued to yell while walking backwards.
"Suck up."
"Shut up, Miyako." Daisuke stuck his tongue out at her and tripped over Iori. When the loud squabbling died down, Tai went back into the apartment to find Yamato sprawled on the couch trying to reach the remote on the coffee table. After deciding it was worthless, he dropped his arm and tried to bury his face into the seat. Taichi sat on the floor and rested his back against the couch, turning his head so he can look at Yamato attempt to breathe the seat.
"Yama?"
"Uhhnn?"
"What do you think heaven looks like?" Yamato's head popped out. He cocked his head to the side and stared at Tai questioningly.
"Heaven?"
"Yeah."
"I don't know. I imagine it would have harps and fluffy clouds and angels with shiny halos and crisp white dry-clean only gown things that."
"Funny, Yama."
"Why the sudden question?"
"Well, Hikari mentioned that heaven was like the perfect world. You are with the ones you love, the things you love-"
"Ah, so heaven is a all-you-can-eat buffet?" Tai threw a cushion at Yamato.
"I'm trying to be serious here!"
"Well, now I've seen everything." Another cushion. Yamato growled and tackled Tai. A few moments of wrestling, hair pulling, and childish name- calling later, Tai had Yamato pinned to the floor and was straddling his hips. Yamato and Tai stared at each other, equally shocked. A tense and awkward silent moment passed by. Tai panicked, so he just bent down and lightly brushed his lips against Yamato's. They both leapt apart from each other like scalded cats.
"Oh my gosh. Yamato. I'm sorry, I panicked, and I didn't know what to do and." Tai went on rambling incoherently while pacing in a big circle around the room.
Yamato sat on the ground and stared at his hands as if they contained the secret to life.
'Oh. shit.. He kissed me. Me. Yamato Ishida. Odaiba High School, Year Four. Matt Ishida of the Teenage Wolves. He kissed me.' His heart raced. 'Does he have feelings for me? Why else would he kiss me? I'm his best friend. Guy friends don't just kiss each other! Why would he love me? He's already got Sora.' Yamato looked up at Tai. He was still pacing and babbling about sheep.
"Tai." Yamato's voice cracked. So he tried again.
"Tai!" No response.
"About your question before. what heaven is like. heaven is right here, with you." Tai swerved and narrowly avoided knocking over a lamp. He gaped like a goldfish, and seemed to have forgotten how to move. Yamato stood up unsteadily, and Tai miraculously regained control of his limbs. He reached out to cup Yamato's face with his hands and pulled him in for another electrifying kiss.
A/N: ;__; I'm not too happy about this one. This is the first story I'm posting for a long time, so I think it'll take me a long while to get back on track with writing. I have all winter break to work on it, though I doubt it'll help. Boost my ego? Slash it down again? Review!!
