A/n: I was looking back on some old fanfictions this morning when i saw this one. I looked at it, read it over and figured it was pretty good but corny as hell so i'm wirting a totally revised, LONGER, more detailed, less corny and mushy version of The Forgotten Timeline. I hope that you all enjoy :) and Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Kwanza, and whatever else some people might celebrate. And have a happy new year!!

The Forgotten Timeline
Prologue: Distant Dreams
By: Hope

What had happened afterwards? In the confusion I had gotten lost, the others disappeared from my sight and I found myself alone…cold. I didn't know what was happening, who I was, where I was. So many things were hidden in my mind, an endless fog that made me feel as though I never belonged, like something was missing…I heard the distant sounds of a roar and I turned around and began running towards it, towards the danger.

I couldn't remember why I was running towards the sounds of the fighting, the danger and terror but I kept running. I knew that I wanted to go back there, so badly I wanted to return to the life I had. I almost didn't care what would happen but I couldn't take it back…

I only wanted to say goodbye. I only wanted to say a last word to hi…to them. But the blue light was calling to me, it wanted me to go…We had made a deal.

Everything became so muddled and mushed together that I couldn't tell one thing apart from another. I stopped running and grabbed onto my head. The blue light was getting brighter and the only thing that I still knew was that I had done the right thing…I had saved them…I did the right thing…

"Good-morning California." The voice of the radio D.J. began to fill my head as I immediately sat up in my bed and opened my eyes, looking around my room nervously. "It's 6:30 a.m. and…" I hit the snooze button and wearily got up out of the bed, dragging myself to the bathroom.

I closed the door that connected my room to the bathroom and turned to face the mirror. My skin was cold but my face felt like it had been on fire. I turned the water on and scooped some up into my hands, throwing it onto my face in a weak attempt to cool down.

I couldn't be sick today, especially not today. It was the first day of my new school and I wouldn't let anything let me look any less than the best that I could.

I grabbed a towel and scrubbed it against my wet skin. After setting the towel down on the counter I looked in the mirror and sighed. "Well Danielle." I said to myself while reaching for a toothbrush. "Time to start a new life…"
