SHATTER WITH THE MEMORY.
@------;--------@-------;-------@
~~~~~~~~~~
Broken whispers on the glass,
Still remember you.
Shatter with the memory,
Leave me so that I can be,
Sorry that you made me see
What you thought was true.
~~~~~~~~~~
Breathe. In and out. // had to. no choice // Yes, people would see that he wasn't breathing. He had to keep it up. Not that anyone was looking at him anyway. Most eyes were fixed on the black veneer six feet beneath. Sickening sound as a handful of dirt hits the shiny lid. A sob. Rain falling softly. Almost a whisper. // tell me. what is it? Please. . . // He wished he could feel something. Anything. Anger, sadness, happiness, anything!! He thought he should. But this *nothing* inside him was all he had left. A part of him
had decided to crumble away.
In and out. It was something to concentrate on. Something other than the look in those eyes. Something, *anything* other than the shard of glass in his hand. The red stain on it. Slide down the sharp edge slowly. Fall. How it clung to his skin. The insane urge to wash his hands came back again.
// had to . no choice //
A broken window. There wasn't anything else in the room. His breath caught. // I take it back! please. what am I supposed to do now? // The rain was still falling. Feeling nothing had been a lot better in retrospect. This... mind numbing, gut wrenching pain was too much. He could have bitten him, but he promised he wouldn't, ever. He * promised *!
And there was nothing else in the room. God, did he even know? // I love you. I love you! I'm so sorry I didn't tell you. I take it back! You were the best thing. . . I love you. . . //
Rain. Soft, gentle and ice cold. He should be grateful for small miracles. If it wasn't for the rain, he wouldn't be able to be here. Not that it seemed to matter much at all. The pain would follow him no matter where he was, and no one else present featured in his mind for longer than it took to say 'you did the right thing', 'you had to. you had no choice. . . '
Ah, his mantra. Like a prayer for all he could never have now and never knew he wanted before.
// had to. no choice. //
~~~~~~~~~
. . .I love you.
Shatter with the memory,
Leave me so that I can be,
Sorry that you made me see.
You thought it was true?
Too late, but I do now, too.
~~~~~~~~~~
A/N : If I write more for this, it's quiet obviously gonna be slash. If you want more, just review and you shall receive. As always, constructive criticism, death threats welcome, though I prefer chocolate.
