Song: She Misses Him sung by Tim Rushlow
Rating: PG or G. I dunno
She shaves his face
She combs his hair
She sighed and brushed back his hair. It had turned white countless years past. He had still been able to flirt and tease with her then.
She helps him find his rocking chair
She cooks his meals
She wipes his mouth
And the window that he's looking out
She gently led him over to the window and had him sit down in his old rocking chair. The one he had made for her at the birth of their first child.
She reads him books
She speaks his name
"Tristan, I've got a new book for you today. Tristan?"
Oh every day is much the same
She sighs that sigh from deep within
The one that says
She misses him
She sighed slowly and it ended on a gentle sob.
She misses his gentle touch
And the way he used to make her laugh
She misses the man he was
In all of those old photographs
So strong, so kind, so sweet, so smart
The man who stole her very heart
She misses him
While cleaning out the old photos, she came upon the first one ever taken of them. It was their senior year of high school and they were in each other's arms. Tears were streaming down her face. She had just gotten her acceptance letter to Harvard.
His children come on Saturday
Their at his feet
His grandkids play
It's sad they don't know him at all
He's just the one they call grandpa
"Grandpa! We got a new toy! Wanna see?" the youngest grandchild sat at his feet and watched him, then turned to her, "Gramma, is he asleep?"
"No, dear. He's not."
They take out his trash
They mow his lawn
Things he can't do since he's been gone
She's grateful that they're pitching in
And like everyone
She misses him
"Mom, we're done. We're going to go now alright? Tell Dad that we love him."
She misses his gentle touch
And the way he used to make her laugh
She misses the man he was
In all of those old photographs
So strong, so kind, so sweet, so smart
The man who stole her very heart
She misses him
She hadn't realized she was in love with him until it was almost to late. He had given up almost all hope that she would ever fell the same way.
And yes they're still together
After all these years
But sometimes you can almost feel
The sadness in her tears
Laying next to him in bed, she lay silent as tears poured down her face, soaking her pillow, still wet from the night before.
She misses his gentle touch
And the way he used to make her laugh
She misses the man he was
In all of those old photographs
So strong, so kind, so sweet, so smart
The man who stole her very heart
She misses him
She was cleaning the room around him when she heard a sound. She spun around. Tristan was looking right at her. Not the vague, not really look of recent years, but clear-eyed and loving.
"Rory?"
