Title: Dear Tristan
Author: Netty
Dear Tristan,
You should've kissed me. I miss you and I regret that you felt that you couldn't kiss me because Dean was there.
Dear Tristan,
I miss you. How long before you come back?
Dear Tristan,
Why did you have to do that? Why couldn't you have stayed your obnoxious player self, instead of turning into a criminal?
I miss you…
Dear Tristan,
I broke up with Dean today. He says that I'll never be able to find someone who will love as much as he did. He's wrong though, isn't he? I'm just not sure…
I miss you…
Dear Tristan,
One more day until winter break. Maybe I'll see you. I hope so. I miss you…
Dear Tristan,
I don't even really have to write this one, since I'll be seeing you in less than two hours but I will anyway. I've missed you and I have a confession to make. I think I might be falling in love with you. Call me or something…
Rory quickly put all the letters in a manila envelope and ran out to meet her mom. They were going to her grandmother's for a Christmas 'shindig.' Don't ask, Emily had obviously gone off the deep end.
Rory walked into the library, still clutching the envelope. Tristan was sitting on the couch, reading, apparently waiting for the party to start.
She walked up behind him and tapped him on the head with the envelope. He jumped and turned around. Tristan smiled, "Rory, long time no see. Did you miss me?"
Rory grinned in response. "Actually, I did. I even wrote you."
"Really? I never got any letters form you."
"I just said that I wrote them, not that I sent them. Actually, this is them. Merry Christmas Tristan." She handed him the envelope and then left. Tristan stared at the envelope for a minute and then opened it. He sat there, slowly reading the words. Until he got to the second to last sentence of the last letter. He stared at in shock for a few minutes. Then he stood up and went in search of Rory.
He ran into her grandmother first. "Tristan dear, are you looking for someone?"
"Yes, have you by any chance seen Rory?"
"Why yes, she's in her room I believe. Why?" but Tristan was already gone.
He walked into the room, and saw Rory sitting by the window. He walked up behind her and noticed her tense. He wrapped his arms around her. "so you missed me?" She nodded slightly and leaned back against him. "and you think you may be falling for me?" Another nod. "good, since I fell for you months ago." He turned her around until they were facing each other. He looked into o her face and saw her smile. His head tilted down and hers came up, until their lips met. They were together, at last.
