A Game of Quidditch

Chapter 1 : The Dance...

"May I cut in?" Fred asked, disrupting the dance between his twin and me.

"George, do you mind?" I asked my dancing partner

"No, not at all," with that, he left.

It was quiet for a while, we were just dancing...quietly.  My arms around his neck, and his arms, circling my waist.

"So..." Fred said, breaking the silence

"So...yeah," I replied awkwardly. "We have a game tomorrow...against Hufflepuff was it? or Slytherin?"

"Ravenclaw," He corrected.  I don't know why....for some reason...I can't think straight when i'm around him.

"Yeah...Ravenclaw..." I was supposed to replace Angelina in the Gryffindor Quidditch team because her ankle was injured in yesterday's match against Slytherin.

Another pregnant pause.

The song ended, thank God.  There is something about him I'm quite afraid of, just something about him.  I'm much more comfortable with his brother, it's amazing how two identical twins could be so different.

We broke off, finding our separate ways.  He's probably looking for other girls to dance with.  As for me, I just want to find George, to finish our dance that was once disrupted.

"George?" I tapped on the shoulder I knew so well, the shoulder that I often rest my head on while walking to common rooms after a long, tiring Quidditch practice.  He turned around from the circle he was in, consisting of our friends.

            "Yeah?" He replied

"Nevermind."  He mad some room for me to squeexe into, but i refuse, and walked away instead.

As I walk myself to the refreshment table, I spotted Fred, surrounded by girls as usual, working his charm on at least one of them...if not all.  He looked at me and smiled.  I smiled back, and quickly turned away.

I was amazed by their differences.  Fred is outgoing, confident.  George...it's hard to describe him...he's sensitive, he understands me.  Dont get me wrong, Fred is also sensitive...but it's still different.  George is more like my bestfriend, a very bestfriend.  I couldn't picture him being more than just a friend...

Fred on the other hand.....

A/N : How is that for the first chapter? Kinda weird…don't you think?? Well, R/R and maybe I'll write the next chapter!!
