Everything... Everything was gone... His lord, his country, his love. All destroyed by his own 2 cursed hands. Crawling over to the cold corpse, his legs temporarily paralyzed, he struggled. The pain was tremendous, but he didn't give a damn. The others were starting to wake up, all seeing what they had done.
They were cursed, they were darkness. They had ruined their homes.
Leaning against a stone pillar, Zoicite panted for breath as he moved Ami's corpse into his arms. It was still... warm? A hushed breath was heard from her. He nearly gave a cry of joy.
"Ami, oh gods, Ami, wake up!" Her eyelids struggled to open.
"Ami-chan! Oh please, don't leave me alone." Her eyes opened. Upon seeing his eyes, she smiled.
"Zoi..." She whispered, shuddering as her broken ribs impaled her lungs further. Blood seeped from the side of her mouth. Zoicite's strong will and wit left him as he hugged her close, shaking like a newborn babe felt in a cold winter wind. "Ami, oh gods, Ami..." Around him, the other 3 generals found their loves, dead. Their cries of anguish and pain ran through the now barren landscape. Ami struggled to move, but Zoicite's powerful arms kept her close.
"I'm so sorry, so sorry..." He kept on saying. Ami shook her heads and embraced him loosely. Closing his eyes, Zoicite hugged her tighter, tears streaking down his face. "it's okay... I'm sure that... we'll meet each other... again..." She said brokenly. "No Ami. You'll survive this... we both will." He said. Ami smiled. "I'll love you... for eternity..." She said, her smiled still on her lips. "Always...." He answered and kissed her. She sighed happily and then leaned into his chest.
"Ami..." No answer.
"Ami?" She was silent, her chest wasn't moving.
"AMI!" She was dead.
"NO! AMI!!" Zoicite hugged the now cold body to his, hoping against all odds that his warmth would bring her back. Finally he realized that she was gone. Suddenly there was a cackle of pure evil and the 4 generals focused on the sky. Struggling up, Zoicite looked up in pure hatred.
"BERYL! YOU KILLED AMI!" He cried.
"No... You did my warriors, in my name! And you shall continue doing so! You are now warriors of the Dark Kingdom!"
"NEVER!" Jadeite cried, letting loose a great wave of fire.
"Then... you shall perish!" A great blast of darkness destroyed the wave and then pounded upon the 4 weakened warriors of the Golden Kingdom. One by one they fell to their knees when Zoicite let loose a great cry, his aura blazing up. Standing quickly, he gathered his love for Ami, the sadness of losing his home, his anger for loosing Ami, and turned them into power. He felt his rage turn into ice, his sadness into water, and his love a great power. The others gathered up their power, all 4 not caring if they died.
'Not enough power!' Zoicite thought desperately. Suddenly a pair of small hands covered his. Glancing, he saw the shade of Ami, smiling softly, behind him.
"Ami..."
*I'll love you... for eternity...* She seemed to say. Her eyes turned upward towards Beryl, Zoicite following her gaze. Suddenly the hands disappeared, leaving Zoicite alone, yet seemingly, she was still there. Glimmering sparkles of blue light surrounded him. He could feel her love around him, providing him power then he ever had, nor ever will. He felt not only Ami's love, but her planet's power. Amazing, that a frail girl like her had this much power. But it didn't matter now. All that mattered was that Beryl had to die, here and now.
With a great cry, he let loose the swirling ball of power straight at the retched thing. The other generals let loose their pain, their anguish, their love, and Beryl screamed....
Then there was silence...
