Mayonaka (Midnight)

"Syaoran, No!" I screamed. I felt my heart breaking, he had chosen another.

"Sakura, you know that I must, goodbye." Syaoran's voice was oddly shaky, and not as clear as it used to it. He walked away leaving Sakura by herself in a black world.

"Syaoran, you can't," Sakura cried desperately. Syaoran just walked away, he didn't even seem remorseful. Sakura was left in a heap of tears and shame, why had she failed?

Sakura sobbed as if the world had come to an end, for it had for her. She looked up through tearful eyes and saw only his face. Slowly she hobbled to her feet, even though she felt numb all over. Looking around she saw only circles. The roads never ended and the sky was closing in with tremendous force. Sakura was knocked down by a stray wind, for she had no desire to stay upright.

The world was going against her for she had no reason to eat, no reason to breathe, no reason to live...

The memories that she had so painstakingly kept, and sorted until they were perpetually in her thoughts she was now trying to forget. Syaoran had never hurt her before like this, never told her that there was another, nor did he tell her that she was the nothingness that she knew she was without him.

Dark and stormy was that night and Sakura never attempted to shield herself from the fierce winds that ensued. They tore at her heart so fearfully that if it were not already broken it would have been then. Sakura's mind could never be poisoned against Syaoran and as much as she tried, only good thoughts came to mind when she thought of him.

In the bitterness of despair Sakura wailed her remorse. Syaoran was lost to her forever, how could she live?
