((Author's Note: You caught me. I'm ashamed. I'm a Britney Spears fan, its
true. But the reason is because well.. okay.. hormones do it to the elf..
and.. well. The music is good! I find a lot of meaning in her songs. More
than a certain Christina Augilera, who's gut is larger than my alchoolic
stepfather. But, *ahem* anyway. This is, of course, another Kurtty fic.
I've always wondered if maybe I should write a Lancitty, but for some
reason I just can't get off Kurtty. I don't really like Tabikurt. Or is it
Kabitha? I don't know. I sorta of like the word Tabikurt. Maybe I should
write a Scitty. Now there is a funny word. Or Kott. Ouch. That one is
gross. Its going to be a JAT, of course. Anyway, on with the fic, right?!))

"Bombastic Love, So Fantastic
Where I'm completely yours, and you are mine.
(Its gonna be) exactly like in the movie
When we fall in love for the first time."
-Britney Spears
Kitty stared out the window sadly. Something had been happening around the institute lately. After Tabitha had left, Kurt had seemed down, for the first time. He just wasn't his usual happy self. She missed it. She'd always acted like it annoyed her, but now she just missed it.
For the first time.
She'd spoke to Rogue about it, but she couldn't bring herself to tell Rogue the truth. She had lied to her about her feelings, trying so hard to be completely serious.
For the first time.
Now she sat on her bed, all alone. Completely absorbed in her thoughts. Completely inarticulate. She had nothing to say.
For the first time.
Kitty stood and looked to the door. She imagined Kurt running in, coming to keep her company. And she wouldn't be annoyed.
For the first time.
She stepped out in the hall. Even with the other conversing mutants, she felt alone.
For the first time.
She reached the door to his room, and pressed her ear up against the door. She heard the sound of faint sobbing. Kurt was crying.
For the first time.
She placed her hand on the handle to notice it was locked. She sighed and prepared herself to phase through. She stepped in on the plush carpet, finally coming into Kurt's room without his permission.
For the first time.
Kurt was on his bed. She walked over to him and placed her arms lightly around him, hugging him to comfort him.
For the first time.
He placed a hand on her arm, accepting her comfort and taking full advantage of it. He pressed his head against her chest.
For the first time.
Kitty lifted the elf's head and stared deeply into his glowing orbs of yellow.
For the first time.
And she leaned forward, taking his in a kiss. One of passion. Sincereity. One of hope. Apologies. Of true love.
For the first time.
Something came over her soul. A pure, mild and warm feeling.
For the first time.
She'd fallen in love.
For the first time.
